On-time, professional and informative. Answered all of my questions and followed-up with phone calls regarding the quote.

As advertised the work was done without leaving any dust in just a few hours. The workers were on time, very polite and professional. The drying time took a little bit longer than I was told, i.e. 24 hours instead of overnight. However, this could have been due to the high level of humidity since it was raining. I am very pleased with my 'new' floors. Please note that the company has a minimum charge. I intended to have only one room done leaving the other for a later point in time thus making it easier to move the furniture. However, the company owner informed me that it would lower costs substantially to have both rooms done at the same time. Indeed, having the second room done, which was almost the size of the first room, only added $100 to the total bill.

I had an estimate (7 months old) to patch a small section of flooring due to remodeling. I 3'X4'. I called this company because they had installed my kitchen floor originally. The price was $425 and I had been told by the estimator (initials JB) that this was the minimum price. I called him a couple of days later and told him that I would call to schedule when my remodleing work was done. (Didn't want to mess of the new floor with remaining construction). I called the company last week and spoke to the owner. He couldn't find the original estimate so wanted to start from scratch. We set up an appointment and he arrived promptly. I couldn't immediately put my hands on the original estimate but told him that it was the minimum $425. He said that the minimum was now $900. I was surprised at that price and that it had jumped so much in a relatively short period especially since inflation is so low. I told him I'd hunt for the estimate and he said it didn't matter because it was passed 30 days. I told him I didn't consider it a $900 job and he said OK, I could probably "get someone who could do it from the back of their pickup". I also got the strong feeling that he didn't believe that I had gotten the original estimate. After he left I found the estimate that had the price and also the estimator's initials. I called the owner and left a message that I had found the estimate (I understand that technically it was no longer valid) but I wanted him to know a) the name of the person who had given me the estimate and b) that I was not making it up. I also indicated that I didn't appreciate his unprofessional attitute and that I was a member of Angie's List. He did call me back immediately to apologize. He said that the estimator may have meant the minimum for refinishing the floors not repairing. The estimate clearly stated that the job was for installing 20 square feet of oak flooring. While I appreciated that he called and apologized, I think that he should have honored the estimate and that he shouldn't have been as rude about the whole situation.

They are great! Prompt, completed the job, and were out quickly!

Unbelievably fabulous. After a horrible experience with another company, Pro Sand came in and undid their mess and finished our floors beautifully with almost NO down time or dust! This included finding hundred year old boards to match the originals in our house. Stunning work! Now we have the beauty of our historic floors with the convenience of upkeep like new floors!!!

Rebuttal to Pro Sand Hardwood Inc?s Response: Due to all the lies and distortions that were told in the response of Mr. Padron to our complaint, I feel compelled to set the record straight. We were aware that the floors were not in great condition, otherwise they wouldn?t need to be refinished. But because of Mr. Padron?s assurances that the floors would ?look great? we fell into his web of lies. My aunt and I were acting on behalf of my mother due solely to the fact that she was at work. At no time was it mentioned that she was in any way impaired, or not in her right mind. In fact she is so highly intelligent that had she done the interview she probably would have seen right through Mr. Padron. What we resent the very most is that in lying so blatantly, we were deprived of the chance to either put in all new floors or lay carpeting. When we mentioned laying carpeting Mr. Padron went into a paroxysm of fervent assurances that the floors would look very nice once again. There was never any human feces on or around the house. There were pet stains, which we were told could be taken care of. As far as finding ?additional money for added services?, that is totally untrue. We gave Mr. Padron the opportunity to come down in price to meet that of another bidder. He did so to be more in line with the competition. Pro Sand was never complimented on the work and Angie?s list was never mentioned. As a matter of fact, Mr. Padron was never present during or after the job was complete until there was an issue with the quality of work. This began with a large black spot in the hallway that we saw from the kitchen before we had to leave the home to allow the floors to dry. This issue was resolved after voicing our displeasure. It was only after we were able to return to the home (48 hrs after completion) that we could inspect the full scope of the work. We called immediately after seeing the poor workmanship. At that point Pro Sand had been paid in full due to their payment policy. Three different family members tried to contact Mr. Padron to try and resolve the issues, and all three were met with a rude and unprofessional response. In fact, Mr. Padron hung up on one family member. In summation, our experience with Pro Sand was stressful, costly and ended with an extremely disappointing outcome. Mr. Padron is a wolf in sheep?s clothing, being very congenial and personable until he has flummoxed his victim into signing up, then his true colors show. He cannot be trusted to follow through with the job as promised. He is a consummate liar, and in our opinion, a con man. We want to warn anyone considering hiring this company-BUYER BEWARE! WE don?t want anyone else to go through the same ordeal that we have had to endure.

They did an excellent job. They did not leave a big mess of dust. It was amazing, you couldn't tell floors had been sanded. I would definitely use them again.

Gave an immediate quote on the phone based on square footage I gave. Showed up to do work on time and rechecked square footage to make sure quote was correct. They were done in the time estimated.

The team arrived at the scheduled time and had plenty of workers on the job to finish the sanding, buffing and getting the first coat of sealer on in one day. One of the gentlemen from day 1 came back on day two to add shoe molding and apply a second coat. The work was on schedule and the price was fair. The sanding was dust free as promised!

It was a difficult job, but they performed well. The only complaint is that they left splashes of stain on our white woodwork in some places.

It went good. They quoted me about $1700 to refinish the flooring in the kitchen, entry, hall and half bath. He came out and showed up when he said he would. He explained the procedure and what products he would use. It took about 60 minutes, he asked if I had questions. The only thing that was holding us back was that we have 2 dogs and we are trying to find a time when we can get them out of the house without kenneling them. I think he was the owner of the company.

They were kind. I would not refer anyone to this company. The work was kind of messy. He didn't warn me that my baseboards would have to be repainted. My baseboards were stained. Initially, he didn't come very close to the color of stain we wanted. I now use a different company.

The quality and integrity was very good. They came to my home and gave us an estimate, which is what I payed. They came on-time, but went over their estimated time for completion. They were professional and the cleaned up when they finished.

It was wonderful. They were done in a timely. I was satisfied with everything.

The representative was very knowledgeable on his product and he quoted the job. He just did not think our floor could be stained the color we wanted and did not want to do the job.

The floors look great! They got all of the work done in one day. When they finished, there was a part that I was unsatisfied with and called and was told to contact the owner. He said it would cost $150.00 for someone to come out and fix it. I told him I will just do it myself. I felt he was being rude and condescending to me and that upset me.

They did a great job. He said he was 99% dust free, and he was! I have cherry floors, and he was able to locate cherry floor registers, and I've never been able to find these.

This was not a straightforward job. Since the floors are so old some extensive repairs were needed. Carl walked through the whole process with me and explained my options for patching the floors to best match the old wood. Carl and his assistant Ken did a wonderful job on the floors and I was very happy with the outcome. They promised very little dust and mess and that was true. Even when issues came up, Carl kept me well informed and made adjustments so that the floors turned out looking great.

I have used Pro Sand before for my Living Room and Dining rooms. This time I wanted to finish the rest of the wood floors in the house. I called them to give me a quote and he came out on the same day. Two weeks later, as scheduled, they came and sanded and refinished the 3 bedrooms and hallway. Everything looks great, both the old and new. The finish they use holds up very well. They really are 99% dust free which is hard to imagine with sanding wood floors. They even sanded next to newly painted baseboard and did not even scratch it.

Carl came out to provide an estimate and showed me samples of the available stains. He provided a quote and then finished the job under the quoted price. Scheduling was a breeze, I called Carl and was able to schedule to have the work done approximately 2 weeks after the quote. Carl and his assistant arrived on time the day the job was to begin and were finished two days later. Carl and his team were very professional and showed me several different stain options and I ended up going with the natural finish of the floor. I would highly recommend Pro Sand, they did a great job.

A project that was to be simple and straightforward turned into the nightmare everyone dreads. We were going to repaint the bedroom, hang new curtains and hardware, remove old carpeting, and just buff hardwood floors that were going to be in good shape. The first day we sanded walls, removed anything peeling, filled cracks, sanded trim, etc. We painted the first coat of ceiling paint and first coat of trim. GREAT!...Overnight the rains came, although air conditioned, the house filled with humidity and the basement filled with 7 inches of water...the spackle checked and cracked, the paint ($45/gal) bubbled and in some place split and in some areas just peeled off the wall. When the rain stopped we set up industrial fans and started back to sanding, spackling, priming, and finally painting the affected ares. After 3 coats of ceiling paint and 2 coats of wall and trim paint, we tackled the floor. After ripping up the carpet we found that the floor had markings that resembled bicycle tire tracks on it. We called in the pros. Turns out it was from the old padding from the 40's which was made out of nylon and did not let the floor "breathe" after rug cleaning. Although he was on a job, Carl came to break my cycle of frustration. He scheduled me for 2 days later and actually came a day earlier. His employee, Sean, was on time, pleasant and efficient. He left 5 hours later with my floor looking better than I had even dreamed. I was promised 99% dust free and that was exactly what I received. Sean kept his tools contained and organized. He left me with instructions for the care of my beautiful new floor and absolutely NO MESS to clean up afterward. When other carpeting is taken up and wood floors exposed, this is the company I will deal with exclusively.

The owner and one person arrived at the time scheduled and called one-half hour prior to be sure someone was home. I was told that it would be 99% dust free and it was. They left the premises clean.

The overall experience has always been good. Pro Sand wants you to be happy with their work. This is worth a lot.

This first appointment Carl missed and when my fianc ' called him back they rescheduled the appointment for an evening and Carl was actually there about 45 minutes early. He has a lot of knowledge and suggestions based on how the area is going to be used and I trust his expertise. There was very little dust left in the house. Most of it was just on the very tops of the baseboards and all I did was take a broom and wipe it off and used the mop to clean the floor. We have had probably 40 friends stop by because they wanted to see how good it turned out. They were all amazed also.

They were on time, very professional, did a very good job- the floors looked like new. They even went above and beyond and sanded and stained quarter round and several baseboards(right by floor that was nicked) without being asked and did not charge extra. There was virtually no dust. They were done in one day because they use commercial grade materials verses other companies quoting 3-4 days. They even supplied cleaning materials x 1 year and guaranteed their work x 5 years. Other companies refused to do that. I would highly recommend them. They were done exactly on time too. They were about the same price as other quotes I got.
