The gentleman was very rude and very unpleasant in our home. I had to call his boss and even tell on him with how he was treating us. He was very aggressive like he wasnt willing to do the job and also tried to charge us additional charges when I had already paid my deposit. He wasnt right at all!

Super! Mark the technician took close to 30 minutes doing a complete inspection of the property. He then tokk the time to explain how termites invade/live in a house.

It went great -- have had fewer problems with pests inside the home.

1) Gold seal rescheduled their first appointment. 2) On the rescheduled(2nd) appointment which was on 8/15, no one showed up. I had arranged my work and stayed home as wanted get the exterior as well as interior treatment. Gold seal did not contact me until I complained to Angies list this week. 3) Even after I complained to Angies list, no one from Gold Seal has called me to apologize. I got an email from someone called Greg(from GoldSeal) asking me to call him to reschedule the appointment. 4) Gold Seal has not called me to reschedule the appointment, they want me call and reschedule. Who is the customer here?

When they guy came out he did not want to go inside for the inspection, he said it was not part of the deal. I was getting these strange little bugs on a glue strip. He said he did not know what it was and he would take it back with him and let me know what it was. I never heard back from them, I called them and they told me they never received the glue strip. He called me back and told me it was a beetle or something but, it couldn’t identify it for sure. He told me it was a bug that would get into flour and that if I had any flour open in the house to throw it away. They told me they would come back out and spray again. They called me from my house because it was raining they were going to have to reschedule but when they came back out they would leave a note on the door. I never heard back from them to reschedule and never saw a note on the door that they had been out again.

Used an Angie's list coupon for the treatment for ants so I feel like I got a good price. Technician showed up right on time and called ahead to make sure I would be there. Showed up when expected and did a good job locating problem areas and treating them accordingly. Followed their instructions on follow up care (none needed) and haven't had an issue since about a week after they left - they said to give it 2 before I called again. Whatever they did worked great! Great experience, will use these guys again next spring when the ants come back!

Executive Summary: This company takes way too long and far too many phone calls to actually extract the animals once they've been caught, resulting in complaining neighbors and unnecessarily suffering animals (raccoons) Details: We hired Gold Seal to remove a family of 5 raccoons (1 adult, 4 babies) from underneath our deck. I know there were 5 because I saw them all together at once, and I even managed to get a picture of all 5 running along our fence after I scared them out of a tree. Gold Seal had the best price of the 3 places we called, so we gave them the go ahead. After explaining our situation, they came out and set A trap. Why they set 1 when we clearly stated we had confirmation of 5 is unclear to me (perhaps there is a good reason that was never communicated), but whatever. The trap quickly caught a raccoon, and they promptly removed the raccoon. And that's when things started to go downhill. When my wife called after the second raccoon had been caught, they didn't come out and remove it. The next door neighbor complained because she felt bad it had been sitting there for so long. So she called again the next day (nothing). So I called and left a pretty nasty message. They still didn't come the next day. So then my wife had to call AGAIN before they finally came and got it! After picking the second raccoon up, they set two traps. But the technician didn't secure the bait properly so they were able to get it from the side without getting caught. We called and they rebated the traps. The two traps then caught 2 raccoons sometime on a Saturday night. We noticed early Sunday morning, and called and left a message. When I get home from work on Monday, both raccoons are still there. My wife felt so bad for them that she used a stick to turn over the can of bait and poor in some water for them. They had rubbed their arms raw from trying to get out of the cages for multiple days. I called and left a very nasty message Monday night (tonight). I am paying literally hundreds of dollars to have a humane animal removal, yet their frequent and excessive delays are proving to result in an inhumane service (in my opinion). I don't hate raccoons, and I don't want to see them suffer. I just don't want them living under my deck. I'm considering using a different service to remove the 5th raccoon, which will likely end up costing me extra money (since new service calls cost more than an additional animal extraction). I really hope other people's experiences with Gold Seal are better than mine has been. But the bottom line is that I could never recommend this place to anyone. Our experience has been HORRIBLE compared to other services that we've used that have the Super Service Award.

We noticed yellow jackets coming and going underground in the space where the driveway abuts the foundation of our house, just outside the service door. Initially, they weren't aggressive so we tried to live with them until winter when they would (hopefully) die off. A couple of weeks later, our dog was stung on the face and I was stung on the arm trying to shoo them away. I researched the type of insect it seemed to be and then resarched exterminators in our area through Angie's List. Because of the many calls they had had regarding similar problems, it was four days before they could get to us. In the interim, I was stung again much worse and was ready to terminate these things no matter the cost. On the scheduled day, the technician called ahead as promised and arrived during the time frame scheduled. After looking at the area, he said, "How about $50.00?". Deal. Nothing we had done up to this point had worked--spraying pesticides and plugging the hole. There are just some things you delegate to the experts. He sprayed three pesticides down through the void, and said "I don't think they'll be coming back". Time will tell, but I hope he's right. If not, I'll certainly let them know. He did offer routine preventive services, but because we have young grandchildren here frequently, I declined and he was very understanding. I appreciated his understanding on this matter.

Dennis Duckworth was awesome! We agreed on a time for him to come out which he was accommodating to my schedule and he called 15 minutes beforehand just to touch base. This was really cool because I'm used to people being late! He was professional and very informative. When it came time to pay he reminded me of the 10% discount from Angie's List....nice:) Thanks for your help!

First, ad on Angie's List for special price did not specify clearly what was on sale. Tried twice through Gold Seal office to find out exactly what was included in sale price . People in office were vague and kept referring me to field service man who didn't contact me until after second call to office. When he did, he just told me a time when he would do the job. Since home was vacant, I was there when a different service man arrived and he was very brusque. After persistent questioning, I finally found out , I think, what I bought and what it did. He installed the system promptly, telling me first that entire building ( a double) would require installation of vessels that he placed in the ground. About 5 minutes later, I think after calling the office, he said that only my half of the double would require the system. He installed the system promptly, brusquely presented me with a contract for the first time, had me sign, went to his truck and said that his next job was his last for the day I finally got a full description of the system and what it does. by going to DowAgriSciences website and printing their description of the system. I am not sure that I have any paperwork from Gold Seal that tells me what the price included and what happens during first year and each year thereafter. Based on info from Dow website, I am pleased to have the system. Based on my contacts with Gold Seal personnel, not sure I would want to do business with them again. Vague, confused, appearance of lack of coordination, and brusque and officious demeanor of service man.

Very polite & professional.. ... came on time... sprayed inside areas I wanted... and went outside and sprayed all around the house... gave me some great advice.. and some info of things he noticed outside that were very helpful... I have already shared his info w/several neighbors... I would defiantly use them again!!! Great service!!

The service went well! We will continue to use them in the years to come.

I awoke Friday morning to a buzzing noise inside my bedroom. It was near the window so I got some bug spray & sprayed the area & it stopped. Later I heard a louder buzzing noise but there was furniture in front of the window so I couldn't see. Later that afternoon my neighbor came over & helped me move the furniture. There were blinds covering the window & I opened them just slightly & saw a rather large hive in the corner of the window. I uttered the words oh my god, sprayed the area well & closed the blinds. I wasn't sure who to call but then I thought - Anglie's List! I typed in bee hive removal (I didn't know exactly what kind of hive it was) & up came several names. I saw Gold Seal's name & I had used them last year for an ant problem so I called them. It was 5:30 on Friday (7/25/2014) & I wasn't sure if I would even reach anyone. Someone did answer & I explained my problem. He said he didn't have anyone he could send that day but he could have someone come Saturday morning. In the meantime, he explained what I should do which was spray the area & then seal the room off. He said to close the door & put a towel at the bottom so they couldn't get out. The man called Saturday morning about 8:30 & said he would be here at 9:00. He arrived & we went to my room. He walked right over to the window & pulled the blinds up. He laughed & said that it looked like I had killed them all with my spraying. He said he would dispose of the hive if I would get him a trash bag & since I had done all the work he wasn't going to charge me. I totally appreciated that fact as my finances are already badly strained. He also showed me holes where they had come in & suggested I get them sealed as soon as possible. This company has rescued me twice and has been nothing bud good to me. I would not call anyone else. They are the best.

To be faire, the guy is very nice and professional. Their technician is helping to put some feds that kill ants behind my fridge and under the sinks. I haven't seen ants nearby. But the outside spray does not help at all. I still see ants inside my house and in my bouderies outside afterwards. products or the place where they spary do not seem to be able to kill enough...

Everything went very well when the technician came out and treated the laundry room. We never had any more problems after that day. He was not able to spray outside the house due to a foot of snow on the ground. He told me someone would return after the snow melted. That never happened. I was also told someone would be calling me when the next spray was due to schedule it. I was never called. I paid the full price of the contract on the day he came out to treat the laundry room. By the end of April, I started seeing some little sugar ants in the kitchen and wondered when they were going to come out to spray so I called and scheduled a spray myself. The man came and sprayed. All was fine. Then we started receiving bills for the spraying. I called the company and explained we had a contract that included the spraying and that it was already paid in full. The woman told me she couldn't find our file and would get back to me. I never heard from her. We got another bill in June, this time with a fee assessed for late payment. Again, I called. Again, I was told they couldn't find our information. This time I gave her the check number and the date that I wrote it back in February. She said she would look into it. I never heard from her if they did. We called back in mid-July to inquire as to the status. The woman we spoke with again could not find our information. We again gave her the check number and date it was written. She said she would look into it. Now, just 2 weeks after that conversation, we have received yet another bill for this service with another fee assessed for late payment. This company continues to assess late fees even when we have contacted them 3 times regarding the payment that has already been made! As of this writing, we have contacted the company again and left them with all the same information. We were told they would call us back. Again. Fat chance! The only good aspect to this company was that the work done did solve the problem we were having and the technician was very professional. However, the company can't seem to get organized enough to keep track of payment. We no longer want to work with this company and can't recommend them to anyone else. Update: After posting this review, I received a call from the owner the next day. He apologized for the problems and agreed to refund our money and to give us the Tri-Annual Pest Control service free for the year. They have come out to spray again and the ant problem has not recurred. While I'm not thrilled with the way our account was initially handled, I certainly have to give them credit for acknowledging the problem and making it right.

Service person was great. HOWEVER the company has tried to lock me into a long term pest control contract.. I did not want this and did not expect it as part of the Big Deal through Angies list. After multiple phone conversations with the office I 'believe' the issue has been resolved. But I thought that before. We will see.... it has felt as though they offered a deal only to try to hook me into a long expensive contract in a less than straight forward manner. Be cautious.

They did a good job, they were prompt, Their pest control was adequate, I would use them again

I thought I had written a report soon after the job was done. As best I can recall, the work was very satisfactory, and we are going to be calling them again.

Wonderful. They advised us on the phone about whether or not to go ahead with the new deck, then came out to assess within 2 days. They told us we had no termites and what the critters were instead. There was absolutely no charge for this assessment. He could have told us we had termites and we would have believed him, but he was very honest. They offered us a special Angie's List deal if we would like to sign up for pest control service, and then left it up to us and left, no charge. Very honest, friendly and professional.

They were a little late...but apologized for it. Not sure about the quality yet, as it has only been a couple of days.

Everything went okay. I don't know enough about it to tell what I would recommend. They were punctual.

They were fine. They were very professional and they were willing to answer questions give suggestions. I felt no pressure from them to have to purchase another option later and I appreciated that.

Arrived on time. Was very friendly. Went the extra mile to satisfy us.

They did a very good job. There were no additional charges above the Big Deal that I purchased. The only problem I had was that I waited all day for them to come. They had given me hours and then I called. They said they had already been there. They ended up having the wrong address so they went 2 houses down so that person got it free. Then they came back and did mine. I wasn't home when they came the second time.
