He did not have much to clean up as he was just working on the front door. Everything went as expected. There were no disappointments.

+ -1 moreThe locksmith was punctual, professional, and expert. He had everything he needed on his service vehicle, diagnosed the problem quickly, and fixed it completely. I was completely satisfied with the service, delighted to save time and money. and happy to be in my own home while the work was done in my driveway instead of having to trek all the way out to the dealership.
Description of Work: We had a serious problem getting the car key for our 2004 Honda Odyssey into the ignition and then turning it to start up the engine. The key would simply not turn. Sometimes wiggling the key, removing it ever-so-slightly, or putting the key in and taking it out over and over again would engage the lock tumblers and work, but it was aggravating to spend 10 minutes in one parking lot after another trying to start up the car. This is apparently a well-known issue for Odysseys of this time period. The issue steadily deteriorated to the point where we avoided using the car. The local dealership wanted $500+ to fix the problem, plus we had to take the vehicle to the dealership. We opted to call Pop-A-Lock based on the positive reviews in Angie's List. The mobile locksmith came to our house, worked on the ignition lock while the Odyssey was parked in our own driveway, and completely rebuilt the lock. It now works smoothly and effortlessly once again.

+ -1 moreQuite simply, they opened my locked car AND made a new spare key for me. They also recorded the key grooves so I can order another key any time without them having to come out. They could have also provided a key with a chip to start the truck, but that costs quite a bit to have a chip added so I opted out. They assured me that should I lose the original key, they can get me a key with a chip pretty quickly though so I am glad to have that back-up!
Description of Work: When I accidentally locked my keys in our truck AND discovered we didn't have a spare key, I went to Angie's list and Pop a Lock had some of the best reviews. And rightly so, even for a Sunday (Father's Day no less) they were at our house in under an hour after calling and 30 minutes after that the truck was open AND I had a new spare key all for $70.

He told me that (based on my description of the problem) he thought that he could help me over the phone and save me the cost of a service call. Based on my description of the problem, he had me try several things, and after several tries, his advice worked, and I was able to free the latch and open the door. I was very impressed at his willingness to help even though he thought that no service call would be needed. He was very knowledgeable and helpful.
Description of Work: Realized that a service call was not needed to solve my problem and then provided assistance and advice over the phone that allowed me to fix a broken door handle and latch at my home.

+ -1 moreI am an employee of AL and can sometimes be hard to please and very particular. I called the main contact number on AL because PopALock is A-rated and had a 5% off coupon. Mark immediately answered the phone and was friendly and professional. Craig was dispatched and responded quickly. He was knowledgable, courteous, an all-around good guy... He experienced a teeny bit of difficulty because the lock sometimes sticks, but his methods to unlock the car were very effective, because he popped the lock in a little under 5minutes!! He kept a positive attitude, which was really appreciated given the situation. He explained other services that PopALock performs, so I will definitely keep their number stored in my phone for future use and many purposes!

The previous owners gave us only ONE key at closing which we managed to leave on the kitchen counter when we left the next morning to grab another load at our old house. Thank goodness for the Angie's List smartphone app- I called Pop A Lock and the guy arrived just as we were pulling back into the driveway after running some errands while we waited for him. Apparently we have a special "safety" kind of door handle on all the house doors- even if it is locked it will still open from the inside. Neither my husband or I remembered locking the door, but it had been open all day for the move! The locksmith who came was friendly and professional and got the lock opened for us in a matter of minutes. We grabbed the key from inside and immediately went to make copies.
