Very well. Pointed out stains which may or may not come out. Tried to take extra care on trouble spots. Did a good job.

They stretched our carpet over a year ago and it still looks great. They did an excellent job like they always do!

They are always prompt and have exceeded my expectations every time.

John was the team leader. They were on time and went out of their way to clean all spots.

We will use this company again, however, we were disappointed that, after the appointment window came and went, we received no phone call. About 15 minutes after the window, we called and were told it would be within the next hour and it turned out to be a little longer. So, the actual start time was about 1 1/2 hours late. Not the end of the world, but we would have adjusted the rest of our schedule if we had been called. The workers were very professional, friendly and courteous. The work done was excellent. We recommend that you call them halfway through your appointment window, if the time is important to you.

The tech called to let us know he would be late; but he was able to arrive about the time that had originally been set up. He went over the estimate that had been discussed over the phone as well as the problem traffic areas. He helped us in the process to be used for regular cleaning/versus deep cleaning as well as deciding whether we should have deordorizing or scotchguarding as part of the estimate; we chose scotchguarding since we do not have pets. We had moved small items--chairs, small tables, lamps, etc.-- and completed the cleaning prep work prior to his arrival; therefore, he was able complete the work in 1 1/2 hours. Before he left, he gave us an estimate for cleaning our steps and basement which we plan to have done in early fall. He was extremely polite and helpful to us in making our decisions. The carpet looks great! We will have them return again in the future.

This is the third time I have had PHD out to clean carpets. They are wonderful at getting stains out and cleaned the stairs to look like new. I appreciate that they don't move all the furniture but are able to get the main areas cleaned up and looking great.

A tech came to the house to give me an estimate (versus trying to estimate over the phone). He worked with me and the coupons I had to find me the best deal and explained their cleaning process. He explained about the science of carpet cleaning and why some are better than others (I ask lots of questions). He was patient with my questions and never made me feel stupid. When I called to schedule the cleaning, the rep worked with me to find a spot that fit our crazy schedules (and gladly moved that appointment when I called back a week later to reschedule). The tech that did the cleaning was the same one who did the estimate which was nice because he remembered our initial discussion. The two techs were very prompt and thorough. They cleaned 4 bedrooms, a hallway, the great room, office, dining room, and 14 steps in about 3 hours. They even cleaned the back of each step (the vertical part where your toes hit). They were also flexible. In the original estimate, he included the den which I had forgotten about and didn't pick up the toys so he cleaned my walk in closet instead for the same price. My only complaint is that the carpet took longer to dry than he predicted (about 10 hrs instead of 6-8), but that's a minor nuisance. Will definitely use PHD again.

Overall the job went very well. Called office, explained what I wanted. Received a price quote and made an appointment. Day of appointment tech called to advise me he was going to be about 30 minutes late due to previous job. Not a problem, I appreciate he called and let me know. Upon arrival inspected the job and laid out the work. Cleaned & treated all areas as agreed in a timely manner.

Fabulous! So glad we used Angies List to find our contractor. They worked with me on dates, very professional on phone. John, the main carpet guy, was wonderful and our house looks like a new one again! Two guys worked very hard for 4 hours straight. They used lots of elbow grease and attention to details to get all to look new. Ashaned to admit had not had professional cleaning since we moved in 8 years ago. Had motor oil tracks through house that I have tried eveything on... gone in an instant! All three recliners looked dingy, now like new. One is 20 years old! John is a consummate professional carpet guy. First rate.

Good. Showed up early completed work quickly. Only bad thing was asking for evaluation on spot. Felt uncomfortable ranking service with technician observing me complete survey form.

I called them because my friend had used them for a rental. He said I would never believe what they could do. He was right! The price was more than fair and the job was priceless!

My husband and I are were moving into a new rental home and the living room badly needed a pet/deodorizing treatment because it has the smell of wet dog in that room. After careful review on Angie's List I chose PHD, Inc. because I wanted to make sure whomever came to the house did the job to my satisfaction and PHD, Inc. has a reputation for going above and beyond. Curtis was sent out to my rental house and I was beyond please with his attitude and attention to detail. I sat on my back porch while he cleaned the carpets and when he was finished there was absolutely no lingering "wet dog" smell - only the smell of freshly cleaned carpet. He also raked the high pile carpet in the living room before he left, which I thought was a nice touch. It took him about an hour to do all the carpets in the house. It has been two weeks since the carpets were cleaned and we have had company over and no one can smell "wet dog." I will use PHD to clean my carpets again in the future. I am very pleased and, trust me, I am picky!

Overall, I had a good interaction with this company. I would use them again. They did stain and spot removal, as well as pet stain removal. They did offer to come back if the stains had come back right away. The pet stains came back about a month later. I chose not to call back.

First, I attempted to submit online a request for an estimate, but I received no response. Two days later I called the company, at which time a young woman politely and carefully recorded my contact information and scheduled a date for an estimate. The owner arrived on the scheduled day at the scheduled time to quote an estimate. He walked with me through the entire house, asking me questions about which areas to clean, arrangements for moving furniture, and particularly noticeable and problematic stains (including old paint). After our walk-through, he returned to the areas to measure and calculate surface area for the estimate. Additionally, he took time to test a product on the paint stains in order to estimate success of removing the stains. After he had all numbers in hand, he carefully and thoroughly explained his calculations and pricing. He assured me that he would not charge for stains he could not remove. He also quoted a Scotchguard application for me to consider. When I was satisfied with the estimate, we scheduled a day and time for technicians to complete the work. The technicians arrived on the scheduled day within 30 minutes of the scheduled time. They were courteous in their greeting and professional in appearance and demeanor. The lead technician asked me to accompany him on a walk-through to verify all elements of the estimate. Upon verifying the estimate, the technicians set to work. They were methodical, careful, and thorough in their various activities. Occasionally, the lead technician would update me progress. They spent a remarkable amount of time trying to remove the paint stains from the stairs. And while they were able to remove some stains, they were unable to remove completely the old, set paint. When they completed all areas for which they had estimated pricing, the lead technician lead me on another walk-through. The quality of the cleaning is extraordinary! They removed several dark stains for which I had abandoned hope of removal. They meticulously and carefully worked around heavy furniture, so that the continuity of the clean carpet was not lost against the unmoved furniture (i.e., no lines or borders). I was especially thrilled with the cleanliness of the carpet against the baseboard: again, no lines, borders or residue on the carpet or the baseboard. They "went the extra mile" to remove a couple of stains not previously included in the original estimate in order to optimize the overall cleanliness of the carpet throughout the house. The lead technician showed me the paint stains he was unable to remove, and then showed me how he would adjust the final billing, so that I would not pay for stains he could not remove. Being thoroughly satisfied with the results of the cleaning, I authorized application of the Scotchguard treatment. When they completed all work, the carpet--which we had not cleaned since occupying the house in December of 2006--was immaculate and ready for showing off to our friends and family. Before leaving, the lead technician reviewed the estimate and the final billing with me, item by item. I had no reservations paying the final price, as I knew I was paying for excellent work and professionalism. We are truly delighted with the quality of the personnel and results of PHD. In fact, we have a new rule: NO ONE walks on the carpet with shoes! We want to retain the beauty of the carpet for as long as possible. And we have already recommended PHD to our family and friends. Called and left a message and received a very fast response. I tool the whole house deal over the phone and they scheduled quickly. The serviceman was on time and did a fabulous job on my 8 year old carpets. My only regret was not having Jim price it on site. I think I may have paid more than I could have. However, I also did not ask for him to confirm if the pricing was my best deal. Overall, excellent professional. I will use them again.

They did a great job and it went very quickly. They were in and out within 45 minutes and it looks fabulous. They showed up on time, were courteous and knew what they were doing, which was a comfort.
