They wear shoe protectors before they come in your house, which is nice. They seem like they are doing a very thorough job. They do a good job of explaining what they are doing.

They always do a good job and they don't try to sell me things I don't t need on my older unit. Their pricing on the air conditioning was reasonable. The only slight question I have is that they told me the unit had a lifetime warranty. When they later tried to sell me a service contract, they were much less sure about the warranty. Overall, they are so far the best heating and a/c company I have dealt with, and I have dealt with three others while in this house. Now I don't hesitate to just call them.

I called for an estimate after my AC unit went out. Chad came out and was very knowledgeable and helpful with selection the best replacement unit. They were happy to come install the new unit the following day (Saturday) and showed up right on time as promised. Everyone was very professional and the job was completed in very timely fashion. A couple weeks later a noticed some water underneath the air handler and call the service department. Ryan was out that afternoon and determined the problem and remedied in a few moments. Even though the issue wasn't their fault, he didn't charge me for the service call and did a quality inspection on the new unit to make sure that everything was functioning perfectly.
Description of Work: Purchased new AC / Heat Pump and had installed. Follow up service call a couple weeks later for water under the unit that turned out to be unrelated.

After having our furnace turned off in the dead of winter by another company doing the routine inspection, and being told the heat exchanger was still under warranty, but the cost to replace would justify a new furnace, I was looking for someone to give me an estimate on a new Furnace or reasonably replace my warrantied Heat exchanger. We had estimated from $1200-3000 for this work. Derek from Peterman came out and said our furnace was in great shape and he could replace heat exchanger under warranty for $500. I had him throw in the ignitor that was identified as worn by the other company, and we agreed to the full scope of work at $600. The job was done 2 days later, on time and only took 2-3 hours. As I had anticipated, this was not an all day job and I was hesitant to pay someone over $1000 to do it. Peterman was great! Saved me a lot of money and we are up and running again with a furnace that should last several more years.

When getting our bids, we worked with Derek, a sales and service manager. He was efficient during his assessment of our home and HVAC system, offered good advise for product selection, and responded quickly to the numerous questions fielded by myself. Compared to the competing companies, he was more knowledgeable of local gas and electric company rebates. Most importantly, he listened to what we wanted before offering product and service choices, and he was open to negotiation. Some of the competing companies were pushing particular products and systems. I was very impressed with the father and son installation team, and would gladly have them back for any additional work. They kept me informed, and they were receptive to me asking questions and watching their work. All of the work areas were cleaned at the completion of their work. Peterman Heating and Cooling followed up the installation a short time later to ensure our satisfaction and to answer any questions. I am extremely satisfied with the equipment, installation and the staff.
Description of Work: We had the old A/C, humidifier and furnace removed, and replaced with Bryant A/C, furnace and Nest thermostat. They repaired faulty duct work, and installed an interface for generator supplied power.

My initial contact was with Chad Peterman, a very professional, agreeable, polite man. He indicated that before he could estimate the job, his grandfather, Stanley, would have to come out and determine the cost of the electrical portion of the job. Stanley, too, was a very nice man. The installation was "scheduled" for the end of the week, but when I called to find out what time they would be arriving, nobody seemed to know anything about it. So it was re-scheduled for the following Thursday. On Tuesday, Ashley called to say they would come on Friday instead of Thursday. Friday morning, John and Larry arrived. I showed them what they asked to be shown. I told them my wheaten terrier, Boris, barked a lot, but he would not hurt them. I told them that until he got used to them being here, he would chase them, barking, when they came in and went out, but that he would not hurt them, and eventually he would tire of that game. After about twenty ins and outs by both John and Larry, and those same twenty times of Boris chasing them, Larry went out again. My cleaning lady and I were talking in the entryway when Larry went to the back door. Suddenly, Larry shouted and KICKED Boris! My cleaning lady and I were speechless! Larry came back in with John, and I asked him if he had a problem with my dog. He claimed Boris "growled at him and nipped at his feet." I told him that Boris neither growled nor nipped, and he had never growled or nipped in his life. He just walked away. I had to spend the rest of the day (from11:00 or so until 4:10) with my dog cordoned off in a room with a door so that my dog wasn't again subjected to this monster called Larry! It is MY house. I live in it. My dog lives in it! But we were sequestered! What is wrong with this picture? When I paid for the services, John apologized, but Larry was nowhere to be found. John was suitably apologetic and seemingly upset. He said he was "responsible" for Larry, and I told him he didn't control Larry's foot or his mouth or his attitude. He said he feels responsible. I assured him I had NO problem with HIM, but I never wanted Larry to come to my house again. He made some noises about the behavior costing Larry his job, but I felt that it was just "talk.". I called to speak to his supervisor. Ashley said he was on another line, but he'd call me back. He called me back, and he had already spoken to John after Ashley told him I had called and wanted to discuss with him the behavior of one of his crew. The supervisor, whose name I didn't register, quickly told me he'd have to get Larry's side of the story (understandably), but made sure I understood that Larry was "a good kid,"who "had only worked there for seven months," but "everybody liked him,"and he is "a good worker." He then said, apparently thinking I am very stupid, that "everybody has different ideas of dog behavior,and they react accordingly." (DUH!) I told the supervisor that I did not want anything terrible to happen to Larry as a result of his reprehensible behavior, but I thought if Larry is afraid of dogs, perhaps he should not be allowed to work In homes where dogs live. Or perhaps the company should scrutinize potential customers and refuse to work for them if they have dogs. Supervisor thought that was a good suggestion! My exchange with the supervisor made me feel like I was the perpetrator, and Larry was the victim! Supervisor needs some lessons in customer service. The work was good, but I'll NEVER use their services again.

If our employee felt threatened by your animal, he should have come to you and politely asked you if you could put the dog up while he was working. In regard to you feeling "cordoned off" and "sequestered" in your home, I again apologize. We as a company need to make sure we relay to our customers to put up their pets or send employees that do not have an issue with animals. I apologize for not going over this with our employees before they arrived at your house and sending someone that had an issue with dogs. It is not our intention to make you or your pet uncomfortable while we are there working. Regardless of our employee’s feelings, he should have spoken with you after the incident to explain himself rather than walking off. He should have apologized to you and worked out the situation. You can expect a personal letter from our employee apologizing for this particular incident. In regard to your conversation with our installation manager and your comments, “apparently thinking I am very stupid,” I again sincerely apologize. After my conversation with him, he was in no way assuming that you were incompetent or trying to demean you in any way. We will have to do a better job of making sure we do not send this particular employee out to jobs where he may encounter a situation he is uncomfortable. We will also do a better job of screen potential customers to see if they might be willing to put their pets up for the duration of the project or make other arrangements, so that situations like this do not happen in the future. I respect your opinion to not use our services again. I am happy to see you were extremely pleased with the price, quality, and responsiveness of our company. Again, I apologize for this situation and hope that your dog is okay. We try to get better as a company as a result of this situation and ultimately, appreciate your feedback. Essentially, fine. Office manager seemed over-organized. First inquiry, I was told to "find it on the Internet." Office mgr rescheduled service visit twice for sort of legitimate reasons. She committed to a lower price point and service tech was good communicator and efficient.

We called on Sunday morning, the technician called back within 20 minutes. He arranged a time to come out on afternoon. He called to say he was on his way. He was pleasant when he arrived. The technician diagnosed the problem in about 20 minutes. He checked his truck for parts, he only had on part.

Of four, the Peterman estimate was the best and the guy who took it was very professional. Everything went in as promised with no problems or issues. Workmen were focused and clearly competent. We asked they wait until later to clear the air ducts and when we called back several months later, they came right out and did that part of the job just as professionally. We could not be happier and strongly recommend them!
