The star is for the technician being very professional. We has a new AC unit installed 08/30/23 and the compressor already went out on 07/02/24, and we have to wait 2 weeks to get a replacement in 80-100 degree weather and no air condition with 2 dogs in the house. First it was 9 days now nor it is 14 days for the part .The unit could not be replaced or a compressor taken from another unit

Hello [Member Name Removed]! We understand the frustration of having to wait for a part to come in. We have reached out to the manufacturer to get this part ordered for you ASAP. We have given you a window unit in the meantime to try and deal with these rising temperatures. We strive to give that 5-star experience in any way possible. We are trying our best to get this part to you. As soon as it arrives, we will give you a call to get this scheduled and get your system up and running.

We paid more than $800 to have our drain line "fixed" by peterman. Their work caused our outdoor plumbing to fail, and their only solution is to charge us $4,000 to replumb the house. The tech cut a pipe and left it draining into our trash can and NEVER RETURNED. Now the pipe is leaking all into our walls in the basement and all over the floor. We haven't been able to use our kitchen sinks in a week and haven't heard anything from Peterman about making this right. AVOID using this company.
Description of Work: We had a gurgling kitchen sink at first, now we have no sinks thanks to Peterman!

Installed new HVAC unit for 14k. The unit went out 3 days later. In the 2 weeks since they have "fixed" it 3 times and then yet again it went out again today. One fixer left and 30 minutes later the unit went out again. We called Peterman and they said they would send someone within 48 hours--huh? The person who just left "was on another job" and it is not their policy to send that person back.... Very unusual customer service for sure. But the install and repair folks have proven quite unreliable, multiple time.

*company does not honor their promises* I hired this company to do a full home rewire on my home. I passed on a much cheaper offer, because I wanted the best service I could find by going with Peterman Brothers. The initial estimate was that the job would take four days to complete, then it ended up taking almost a month. I was told a few small holes may need to be cut to run wire, then it turned into every room having several holes and very large sections of walls and ceilings being torn out. Their technicians left feces and snot covered toilet paper in my bathroom. They kept leaving my doors and windows open, in the middle of winter, even after I complained to their customer service about it. A scrapper in the neighborhood saw my door was left open and walked into my home, seeing all of the expensive items in my home and asking the technicians for scrap. Huge safety issue for me, now that the scrapper knows I have stuff worth stealing in my home. The customer service manager guaranteed they would send out a cleaning company and repair crew to clean my home and repair all the walls and ceilings. Now, I just got a call from someone else in the company that said they're backing out of that promise, and won't be following through with their promise to repair my home. From start to finish, using this company has been one headache and issue after another. The only solace I've had this whole time was their promise to repair my home, and now they're saying they know the promise was made but they won't be honoring it anymore. Steer clear of this company, and hire someone else for much less. At least hire someone else for a far cheaper price. That way all the poor service and broken promises won't sting as much. Since you'll feel more like you got what you paid for. I'll be getting with a lawyer and seeking damages to my home and the upheaval in my life during this whole process.

My father was in the construction business. I grew up helping him build and remodel houses. I have plumbed entire houses from scratch. I was helping a friend gut and remodel his house and I thought the discharge line out to the sewer may be clogged. I did not have the appropriate tools to snake a 30'+ main sewer drain. I did a google search for plumbing companies in my area and I found Peterman Brother's. I reviewed their website and I found a coupon stating $83.00 for same-day service to unclog a drain; no service call fees; no dispatch fees; 100% customer satisfaction guarantee. I called Peterman brother's and requested the $83.00 same day service to unclog a drain. I told them the reason I wanted the service and I even asked if they had the appropriate length snake to clear the entire length of the pipe. There was absolutely no miscommunication regarding the service I requested. They looked at their schedule and told me they could not honor the "Same Day" service noted on their coupon. I told them the following day was fine and the appointment was scheduled. The following day, two technicians arrived and I explained the situation and confirmed they had the correct tools to snake the drain. They asked to see the line/area before removing any tools from the truck so they would know what they needed. I took them into the crawl space and showed them where the main drain clean-out was located. One of the techs unscrewed the cap from my main drain, looked inside, screwed the cap back on and told me it wasn't clogged. I was pleasantly surprised. While we were under the house we chatted about the house remodel and all the work that needed to be done. I pointed out a small drip in a drain line near where we sat and told them it was on my list to fix. The technician told me what Peterman would charge to make the repair and I laughed and I told him that's why I planned to fix it myself. All seemed good... until I received the bill. Peterman did not charge me the $83 to clean the drain because the drain was not clogged. Instead, they charged me $85.00 for a "diagnostic fee"! I called the company and asked for an explanation. They said the technician diagnosed a leaky drain pipe and presented a quote to perform the repair. Are you kidding? I told them I was the one who pointed out the leak and told the tech it was on my to-do list for ME to fix. The only service I requested was to have my drain snaked/unclogged. The office person I spoke with said it didn't matter. She said the tech performed a diagnosis then presented a quote to correct the problem. Therefore I must pay the diagnostic fee. I wasn't necessarily upset about the money because I would have gladly paid the $83.00 if my drain had been clogged. I told her I had no problem paying some amount, perhaps half, because the techs did come out even though they did not have to perform the work to clear the drain line. I told her I was most upset because they billed me for a service I never requested. In fact, the charge was $2.00 more than it would have been if the techs had spent significant time hauling equipment off the truck, down under the crawl space, snaking a nasty sewage line then cleaning up the tools and crawl space. We spoke for several minutes and I tried my best to make her understand how wrong it is to charge someone for something they never requested or wanted. Nothing I said made a bit of difference. When I hung up the phone with her I was understandably disappointed with their level of customer service and even a bit angry at their business practices. But, after stewing for a few days I decided this was not a battle I wanted to fight so I decided to forgot about it and move on, knowing I would never do business with them again. Then, a couple weeks later, I received a follow-up call from a Peterman Brother's Customer Experience Representative. HE CALLED ME and began asking questions about my experience with the service I received. I explained what happened and I told him how I felt about being charged for a service I did not request. Instead of listening to me and trying to understanding my point of view, he cut me off and began arguing with me. He repeatedly stated the diagnostic service was performed therefore I must pay. The conversation evolved into a shouting match until he finally said "It doesn't matter, you're not getting your $85.00 back!". A bit surprised I replied "I never asked you to give it back" to which he replied "then what are we doing here?" I'm thinking - Is this guy for real? I said "You tell me! I didn't call you, you called me. You asked about my experience then when I start talking and explaining my thoughts, you cut me off, argue with me and won't let me speak!". He replied "Oh, sorry". and he hung up. WOW!! Did that really just happen? As a result of this phone call I decided I would not let this go. I contacted my credit card company and I disputed the charges on the grounds they Peterman Brother's billed me for a service I never requested. They did no work for me since the drain I called them to fix was not clogged. They advertise "no service call fee and no dispatch fee". Therefore: no work performed + no service call fee + no dispatch fee = no charge. They simply cannot decide to charge a fee for something that was never requested. Do not use this company! You will be sorry if you do. The fact that their customer experience representative reached out to me to ask about my experience then yelled and argued with me, then told me I would not get my money back (when I never requested or even suggested a refund) and have absolutely no people skills, should be all you need to know about the caliber of employee they hire and the type of training they receive. Follow up: During the credit card dispute process, Peterman Brother's provided fabricated documentation to the CC company. The first of two pages contained a description of the service rendered. The second page contained a scribbled signature. The intent was to show a signature consenting to the services rendered. They said I signed this document. The CC company sent the document to me for review. I read the document, examined the signature (scribble) then replied back to the CC company. I told them I was never presented with the document, I have never seen the document and I never signed the document. I accused the company of illegally creating false documentation and fraud. The Credit card company reviewed my response, completed their investigation and refunded my money. They said unfortunately there was nothing they could do regarding Peterman Brother's illegal activity and referred me to the Consumer Protection Agency and the Better Business Bureau. The case is closed with the CC company and I received my refund. However, I intend to notify both agencies of Peterman Brother's fraudulent practices and pursue legal action if possible. No company should be allowed to create fraudulent documentation and expect to get away with it!

*Skip to the bottom for the short version* (Copy and pasted from my Google review) I called this company out to inspect the line as to why I was having issues with my toilet gurgling. Two plumbers came out, one supervisor and one apprentice. They found that the trap pipe to the sewer outlet from the house was not glued down and one of the bushes near the the pipe had put it's root system into it. They cleared some of the roots, and some broke off and went toward the sewer. They ran a snake for both sides and thought the line looked clear, and I paid $159.00 for the drain clearing and to fix the pipe. Which is a fair price I think. They then called out a camera person to come and inspect the line. Everything up to this point was acceptable. The camera technician came out and inspected the line. It appeared that the roots that broke off from the bush had stopped just short of the sewer line. Water was accumulating behind this blockage and water was slowly draining. She stated this was a belly or sagging in the pipe and that it would need to be dug up to correct the issue. She also stated that Hydro Jetting the blockage may fix the issue ($1,400.00 charge), but due to the sagging in the pipe it would to be dug up. She was able to quote me how much I would pay a month for 15 years, but was unable to tell me exactly how much the job would be while I was standing there. When I received the quote it was approximately $10k (which is fair for the work that she wanted to do). I told her I was going to get a second opinion, and she proceeded to explain to me that everyone else will say the same thing and it would cost the same. She made no attempt to try and get the blockage cleared by her company. I called two companies after she left and scheduled them for the next day. The next day I had a different company come out and cleared the line for $93 with a snake without difficulties. They inspected the line and found no sagging, belly or standing water in the pipe. The other company also inspected the pipe and found no sagging or belly. This company's has reached back out to me and it was to talk about the quote i was given. When I expressed to them I had the issue taken care of for $93 dollars they had a customer service rep reach out to me. The customer service rep was very polite and understanding of why I was frustrated with the company. They also stated that the issue would be resolved within through additional education. Which I feel is the correct approach. Unfortunately, from my personal experience, I am unlikely to use these services again. *Short Version* If you have time get a second opinion. It could save you thousands of dollars. Attempting to get me to sign up for $10k worth of work when it only required a $93 dollars to clear the line is a little unethical. Also, I found out that the camera techs are not always plumbers and they do not always have plumbing experience. They work in sales, and it sounds like this is becoming an industry standard. Not really a problem as long as the camera tech is honest, but this can become problematic quickly.

October 21' our condensation line backed up causing water damage, it was one of the last times we used A/C for the year. Peterman tech came out to unclog and make any repairs needed. We paid out of our pocket to repairs all damages to our home and unit. They recommended one piece in our heat pump be replaced and they said our system was running good for it's age. Fast forward to May 22' first time we turn the A/C on for the year, everything backs up again and more water damage than back in October. When I first called that Thursday morning they said no one could come out until Monday, I called several times asking to speak to higher up. I finally spoke to a customer service rep that could have someone out that day. Friday at 5:30pm our case has officially been escalated to customer retention. They had management that Monday to assess the situation and identify were the ball was dropped. They took full responsibility and their insurance covered all damages. Once I had vendors and their insurance squared away to pay the $11,500 in damages, I requested that Peterman Brothers send out a tech for full maintenance on the system so we can assure everything is properly working and avoid this issue. The tech proceeded to tell us we had $7k in repairs to be running at 80% and recommended a Comfort Advisor quote a new system (6 months ago mind you, our system was good to go) for $12k with a discount for the lack of experience we have had. I decided to get a second opinion, the competitor shared everything came back right in the middle for his readings and he saw no signs that would suggest a new unit as the home was being properly cooled. I reached back out to our contact to share the feedback and to cancel our membership as it was obvious they were not providing honest servicing. She shared she would refund the monthly fee that was charged just one day prior and send a $50 giftcard for our inconveniences; it's been a month since I spoke with the company and have yet to be credited our monthly fee or the giftcard that was offered. I would never recommend this company to anyone and will be sharing our experience when I can. It truly was a nightmare of an experience that my husband and I were driving the ship on the entire time to receive the low standard that we did get.

UPDATE: You guys keep claiming that you “aren’t foundational experts “. It doesn’t take a foundational expert to see that something is collapsing and use wisdom to tell your customer about it before installing heavy objects on it that will collapse a floor ! Not once ! Not once ! Did you offer to come out and even check how bad the floor was sinking in when I called to complain about this issue . Not a single time . You clearly don’t care about your clients . Then when I called you out on your shady business dealings . I ( a paying customer who is paying almost $10,000 ) was blocked by you guys on social media ! That’s how you do business ?! Shameful ! This company is ran by conmen who have the nerve to do motivational speaking seminars about “integrity “😂 . When they are morally bankrupt and have zero integrity whatsoever lol (Original Review ): DON'T GO WITH THEM. YOU WILL REGRET IT. AND IF YOU DO , MAKE SURE BEFORE HAND THAT YOUR FLOOR IS STABLE. BECAUSE THEY DO NOT CARE AND WILL INSTALL RIGHT OVER IT, AND THEN YOUR FLOOR WILL COLLAPSE . I reached out to peterman brothers to get a new AC and Furnace installed. They were running a promo for buy a AC unit, get a free furnace .The sales rep came out , Inspected everything , Closed me and my wife on the sale. And booked the work for the next day. (Awful quick, In the state of Indiana, you have 3 days to back out of a contract. I almost wonder if them booking you the next day is to lock that in?! ) Several technicians came out to do the work. My floor in my utility room before seemed to be slanting somewhat downwards, They installed the units. And after they did my floor completely sunk in, In my utility room and in my bathroom next to it. I had several contractors come out to quote the work. They all told me that the floor sinking in was starting to occur somewhat prior to peterman installing the units, And that there is no way that peterman did not notice or see the floor sinking in when they removed the existing units. Peterman installing the units made the floor sink in even further. And now I have foundation issues. They saw the floor was sinking in , Wanted a quick sale. And decided to install it anyways. I was also promised vent cleaning services with the install, never happened. Two of my rooms do not get the full heat and cooling that the others room do. They are quick to book the install to lock you into the project, But then when I asked about vent cleaning, I was told they are suddenly months away from that . Which is a service I need done ! I made several attempts to reach out to them to resolve the issue. Often going days without contact back while trying to juggle multiple contractor quotes. They reached out to me today 5/2/2022. And basically said they aren't liable. MY FLOOR IS SINKING IN. Even in the manufacturer booklets (THAT THEY GAVE ME ) it talks about how the areas around the foundation need to be examined for sturdiness etc. Before install. None of that was done. They dont want to do anything to fix the problem. Its plain common sense . You dont put a furnace on a floor that can fall through. You let your customer know! That doesnt take a foundational expert to figure that out ! Horrible company. I will never go with them ever again for anything.

Installers were professional and did what they were to do. After they finished, they tested the system and said it was good to go. As per normal, they were done and left. About an hour later the furnace would not fire up again so we called immediately to report the issue. And about 4 hours later a tech comes. He seemed that he found the issue from what the code was giving. Got it to fire up again. However, did not stick around long enough to let it run a whole cycle. No longer than having him be driving down the street, the furnace stopped working again dropping a different code. At this point I am not too upset because I understand there will be human error in a whole system install. We call again and are told that a tech can't come back until 2 days later. That is what was disappointing. Something to note, the install was on a Friday. My comment is: A company should not do installs if they cannot support the customer for the next 48 hours to make sure the system gets up and running on its own no matter how many times they need to come back and make it right. Perhaps Peterman Brothers need to have a no install on Friday rule so that there can be adequate customer service when there installers install a system wrong. Extremely disappointed and will not use Peterman Brothers again for sure. My house is cold which makes it even harder to deal with. I paid the full $10,000 up front to have this kind of service? They need to re-think their priority levels on who gets serviced first.

Their prices are astronomical! They also charged an 85$ fee just for the privilege of hearing how astronomical their prices are! My wife, who made the appointment, was under the impression that they were going to diagnose what was wrong with our slow drain for 85$, but no. They also want to charge $400 to install a toilet that WE provide! It takes less than an hour to install a toilet, so their price per hour is roughly $400! I would not recommend letting these people in your home. They must charge people for quotes because they know how few will follow through after hearing their absurd prices!

Service and responsiveness was great. The issue was the price. They charged well over what I paid for the water softener itself just to install it. Total charges came to well over $500 and that was after I (rather forcibly) asked for a reduction in price because I felt the initial estimate was outrageous. For them to charge what they did for a simple water softener installation when there was already a rough in and connections to the home available was totally unacceptable. The technician was fine enough to work with and professional, I give him credit for that. But I do not recommend using them based simply on the price for services performed.
