Called promptly to schedule an appointment. Arrived on time, diagnosed the problem, and had it quickly fixed. This was the third plumber to look at the leak. I feel confident that it has been repaired correctly this time.

I had been dealing with an issue with low water pressure in one shower since I bought my house 4 years ago. I have had 3 different plumbers come out to take a look at it and they all said there was nothing that they could do. Chuck from Peterman actually took the time to check things out and recommend some options. The first option was to replace the valve for the shower as it appeared there was an issue with the hot water part of the valve. When disassembled, some debris was found in the line after removing that and installing the new valve, it works considerably better.

It went fine. I used them a few weeks after I purchased the deal and they didn't charge me anything extra. They cleaned out the heat pump and did a furnace check to make sure everything was working correctly.

My furnace wasn't working right so I called for a repair. The repairman arrived on time and even called when he was on his way. After inspecting my furnace, he recommended that I get a new one and showed (not just told) me why. I decided to purchase a new one and a new AC unit as well since both were 15 years old. The salesman called before the repairman had even left the house and set up an appointment for the next day to give me an estimate. Bob was great! He took his time and explained all of the options, even so far as to the rebates available from the gas and electric companies and tax credit. Their prices were not the cheapest but not the most expensive either so I decided to purchase a new furnace and AC from them. That was Tuesday and the new units were installed on Friday. There were two installers, and they were here for about 8 hours. They worked quickly and quietly and were very polite. Bob checked in on them in the afternoon to see how everything was going. By about 4pm all was done and working well. They even left me a case of filters for the furnace and told me where I could buy them when I ran out. There were papers to be signed for the rebates and they had them all ready for me and their office took care of the rest. About a week later, Bob came by to make sure everything was working all right and to see if I had any questions. I would definitely recommend Peterman to anyone needing a new furnace or central air and will use them again as needed.

It went very well!!! I purchased the deal on 10/31 and they had finished the job around 1:00 the next afternoon!!! They were very prompt, punctual, and professional! I am very excited for my friend, as this is his first home and he was worried about this process to get moved in. This company made it a great experience for my friend and made me look great in the process too! I will be calling this company for my plumbing needs in the future, as will my friend! You did one job, but made two repeat customers! Great customer service!

Fantastic service experience. They were able to fit me into their schedule the day after I purchased the Big Deal. Drew came out and after hearing what the problems I was having were, examined the entire system and went in the crawl space where he took pictures of our drain system so he could explain the cause of sewer gas smell in the house. He was extremely friendly and professional. I've scheduled to have them come out next week and perform the repairs. Couldn't be happier with this experience!!!

We called the Peterman's back in March for an estimate on installing air conditioning into our historic home. However, we didn't make good on the estimate until July when we couldn't stand the heat anymore. They were able to install the unit four days after I called to request the service. Their technicians showed up on time. It took most of the day to install the unit, but they only rested for one short lunch break. The service came with a 10 year parts and 1 year labor warranty. And the Peterman's were over $1,000 cheaper than two other A-listed Angie's List companies that I called for service.

Went well. Had to do the work over two days - inspect/diagnose day one, order parts and do the actual work day two - but the job was done to my satisfaction, the problem was solved and my tenants are very happy with having a nice blasting shower.

The compressor in our R22-based heat pump died in early May, and the estimated cost of replacing it pushed us to a new system. That and the fact that our previous heat pump was problematic at best. Just to set the table here: I am an engineer and jack of all trades, having built most of our house. I am very aesthetically and detail oriented. For example, we had Peterman replace the old fiberboard ducting with sheet metal, as I always thought the duct board installed by our previous contractor looked crappy. Also, I took a day off work so I could be there during the installation. I also tend to wait a little bit before reviewing folks' work, as I want to see if anything comes up after the work has been completed. Anyway, to the review... Estimate: Bob did a great job with the estimate and up front work. Of the HVAC contractors we had out to do estimates, Peterman was by far the most detailed. He measured the ductwork, took photos of the furnace layout for reference, and answered all of my technical questions in a non-BS manner. We had good discussion on air flow and duct size needs, as we were bumping up our system from a 1.5 ton to a 2 ton system. Most other contractors I talked to just glanced at our previous system, and did not adequately answer my questions. He was very key on getting the system right. Cost: Price-wise Peterman was a little more than some other estimates, but not significantly. I always put quality ahead of cost. Installation: In general, the install went well. The heat pump, air handler and ducting were all set in a day. The positives: (1) They made sure the heat pump was sitting square on the concrete pad outside. (2) They brought up a potential problem with accessing the outdoor disconnect switch before installing the heat pump, so I had time to figure out a fix for it. (3) On the furnace I suggested a cleaner method of routing the flexible conduit to the unit, and they happily obliged. (4) Very courteous, very professional, very tidy, willing to answer all of my questions. (5) No problem with me participating in the work; for example, I installed the new thermostat, modified the heat pump disconnect, etc. (6) They handled all warranty sign up, and processing of all rebates. The one negative: About a week after the installation, I was up in our attic and went to check out the flexible duct connections to the new sheet metal trunks. Unfortunately, the duct collars were all loosely attached...a few tabs bent over, no screws, no sealing. You could feel cold air blowing out around every collar. As with all contract work, the quality of the job is only as good as each and every person on the crew; in this case, I felt the crew did excellent work, with the exception of the guy who attached the collars to the trunks. To Peterman's credit, they apologized profusely and promptly scheduled they guys to come out and rectify the situation. They pulled every collar, fastened it properly, and sealed them with mastic. [Also worth noting that the same guy who first connected the ducts let a lot of blown-in insulation get into the flex duct...insulation that blew out into every room of the house when the system was first turned on. Not a big deal (fortunately we do not have fiberglass insulation!), just a little annoyance.] Reflecting back two months afterwards: In all, I would use them again. Good people to work with, who (with the exception of the guy who originally connected the ducts) seem genuinely focused on doing good work. Our new system can run circles around our old one; quite happy with its performance. If duct collar mishap, I would have given Peterman A's across the board.

When our 6 year old air conditioning system stopped working, we called Peterman Heating & Cooling. The serviceman was prompt and pleasant but was not familiar with our system. He spent over 3 hours evaluating the problem. While he couldn't tell us what caused the problem, he determined that repairs would be extensive and cost over $4100.00. We were told that a salesman would contact us in a few days as we may want to consider replacing the entire system. The salesman did call and come out to the house to assess our needs. While waiting for the estimate, we decided to get a 'second opinion.' We are very glad we did. Tom Shelburne from Shelburne Mechanical took only 30 minutes to determine our problem was failed capacitor. Total cost $ 169.00. After the salesman from Peterman's heard our story, he was apologetic. We received a refund very promptly. We hope to use this experience to emphasize the importance of getting a second opinion when you are not comfortable with an estimate, or don't fully understand a problem.

They arrived a few minutes early on the day of the install and were very knowledgeable, efficient and experienced. After the old furnace was removed, the ducts were cleaned. That is included in the price above. Also included was a one-year service contract. I watched all aspects of the installation. They answered all of my questions. They were very neat and cleaned up after themselves. I also received new duct work in the garage and they fashioned a new door to my furnace filter unit. The old one was easy to open and difficult to close. They did excellent work. I highly recommend them for any HVAC work and service.

Jeff was very professional and thorough. He explained what he thought we needed (increase in size) and suggested need for attic fan, to help with the temperature difference between first and second floor. His prices were in line with other quotes we got; difference was in manufacturers of systems. Estimate was around $8800, before rebates. We ultimately decided to go with another contractor. I feel confident we would have been happy if we had chosen Mid West.

Everyone I dealt with from the people I spoke with in the office, the man who provided the quote to Jimmy and Mario, the installers, were very friendly, professional and punctual. I hired them to install a new heat pump, air handler and thermostat system to replace the original system installed when the house was built. The installers arrived around 7:45am, got right to work and were finished around 2:00pm. They cleaned up after themselves very well so that you would never know they had been there. They took time to explain the system to me and answered all the questions I had. So far the new system is working great and I really like that they offer a 10 year warranty on both parts and labor. And they do all the warranty registration for you which is an added bonus.

We had an electrical fire in the furnace. Peterman Heating, Cooling, Plumbing came to the house and removed and replaced the furnace. Our home owners insurance had sent them to do the work. We was not in the house while the work was being completed.

Service tech did a thorough checkout of the air conditioning system inside and outside the house, advised on the current condition and operation of the unit, and offered suggestions and products for improving the operation and maintenance of the unit. We have used Peterman's for several years with complete satisfaction. They installed our current gas furnace and A/C when the previous unit required replacement.

Larry Austin was on time and did good job. Serviced AC and said we needed new capacitor. We have been using Peterman"s for many years and purchase service contract each year. They remaind us when it is time for service.
