They were quick, courteous, and the job was done correctly. The prices for the cables themselves was half the cost of other companies. I also received an AL discount.

Called business, left message and was called back within a couple of hours. Jeff and associate came to my home immediately and performed above work with professionalism and courtesy.

Jeff came out the day after I called him. He arrived right when he said he would. He diagnosed the problem as soon as he heard the garage door opener. As an added bonus, Jeff fixed our garage remotes and keyless entry so we didn't have to go and buy new ones! He did an excellent job!! He's fast and charges an honest price. Jeff is very professional and friendly!

Our garage doors are probably 50 + years old. The lower hinge on the left side of one of the two doors finally rusted out a few years ago. The local garage door company (company X) that I called could not supply a replacement hinge, however they did install a hinge that wasn't compatible with the right side hinge. As a result, while the door worked, didn't work properly. A company X representative came out a few more times and, when he couldn't actually fix the problem, finally concluded that I needed a new garage door (actually two doors, since I have a two bay garage). He did, however, move the track in which the rollers move out from the side of the garage. Because the hinges weren't compatibly, the cable on the right side hinge would occasionally slip off the winding drum. As a result, the door would malfunction and I would have to manually rewind the drum. In addition, the difference in pressure caused what I would call the winding rod to bend in the middle. A few years later I again contacted company x and they again sent a technician out. To correct the problem he move the track in which the rollers moved back. As a result, while the door worked a bit better, there was a gap between the door and the garage of approximately three to 3 1/2 inches. In addition, he replaced (for an additional charge) the winding rod. About six months ago BOTH of the lower hinges on the right side door rusted out and the door was completely inoperable. Because the hinge placement was the problem, I considered having replacement hinges fabricated. It certainly would have been less expensive than buying two new doors and having them installed. Amazingly, I saw Jeff's truck parked at a McDonald's. I took down his phone number and called him on the following Monday morning. He came out on Monday afternoon (the same day) and fixed BOTH doors. In addition, he suggested that my garage door opener for the left side door might only need a replacement battery. He was right. The door opener now works like it was new (and...he didn't charge me for the advice).

I have been using him for over 20 years and he is so nice. His prices are right and I highly recommend him. He always does a little extra if needed.

Arrived later than he'd estimated, but we had 4" of snow that morning. Nice guy, professional attitude. Kept me appraised as the work continued, even though he had to trudge through the snow each time to do so. Scrounged up batteries to replace the dead ones in the remote, and even shoveled snow away from the door with the broken cable, which I'd forgotten to do. Left everything clean. Very reasonably priced work.

They are outstanding. I would highly recommend them to anyone. He was very cordial and very helpful. He performed the work quickly and explained it thoroughly. He fixed the things that we weren't aware of and he adjusted the door at no cost.

Discovered the problem the day before a holiday. Sent Jeff an e-mail. He responded later that day that he would be working the day after the holiday. I called him that morning, he was out within 2 hrs. He looked at the door, went and got the strut, and had the job finished within an hour. We were also having trouble with our garage door transmitters, and Jeff knew what the problem was and corrected that at no extra charge. Excellent service all around!

I think they did a great job. They came within the window of time we gave. He was very friendly and very personable. He listened to our concerns and was very attentive.

If you have a problem with garage door, I would recommend Overhead Orthopedics without reservation. My garage door won't come up this morning. Joined Angie's List because I knew the repair season for this house was just beginning. Called the company at 10:00am and someone said he would be out between 12:00 and 1:00. He was here by 12:15 and within 45 minutes the garage door was working.

We called to schedule an appointment to have somebody to do an assessment and give us an estimate on repair or replacement of our garage door. We agreed on an appointment time of between 8:00 and 9:00 AM on Monday, October 6. I was home until noon on the 6th and nobody came by or called. We assumed they had forgotten or blown us off so we moved on to another company. During the day on Tuesday, October 7, Jeff from Overhead Orthopedics called and left a message on our home phone saying that he guessed he missed the appointment the previous day. Very disappointing customer service from a company we selected because of a good Angie's List rating.

One of the springs to our overhead door broke in the evening. We called Overhead Orthopedics the next morning and they were able to come the next day. They were able to replace the springs, adjust the door, and lubricate the moving parts so that the door was as good as new. He was very professional and provided advice on how to maintain the springs and moving parts so that they would last longer.

Jeff Mowery was fairly punctual [15 minutes late] kind, very patient, checked everything, was politely and respectfully responsive to all my queries and completed the work in a timely manner. He also was very respectful of my diversity, unlike some other business contractors in other fields. He also told me that his work had a 90 day guarantee. While I think a 1/2 hour job of tightening springs, applying WD40 and checking light bulbs was high at $64, he was by far the most economical in the business, gave me a valuable "pearl" of information and the piece of mind I gained was worth it to me. Additionally, he did not try to sell me unneeded services. Au contraire, he positively commended my old garage door, "at least 25 years old", "they don't make wooden garage doors this way anymore" he said. I concur, old is gold! Now for the "pearl" Mr. Mowery gave me, I had replaced the light bulbs that had burnt out with the new energy saving bulbs and they had not worked. Mr. Mowery told me that older garage door light sockets were deeper and would not make connection or take the shallow stem of the new Energy saving light bulbs, and to find myself some of the older 60 watt Light bulbs.

He showed up when he said he was going to. He did the work and was pleasant. He also said that I could call him if I had any problems. Overall, it was good.

Came within a few hours of my call, worked carefully, took his time and explained repair to me. Charges were fair.

Very well. He had to come back the next day because of a parts problem and was very prompt.

Called on a weeknight around dinner time; owner Jeff answered the phone and arrived at our house in about 1 hour. Immediately found the problem and fixed it; also did some needed door/track maintenance while there. Excellent, fast, friendly service!
