They responded very quickly to our call for service and were so nice and professional to deal with. This happened on a Friday afternoon (just before the weekend) and they made sure to set us up with all the information/resources we needed to get through the weekend. We had Amerestore come out first thing Monday morning to clean up the mess in the crawl space, and then the Mr. Plumber folks were here first thing Tuesday morning to complete the work. It was all finished by 3:30 the same day. Very nice, respectful employees!! They communicated well with us every step of the way.

Took one look at the toilet, said it was too old to be repaired. Performed zero work on the toilet. Just wrote me a quote for new toilets. After they left, I did a little internet research, found the problem was blockage of the holes under the toilet rim. Cleaned them out in about 5 minutes. Toilet now flushes like a new one. Called Mr Plumber and complained. Was promised a responsible per would call back. Weeks later, still no call.

I think they tried to do work for us that was not required, and tried to do extra work for extra money, with the service call. The employees who were sent out, felt was not impressed with their lack of professionalism.

They are highly over-priced with poor quality! Despite the fact that the guy charged me $577, yes $577!!!, to replace the main shut-off valve, it started to spray water all over the wall in less than 24 hours. They also charged me $1900 to replace the water heater, and they reduced the tank size from 50-gal to 40-gal. I am never going to hire them again. the $50 1-year contract was a bait to get me to hire them, but then they took me to cleaners! Mr. Plumber is a perfect example of a dishonest business! I had higher expectations from Angie's list for the businesses they endorse, now I no longer trust Angie's list either!

very responsive, they came out the same day. we have a maintenance contract with them. Again one week later had the same problem, and again they sent someone out the same day to look into it for us. Appreciate the customer service they provide. Of note we have used them for plumbing issues in the past and they are always this responsive.

They saved me over $4000 by telling me that I didn't need services I didn't need. They told me I needed to get a sump pump replaced because it was still under warranty. The company who was going to install it wanted to do all these other services that I didn't need. They put a lot of pressure on me. That's never a good sign. I decided to call Mister Plumbing instead. Steve Bettis of Mister Plumber ended up telling me that all I needed to do was add a new drain. He cleaned out the drain and installed a new one. The sump pump is clear and it didn't cost me a fortune! It was awesome that he saved me so much money!

The technician who gave us our estimate was very thorough and made sure we completely understood our situation and he seemed very relatable and honest. The work was done in a fair amount of time, and the work was very well cleaned up for the most part.

I had a warranty issue with them. I had a water heater that quit working. I got hold of the manufacturers to find out what part of the company provided warranty service. I was given their name but when they came to do he work, they charged me for it, around $200. They should have honored the warranty. I did finally resolve it but I had o call management. Even their followup was non existent, I just got a check in the mail. They never called me back to apologize or say I was getting a check, they just showed up. They didn't even take advantage of the goodwill to call me back.

He had a hard time getting it off, he put the new one on but found out it was warped on the corner. He suggested getting industrial glue and a clamp, which I had. I went and got it, he finished the job. They had already told me that because they had forgotten my appointment, they weren't going to charge me the full price. The bill was supposed to be about $1400 total, but the bill ended up being about $900. A few days later we removed the clamp, and the warped corner was fixed. We were pleased that they discounted the price and the outcome of the appointment.

We are out of town owners with the rental property with a sump pump whose pit keeps filling with silt. We needed same day service and called Mr. Plumber to get a fix for the problem. Tanya was very helpful knowing our circumstance. She scheduled a plumber who would give us 30 minutes notice. In the interim, we found the silt build up had finally destroyed the pump and that we had a garbage disposal with a broken housing. Tanya had said that the specific plumber that became available may or may not have a sump pump and/or garbage disposer on his truck so we got both. Larry arrived in the afternoon. We discussed the situation with him and asked for a solution to the silt problem. He inspected under the crawl space and gave us some suggestions. He installed the sump pump we got only to find it was faulty. He did have a sump pump on his truck which he installed. There were some complications that Larry took in stride. He installed both the garbage disposer and the sump pump and working late. We will certainly use Mr. Plumber in the future and ask for Larry. We are glad that we didn't shop around for price. They came out twice. They forgot about me, so they had to come out again about a week later. They did not finish installing a coupler on the hose. By that time I was tired of it, so I just let it go. They were prompt and the technician stood out. The bad was, forgetting me and not attending to my concerns about the shutoff valve.

We initially called Mr. Plumber because we were concerned about potential blockages in our very old (1920s) sewer line. We had had some minor backups and suspected that the line was blocked by roots. Rob came out with a scope and we were able to see the images and verify that we did have serious root damage to the sewer line. We got an estimate for the cleaning ($360), but it was also obvious that this would be a short-term solution and could potentially do further damage to the old pipe. Rob also provided an estimate for trenchless sewer line replacement ($4,500), which would allow them to replace a portion of damaged pipe below our foundation without excessive digging or displacement of our front porch. We decided to go with this option. They were able to start work right away, and Matt and his crew were prompt, communicative, and considerate. They kept things as tidy as possible and explained what they were doing at each step. The original estimate only covered replacing a section of original cast iron line, but after digging up the pipe, they discovered that the cast iron was too cracked to connect to the new PVC (this was visibly apparent), so we got another quote for replacing the entire line (an additional $4,100). Although we ended up with a very expensive repair, there is significant peace of mind in knowing that our entire sewer line is PVC and up to code. Given the amount of labor and engineering that goes into running a new pipe (in below-freezing January temperatures), we felt the cost was justified. The work took 5 full days to complete with 3+ workmen at the house.

For awhile, I'd been hearing a slight noise like the water was running at the meter, but the meter wasn't spinning. But it got a LOT louder on 12/27. Placed calls to a few people to see about repairs. Michael from Mr Plumber came out and looked at what was going on and then went to right up a quote, but he'd need to check if Carmel required me to move my meter. Unlike newer homes, my meter is located in the basement where the water line comes in through the wall. Once he got the information, he said that I would have to move the meter outside, and that it'd run me about $6300. Mike was very nice and friendly, he did not know the regulations about Carmel and meters! I got a quote from someone else who actually called Carmel, and I confirmed with Carmel myself directly also, that no, I did NOT need to move the meter from inside to outside. And i could actually get the entire repair done for $2000. Which is what I did. Mr Plumber might have done the work just fine if I'd called them back to tell them they didn't need to move the meter, but they should have known, or been able to confirm it properly. Update 1/4/2016: As part of Mr Plumber's visit, they sent a questionnaire, which I responded that they messed up the issue with the meter. Today Mike called me back to apologize for the mistake, that he should have verified that issue a bit more. I'm upping professionalism and overall values. These things do happen, but I respect that he called and apologized.

The toilet was indeed a tad loose. Plumber arrived 20+ minutes past his proposed arrival time frame. I told him the scope of the job and what was needed as a result of the home inspection and he went to work. The scientific method for determining if the toilet had leaks was to lay a few pieces of toilet paper around the base and flush the toilet multiple times. Upon finding no leaks, the "pro" decided all it needed was tightening and/or caulk because sometimes the toilet does not sit flush with the tile floor. The bolts were already as tight as they could reasonably go so he sloppily lined most of the base with clear caulk and was gone within about 20 minutes. His method for getting a smoothish bead was to take some toilet paper from the roll and casually wipe up the excess here and there and then flush the used paper. Since I needed this for the home inspection repair response I asked if the plumber could clearly write out specifically what services were performed... initially it just had chicken scratch without any comment about the evaluation for leaks at all. Per my request he reluctantly added no leaks found. This "professional" job cost over $200 (with an $80 off coupon might I add). I could've done a much better job, in a third of the time, at a 20th of the cost had I caught this myself prior to the home inspection. Overall a very expensive price for very low quality and poor service.

He wanted to sell me a lot of options and I told him I wanted to look at the plans and see if everything was okay. It turned out that the everything would have been fine, but before he left be broke the flange. He said if it wasn't broke before, it is now. He patched it up and said I was good to go. I felt like he sabatoged the whole deal. He wanted to use a jackhammer to break up the concrete and he'd already broken the flange so I didn't think it was worth while.

Terrible. I was without hot water for 4 days over Labor Day weekend. They originally stated they could fix heater, just needed to order a part. This was a Saturday and the parts store would be closed until the Tuesday after the holiday weekend. Tuesday arrives, plumber comes out late afternoon with part and now they could not fix it and I was told I needed to replace not only heater but water softener AND that my current long-standing service agreement with company was no longer any good and if I wanted special pricing and product warranty, I needed to upgrade contract for an additional 700 dollars. All this would cost me close to 5,000 dollars. I told them to install new heater, I would pass on new contract and that I wanted to call my longtime water softener company to get a quote on new softener, especially since I have been on a plan with them to deliver salt for 15 years. The tech begged me to not call my softener company, that he had horror stories he could tell me about them. I told him they had been in my home every other month for 15 years delivering salt and I had nothing but pleasant experiences with them. He basically said, "Okay, it's your funeral." Anyway, they replace water heater. My softener was replaced by my regular, famous water softener company at a $1,400 dollar SAVINGS than I was quoted by Metzler. Three weeks later, I again have no hot water. I call Metzler. They send out a tech. he looks at my brand new unit and asks who installed it. I point to the installation sticker with his employer's logo on it and say, "You guys did." He then tells me that one of the two wires coming from unit that attach to my house electrical are bad and I need to call an electrician. He then leaves. Unreal. I call a manger who promises to send another tech out. I am still without hot water. This company is all about price gouging and they now have such a high rate of turnover among their plumbers that the quality of work has plummeted. I will never call them again and no one else should either.

I looked in the Survival Guide provided by Angie's List as I am a member and i didn't have any water at my kitchen sink. I had no idea who to call. There was a coupon for Mr. Plumber for the $79.00 service fee with repair. My service was scheduled for after 4 on Friday 10/2. They called me at work at 2:30 and asked if I could get home earlier so i left work at 2:30 and hurried home to meet the plumber. He got there after 4. He was polite, reeked of cigarette smoke and didn't cover his boots with those shoe covers and I would have really appreciated that. He seemed very competent. He said he could try to repair my faucet for $206.00 but if I needed a new one it would be $560.00 or if I bought the faucet and he installed it the cost would be $443.00. Before he did anything he had me sign a work order for a three options. Also he kept going out to his truck. I believe he was calling the office for instruction on pricing, etc. He attempted to repair my faucet and, of course, could not. He went down to the truck and brought back a really nice looking Kohler faucet that he installed and charged me 560.00. I feel robbed. If I said no I would have had to pay the $79.00 service fee for nothing and still have had to look for a plumber. If I am wrong and this is a standard charge I would like some to educate me please.

Normally I don't write a review if I did not hire the company to do the work, but this one was too egregious to pass. Our water heater started leaking under the tank. Since it was under warranty (4 years 3 months old), the manufacturer AO Smith agreed to provide a free replacement but said I need to contact a Plumbing Contractor to deliver one and install it. I was supposed to pay for the delivery and labor. I had good experience with Mr. Plumber's parent company (Williams Comfort and Air) with when I purchased a heating/cooling system from them at my last house in 2012. So I called them for an estimate for installation. On the phone, I was given a quote of $90/hr and told it would take 4-6 hours of work. I had two other quotes from other companies in the range of $500-$600 (fixed price). So I asked for a fixed price quote. The agent on the phone said she would send a plumber to my house to look at the scope of work and give me a fixed price quote. So I took the afternoon off from work and came home to meet the plumber thinking I would get a quote for approx $550 and have the work done in the afternoon. The Plumber came on time and I took him to the basement to see the water heater. He confirmed that the water tank was leaking and the entire unit needed to be replaced. He did a few checks like checking water pressure. He then went to his truck to write the quote. He came back a few minutes later with a quote of $1418 for the labor. My jaw dropped when I saw the quote. At first I thought he was including the price of the water heater, and I told him that AO Smith will pay for the cost of water heater and I am supposed to pay only for the delivery and installation labor. He then told me that the $1418 was the price for the labor! I then told him this was too much and I had quotes from other companies in the $500-$600 range. As far as I can tell there is nothing special about my particular water heater or its location that will cost almost 3 times the average cost to install it. By my calculation, the plumber was estimating it would either take 15-16 hours to install using the previously quoted rate of $90/hour, or was just going to charge $250/hr for a 5-6 hour job. I am upset I wasted an afternoon away from work to get this outrageous quote. There are many companies that will do this job including cost of the water heater, installation & delivery for less than the price quoted by Mr. Plumber for just labor.

We called Mr. Plumber and someone came out immediately. Their response was fast. Technician crawled under house to check water leak we knew we had to outside spigot. We also needed to have new dryer vent installed to outside. Old one has a kink in it and has accumulated wet lint in the bend which has caused a rotten odor in house. Price quoted for fixing leak was $484. Price for removing bad dryer vent and installing new one was $1128. Tech claimed he had to do repair and mason work to correct problem to outside of foundation for exit of hose. He said this would require 2 techs and was major job. I am not ready to pay over $1600 for this. Tech also insisted on trying to sell us a maintenance contract which he help lower the price of the job. We told him we were retired and on fixed income. We only needed the repairs done.

They do good work and are a little expensive but they do good on the job.

They replaced my last water heater which is a little over a year ago. The pilot light has gone out a few times so called to inquire if this was normal, if it could cause any problems or is dangerous by not having it fixed right now, and if it was under warranty. When asking if it was under warranty, the response on the phone was our plumber has that information so he could look that up when he came out. The answer to any other question was we can't give any advice on the phone without someone coming out which she responded with before I could barely finish my question. The cost to come out is $79 so basically someone has to come out to answer basic questions and look up my warranty. They have a coupon to waive that IF there is a repair but if not I'm stuck with a service call for their product that is barely over a year old. Poor customer service on the phone and will look for better advice and possible repair elsewhere.

Came within 8 hours of calling which is the efficient time element we were wanting.This was a job for my parents home. Frank was the technician and he was efficient, answered all my parents questions,no pressure for other offers. He was professional and did the job with no problems. Thanks also to the pleasant office staff who set up the appointment and shared concern in getting the job done in the time element we needed

They looked at the unit which had water running down it. Obviously it needs to be replaced. I live in a higher end area of town and this company quoted me total of $2866 which included a thermal expansion tank. He also stated that it didn't include the back hole valve which he recommended that I get as well which was an additional $963. I then asked how much a water heater costs and this provider stated that he wasn't sure the actual price of the unit off hand and didn't give me a ball park figure either. This company has been in business for years... the technician should have been able to give me an estimate for the unit alone. I have used Metzlers plumbing for years now and they replaced our hot water heater the last time but this company and a large amount of others have been purchased and are now under a big umbrella. When I called Lowes Hardware to get a price on a 50 gallon unit they said it was $475 - $575 which depended on warranty and also had an installer who could do the installation for $275... how did this company get a total quote that was so high. I declined the service from this company so they charged me $79.00 for coming out to write an estimate.

They got it fixed. I can't remember the exact cost or exact date. Happy with the work. It was an older house and they got it fixed quickly. Seems approx 700.00

Technician was prompt and thorough. He took extra time to explain faucets that were close to needing repair, but wasn't pushy in recommending immediate replacement when it did not warrant as some plumbers may have done. I would use this company again for future plumbing inspections and repairs.
