+ -1 moreWe were having drain issues on a Friday night. We finally called Mr. Plumber after checking reviews on Angie's list. Once we called, they responded quickly. They were up front on the estimated cost per hour. They came out late Friday evening and tried to clear the drain, going almost 100 feet in without any luck. They said they would need to come back the next day and do a camera inspection. They did their camera inspection and still could not get a good view after some distance in the pipe due to the blockage, but had an idea on where the blockage was. They said at that point they would have to dig in the yard to get the pipe. They took care of getting the permits from the city and worked with them on the inspections to complete the work. Despite the high cost, we were able to get most the work covered by making a claim to our homeowners insurance because of how long it took. I would recommend them.
Description of Work: They had to dig up the line outside because tree roots had gotten in the sewer line. They also installed an outside clean out. They took care of getting the permits from the city and the final inspection. They also took care of the utility locates needed for the dig. They started late Friday and the work was completed by Tuesday afternoon. They cleaned up the work area. They were upfront about the total cost and what was covered in the scope of work and what was not. They also made some suggestions on saving money by having us do the landscaping work.

+ 0 moreMr. Plumber advertised $999 water htr installation, but very, very, false advertising!!! Existing htr must have a drain pan and a pressure reserve system to be replaced. They will give an estimate, but if not accepted today, a $94 charge will be due. Even their website says “free estimates”. Don’t do business with this company if you believe their ads!!!!!

+ 0 moreFantastic from start to finish. 3 guys showed up at 9am and it was an all day job, finishing up around 630pm. They kept me informed during the day of what was going on and they cleaned up well. The results of their work couldn't be better - the water quality and the water pressure are amazing and they solved the problems we were having that no other plumber could (or would). I highly recommend them. You won't be disappointed.
Description of Work: Re-piping in our laundry room to improve water pressure throughout the house. We're on a well system - They also installed a new sediment filter, new iron filter, and new water softener.

I believe charging $95 dollars for a estimate is ridiculous. I would not recommend this company when there are other plumbers willing to give a free estimate.

+ 0 moreWe initially called them about a clogged drain. I had mentioned on the phone while scheduling that my husband believed the line may have been frozen by the cold snap. I felt like I should not have said that because when the tech came out and saw that it was stopped up he didn't really do much but gave us a quote to have the drain from our kitchen sink re-routed. Some time later, after trying several things ourselves, we had them come back and snake the drain. Turns out it was just clogged, not frozen, and didn't need to be re-routed. I ended paying for two service calls when the tech could have resolved the issue on the first visit, had he done more than just look at the drain.
Description of Work: We have a service contract with their other company for HVAC. We've used their plumbing services to unclog a drain and other things.

+ -1 moreThey were able to fix everything. It was an emergency situation so I looked at my Angie's List publication. When I called, a very pleasant very helpful woman assisted me. She put me on the list for the on call person. Within a couple of hours she called me back and said John will be here after the present service call he is on. John was very nice and very professional. He answered all of the questions that I had. I couldn't have asked for anyone nicer or more helpful. I am very thankful for the professional expertise that John provided. Mr Plumber by Metzler & Hallam are now my go to plumber.

+ -1 moreThe plumber instantly diagnosed the problem. A gasket needed to be replaced and said that the charge would be $239 to do just that and if he did anything else in the tank it would cost more. I asked if it was something I could handle. He showed me what to do (remove one part) replace the gasket and reassemble. It took no time at all. I really appreciated his help but was stunned by what it could have cost.

+ -1 moreI liked them a lot. I will use them again. Their price was better than the guy that I have used for years. I picked them because I thought the price was reasonable for what they do. They could do a new process that my regular guy couldn't do. They could borrow under my driveway. They did a very good job. Everything these days is too high. That always has a bearing. I had several estimates and I picked them because I thought for what they could do the price was in my price range and acceptable. All of this happened in the spring, so if there are any problems, I don't know about them yet. The first guys that came out had me wound up a little bit because they said something to to the effect that the other guys might not come out the next day. I only had one day to do it and they had to be here at a certain time or I wasn't going to be here. As it turned out, the guys came on time and everything was peachy. Most of them were good, but that one guy had me going. The first day they excavated. There were two guys there the first day and two guys the next day. It took two day because of all they were doing. They left the area as clean as could be because they had to leave a big mountain of dirt there for it to settle back down into a huge over 6' hole that they had to dig in the driveway and sidewalk. They did a good job for however they could finish it up. I think they did a good job and professional, except for the one guy's comment on the first day. It was just his choice of words that freaked me out because this was a big deal for me. They seemed very knowledgeable and they were able to answer any questions. The second day the guy did his job quietly and I hopefully they did a good job. One doesn't know yet. They were reasonably priced for the service.

+ -1 moreHe gave me a quote of over 3300.00 to spot repair my main sewer line. He showed me where the damage was in my front yard. Problem with that is, the pipes do not run to that area. He claimed to have equipment that located lines. I have since had 2 other estimates. Both stated the lines do not go to that area and go directly opposite of that area. I would not use this company. He stated he has been doing this for several years. The area he thought was collapsed pipes was where a tree was and was the reason for the hole and soggy area. They are 1000.00 more than ARS and another private plumber I had estimate the job.

+ -1 moreI am being fair with my rating, but I wouldn?t use them again. I had some dealing with them in the past and I called them by accident this time. It was kind of okay. The guy who did the work, he was snarky and smart alecky and that?s why I gave a ?B? on professionalism. I would have done a ?C?, but I am trying to be fair and not get personal and all of that. When I discovered they were in Carmel, I was not surprised by that guy?s attitude, but he may not live there. He did get the work done and it?s working properly, but he was very smart alecky from the beginning. It was difficult for him to get the task done and he complained about that. The other thing that I did not discover until a week was that he left a mess. From the pipe that he cut, he just threw them on the floor in my basement and left them. I don?t really like complaining about people.
Description of Work: I had some copper tubing or whatever it’s called in the water lines, in the basement that was leaking. That was repaired.

+ -1 moreLast fall Mr. Plumber replaced the sewer line from my house to the street. I’ve been in the construction world long enough to know that nobody is perfect. At the start of the job their crew damaged the water line. It was a big mess. Their staff notified me of the mistake immediately, and told me they will take care of everything. They got contractors on site that day to do the cleanup and repair work inside the home and outside. They got the work done and did what they had to do to “make it right” – that’s the difference between average contractors and the best contractors. That’s why, despite the troubles, I’m giving Mr. Plumber and “A” rating. While their pricing is competitive pay a little extra to have the crew compact the backfill so you’re not staring at a huge pile of dirt in your yard, plus dealing with settlement, for a year or more. This was well worth the expense after seeing what many neighbors went through trying to get their yards back to normal.
