I had requested a price on a new gas furnace and heat pump. I was given a very good price on any brand and correct size of units of my choice. I still had two more companies coming for pricing and found Grace to have a very competitive price and thought that the company's history and references, that I was given to contact, were very positive. I contacted them to have them give me a detailed contract so we could move ahead and then never heard from them for 4-6 weeks. When I finally was able to speak to my contact person, after my repeated calls, I was told I would be receiving the contract soon. I still haven't. This was in the spring of 2008. Last contact was in July, 2008. I was very disappointed in the follow-up from this business.

The technician came at the stated time. We were called prior to his arrival & told when he was coming. He was knowledgeable and polite. He did his work efficiently and neatly. The work did not take as long as I expected.

When I called the woman on the phone said they didnt price by the hour that they priced by the job. She also let me know that theyll come out and price the job when they come out. They were out within 45 minutes and told me what their pricing was. The unfortunate thing is that the cost is so high for what they did that it really overshadows everything else about the job. I felt that it was somewhat of a predatory way that they dealt with their pricing since even if I didnt have them do the work that I would have to pay $70 for the service call. I made sure to let them know that their pricing was out of control, I was only using them because I felt stuck and that I wouldnt use them again because of this. While they were doing the work I called another electrical company who quoted me a price of $170 for the same job, which included a service fee with a $20 discount for Angies List members. The cost was after giving us an Angies List discount for the service call ($70 off provided that you do the work with them).

Arrived on time. Quickly identified problem. Fixed problem. Recommended and asked about surge protection for house. Quickly installed. Asked about any other electrical problems. Quickly replaced dimmer switch. The price for the problem and the surge protection seemed reasonable. The price for the dimmer switch replacement seemed high.

I called for an appt and they gave me a two hour window. The night before, they called and gave me a one hour window. They also called when the tech was on the way. Very nice communication. The person on the phone also asked how I found out about them and I said Angie's List and she immediately said No Service Charge (didn't need to use the coupon). I thought I just had one plug out but apparently a power surge had also knocked out some in the basement also. He repaired the outage and explained that power surges can cause this kind of damage. He recommended a power surge protector for $250. I also had that put in. He was extremely professional and also gave me quotes on motion lights in the backyard (which I requested a quote) and noticed my smoke detectors were old and checked them out and gave me a quote to replace them since they are tied to the electrical system.

The technician arrived to give us an estimate. I thought the amount was high, but they would have charged $70 for the estimate if I didn't have the work done. Took him less than 30 minutes to complete the job. I figured that worked out to be an HOURLY rate of just over $600!

The job went very well! The service man first thought he would have to cut the drywall, but I suggested he go through the attic because I didn't want to add another expense to fix the drywall. Therefore, he checked to see if it was possible and it was, so he moved the cable and electrical outlet up the wall so I could put a flat screen tv on the wall. The dimmer switch was an easy install. I would have done it myself but I needed a 1000 watt dimmer. I thought the estimate for the dimmer switch was very high, but he was there and had the part so I went ahead and did it.

I'm a relatively competent "handyman," but some electrical work is over my head. Scheduling a time to have an electrician diagnose the problem was a breeze and the customer service reps were VERY professional and kind. The electrician that came was, again, very professional, explained the problem and our options in terms that were straightforward. After spending 5 - 10 minutes fixing the problem, we had power again! The $200 fee seemed a bit steep for the amount of work that was done, but we definitely paid for QUALITY work, service and people. Our experience with Mister Quik Electric was a positive one and we would certainly recommend them to a friend!

Their estimate was good, but it was more than we needed. We ended up holding of on the work. They were very professional though.

I am a Realtor and my out of town clients were requested in the inspection to run bond jumper from water heater to gas manifold. I looked on Angie's List and found Mr. Quick. They gave me a two hour window of time and I asked if they would call when they were close so I would not have to set in a driveway for two hours. He called me ten minutes out and we pulled up about the same time. He talked to the inspector who wrote the report and made sure he was going to install the bond as intended. He did that job and put a light fixture in very quickly. Kent was quick, friendly and explained the process.

Tech was very prompt, competent, professional, completed work efficient and took time to explain the installation as well as other equipment I had questions about. Extremely courteous and helpful.

I feel I was overcharged for the services I received. The service was call was only $59.00 They charged me an additional for $104.75 and this didn't include any parts because I already had the part. They were only here for 10 minutes. I feel taken advantage of as a consumer.

Called to schedule an appointment to upgrade an outlet in a garage to accept washer/dryer 220. Came same day but was 30 minutes late. Wanted $750 and said this was a 1.5 hour job, but only charged by job not hour. I told the electrician price was way too high. He showed me his price book and said it was the national average. I told him that the company should go with Midwest average because this price was way too high. I may be a female, but I guess I wasn't desperate enough to get the laundry done that day to pay that inflated price especially since the wiring was already exposed, outlet only needed to be upgraded and that was it. Told the electrician to forget it, I was calling another electrician more reasonably priced. Wanted me to pay the service call fee but I told them that their ad says guarantees on time arrival so I didn't pay anything. Note: Called another electrician who came out 3 days later and upgraded the outlet for $240 including labor and materials. It took him 2 hours but he checked other outlets for me and said upgrading was not that hard to do especially when the wiring was already there and you don't have to go behind the drywall.

He was very professional. I like that the company uses a 2 hour time window. They called to let me know he was on the way and he arrived promptly.

Everything went great!! He was very quick and polite. They were on time and it worked out wonderfully.

I knew one outside GFI plug was bad. The technician found a second bad plug. He promptly replaced both. I asked the technician to look at an outside light because I thought my husband had changed the light bulb and done other things and still couldn't get it to work. It turns out that all it needed was a new light bulb. I felt like an idiot, but the technician was very kind and never treated me like an idiot or made me feel bad for asking him to look at the light. I appreciated his attitude and kindness.

I called this company in the morning and they came out in the afternoon. They were going to just repair it so we could get by through the winter. The repairman told me it was unrepairable. The owner came that night and talked to us about the different furnaces. He found us a furnace that was reasonably priced and fit our needs. The workers showed up on time, respectful of our property, and very professional. They should be company of the month.

His work was good, but he sure was expensive. I felt like it was overpriced. He was a little late, and then he had to leave. He said he would be right back, and then he was gone for about two hours. When he left here, everything was fine. He suggested I have a surge protector put on the electrical box, so I told him to do it. He charged me $700, which I thought was a little outrageous.

They did a very good and thorough job. They fully explaned why our current panel presented a fire / outage hazard. They completed the job within their estimated timeframe and cleaned up before they left. I had used them previously, but this experience topped the first job. Mike, our tech, even sent a hand-written thank you. My only complaint was that I had scheduled the morning slot (8-10 AM) to have them out promptly, and they arrived right around 10 AM. So while they were technically within the timeframe, I didn't think they would be arriving at that time based on me being the first job that day. Other than that - a great job.

Overall, good. Very responsive. A little on the pricey side but very good.

We called for an estimate. They sent James the next day. He understood what we were looking for ( we had a long list). He came back to start the work (with another electrician but James was the lead) and was courteous, competent, and efficient. The work took two days.

Went very well overall- A bit disappointed with their set pricing schedule instead of charging by the time it takes to address the problem- I suppose this pays off when it takes longer than usual to fix problem. Angie's List discount (waived service call fee) helped.

I had budgeted about $300 for the dishwasher/disposal wiring, plus a few other misc electrical improvements. However, it cost $350 for the 1 hour of work on the dishwasher/disposal, so I was forced to do the other work myself. For example, I needed a light switch installed at the basement stairs. That was quoted at $266! I also needed a light and plug installed in my garage, which was quoted at $450! I can do some basic electrical work, and this seemed really expensive. Quik also works off a price list, so there is no negotiating for a unique situation, just auto-robot pricing. If time were not an issue, I would probably go with a journeyman electrician who does side jobs next time. There's definitely a trade off between professionalism and pricing. The last electrician I used was much less professional than Mr Quik, but only charged me $80 for a new garage outlet.

Kent arrived on time - accessed the work/provided the work estimate. He explained the work he would do, recommended options, then began the repair. Inside of two hours he was done and our lights were operational again. The cost of repair is based on a flat rate plan. Having nothing else to judge from on the probable cost - I looked at similar repair work reported on Angie's list. The cost of repair was a bit more than I had anticipated but I am happy with the work performed and the results. Kent was courteous and careful - professional in every way.

One of the owners Mike came out to the house to track down the problem. I was scheduled for 3 p.m. but they called at 11:00 and ask if they could come at 11:30 that morning instead. I agreed and came home but they didn't arrive until after 12:00. From the moment I looked out my window and saw Mike I could tell he was not happy to be there. He came in and I explained the problem. He then walked around to the fuse panel and I turned on everything in the house to try to recreate the problem. It didn't happen while he was out doing the 20 minute inspection. He noted it could be a problem with the breaker box but wasn't sure. He quoted $2,000 to replace it. He wanted two thousand dollars to replace the panel and couldn't guarantee that it would fix the problem. I told him this happens many times an hour it will be happening shortly, and then ask if he could stay another 10 minutes. He replied "no, not really" and then asked me to sign the invoice. I signed and complained to him about his service, he then walked towards me in an aggressive manner and said "I don't see what the problem is here." That's when I told him he to get out of my house. He stood there for a second staring at me so I repeated it and started moving towards him to help him to the door. He was able to walk to the door on his own and left. Needless to say less than 5 minutes after he left the problem started happening again. He received his inspection fee so he didn't care. I wouldn't trust these people to change a light bulb.
