He checked the breaker box and found what he thought were indications that the box itself was old and on its last leg. He quoted me a price for the replacement of the entire box. I decided this was more than what I wanted to pay and probably more than what the problem was. I spoke with some people who had some experience with this and they guided me in a different direction. I wasn't pleased with them because I think they were just looking for an opportunity to make money on a job that didn't actually need to be done. I also thought the price for the estimate was a little steep for what I got. I would probably try someone new next time I have electrical issues.

After the damage occurred, I called Mister Quick about 11am for a Service Call to repair. I was told a technician would be there at 3pm and provide a free estimate prior to starting any work. The technician arrived on time and I showed him the exposed wire that had been cut. He proceeded to write up the estimate while referencing what appeared to be a menu of services and prices. He showed me the estimate including labor and splice kit - $301. I told him that was an outrageous amout for a simple splice (exposed and no digging required) so I refused the work. I called another Licensed Electrician to come the following day. His charge was $110 including the splice kit. The entire job took a total of 15 minutes. Still not inexpensive but I expect to pay this amount for a repair by a Professional. I initially called Mr. Quick Electric from all the radio advertising I heard. I guess those advertising dollars come at a high price. I checked Angie's List afterwards and noted that my experience with high prices was common with other members. They provide prompt service and probably expect the majority of people to accept their pricing in an emergency.

They are excellent. All of the work sounds expensive, however I know that when they are finished the work is going to be done right. The guy who came out to my home knew exactly what to do and he did not mess around. He told me what the price was going to be and at the point the choice is either take it or leave it. I have an electrical service contract with them.

I called them back because they come when they say they would come. They took care of the problem for me. They stuck with their estimate. They were very tidy, cooperative and friendly. They schedule check ups on the work they have done. I think that?s nice.

Tim Ryan was great. He gave me options without trying to sell me the top of the line. He came and put on a light display to show me what could be done. He worked with me to find the best I could get for what I thought I wanted to do. I had two unrelated electrical problems in my back yard and he fixed it without charge even though it was after hours. He was very friendly, and I enjoyed talking with him about electrical things and he was very good at explaining how things work. I plan to use him next summer to get some additional work done. I really thougt Tim was trying to do what was in my best interest and I came to trust him without question.

We only wanted someone to come out to give us an estimate on the installation of two ceiling fans. We called the week prior and made an appointment and were told to expect someone between 5 & 7 pm. We waited until about 6:30pm then the phone rang. The dispatcher said that they were running behind and might not get there til 7:30 or 7:45pm. We were OK with that. But then we got another call at 7:45pm saying they were still running late. That's when we got very discouraged. The man my husband spoke with said that another contractor should have been sent instead. He did take the time to listen to our request over the phone and gave a quote that way. Unfortunately, the cost was much too high (would be the same even if we chose another company due to labor to install) so we did not pursue this any further. We would most likely not use this company in the future due to this instance and recommend they consider changing the name of their company.

They were very good. They were on time. They did the work. If there was a problem they came right back to fix it. I would recommend them.

When I came home thursday evening after being out of town, I noticed that several of my outlets and switches were not providing voltage. I checked the fuse box and switched all of the switches back and forth. This still did not resolve the problem, so I called Mr. Quik and scheduled an appointment for friday morning. He came early as requested, and I described the situation to him. I found out that the Angie's List coupon for $59 is a joke. This is a coupon just for them to come to your house and none of this is applied to any work done. Seems bogus to me. He proceeded to spend about 10 minutes checking my switch box in the garage and when he was finished with this, he showed me the company's chart of diagnostic charges. The diagnostic charge is $227 per switch, of which he stated I had two or three in my house, all of which he stated needed to be checked. I told him that this seemed outrageously high. At that point, I went into one of the rooms that previously had no electricity and saw that it was now OK. So I proceeded to check the other switches and they were also now OK. Apparently I did not correctly switch the circuits back and forth. However, my concern is that it seems that he was prepared to have me sign to pay up to $600+ to do additional uneeded diagnostic work without checking to see if the switches and outlets were working as a result of him switching the circuits back and forth. He did correct the problem and he also did educate me on correctly switching the circuits in case of a surge, which he stated is probably what caused the problem. The charge ended up being $227 for about 30 minutes of work, and would have been considerably more if I hadn't noticed the power was now restored in the outlets and switches that had been out. Overall he did a decent job, but my impression of this company is that they send their technicians out instructing them to take as much money from the consumer as they possibly can. These fees don't even include any type of material needed.

Ther service was great. No problem at all. Mr Quik also sent a handwritten thank you note after it was finished.

We were very pleased with the service. He was very efficient and gracious as he had to work around a lot of moving boxes. There was some time delay on our part (both at the time of the estimate and at the time of the outlet replacement) but he was also gracious with our delay. Although the price was a little high, we appreciated Mr. Quik's timely response to our call as well as the attention to detail. He found outlet covers to match our rooms.

very well... called them up day after holiday and came over when they said ckd out the problem told us what we needed to do and quoted a price , how long it would take and did the job right then instead of us having to wait for another time...

I have used them in the past for electrical repairs. I am so happy with the service and how efficient they were.

Dean came and installed the light. The light was blinking on and off so I called Dean and he came out and made an adjustment. Then we started having problems with the light again, so Dean came out and then advised that the motion light was defective. I returned the light and exchanged for a new one and Dean came out again and installed it and this time it is working perfectly. Dean made several trips at no additional charge and we extremly pleased with his service that we received.

Excellent overall service and results as described previously.

They did good work, I though they were pretty pricy.

called Mr. Quik for an estimate on replacing 12 30-year old outside wall lights that had badly deteriorated. Tim Ryan gave me an estimate and suggested an online lighting company that had a good assortment of lights. I purchased the lights and set a time for Tim to come. I had to make several changes since the lights did not arrive when expected and Tim was very willing to work with me and eventully came on Saturday to install the lights. He was very thorough, knowledgeable about how to install them into a stone surface, which was my previous problem because the screws holding my old lights kept popping out of the stone. I love the lights and the job Tim did and would highly recommend Mr. Quik Electric and will use them again.

Grace Heating and Cooling was able to quote a lower price for me and that's originally why I decided to go with them. However, I was amazed when they offered their 5 year parts AND labor warranty! When the technician came to replace my air handler, he was knowledgeable, efficient and thorough. I've had some horrible experiences over the past year and a half w/ heating and cooling companies and I just wish I had discovered them sooner. I will definitely use this company again and would recommend them to anyone.

Mr Quik had been out to wire up my dishwasher a few months ago, so they didn't charge me a service fee to come out and do an estimate on the panel upgrade. However, their pricing is so out of whack that I had to file a report. It seems like a common problem with them. They are very responsive and professional, but you will pay dearly for it. To upgrade to a 200 amp panel, they quoted me $5000. I had the work done for $1240. That is a 400% difference for those of you keeping score at home. Even the dishwasher I had them hook up to the panel cost me $350 for 20 minutes of work. I will not use Mr Quik again if I can avoid it.

I emailed a request to schedule a repair on a Sunday. I got a call first thing the next morning, and was able to get an appointment the following day (Tuesday). Outstanding service from both the scheduler and especially the electrician who came out to do the work. The electrician additionally went through an extra electrical inspection checklist with me to assess my house's electrical system.

I decided to switch from a gas to an electric stove and needed the proper plug installed. I went with Mister Quick based on Angie's List reviews. What I didn't realize was that the pricing system for them is very inflexible. The electrician showed up, checked out what needed to be done, and then referred to a chart with prices. The charges are not by the hour and my job was relatively simple (existing spot in the breaker, unfinished basement with wires just running along the ceiling, and a short distance to the stove), but there was a standard price for this type of installation. The work took about an hour, so it would have almost certainly been cheaper if they had charged by the hour.

Dean of Mister Quik Electric was punctual even ahead of scheduled time. Company called both days he did work and announced his time of arrival. His upgrading of 100 amp electrical service was a work of art and performed in well under 3 hours. His original service call was for a short circuit in master bedroom. He tracked it down in under 20 minutes and made repair. I was impressed with his appearence and professionalism and hired company to perform 4 additional tasks. He came back the next morning and upgraded electrical service, installed two new outlets; one inside and one outside, and installed a second story master bedroom bath ceiling ventilation fan. Total time for four jobs was approximately 4 hours. Again very impressed with his appearence, knowledge, and professionalism

I have been told before that my electrical box needed to be replaced, so I knew they were not just giving me a sales pitch. Everything worked out very well. They were on time and very neat and orderly. I was very happy with them, and would certainly use them again.

He was here from 9am till 3:30. He was polite, informative and did a great job.

They are responsive, their pricing was great and I will continue to use them.
