they were out w/in 3 hrs of calling for service. they were professional and called just before they arrived. they told all the prices up front and had everything diagnosed and fixed in about 90 mins.

I got an appt quickly and the tech came at the expected time. I had my Angie's List coupon for the $69 service call charge and that was accepted. Then I showed the tech the outlet in the garage where the GFI needed to be replaced. Of course, the reset button I'd been trying to push in worked when I was showing him the problem. Then he told me he'd figure out a solution for me and we discussed that it still might be time for the unit to be replaced. He spent a long time in the garage and in his truck, then came in and asked how old my house is. I told him about 30 years and he went back out for a while and came back in with the plan he'd come up with for me. He said I needed about $3000 worth of work done! He'd itemized about 5 things that I should have done, with the one thing I'd asked him to do being listed in the mddle of the group. He told me that I really should have my entire electrical panel replaced every 10 to 15 years or the consequences could be dire! I felt he was trying to take advantage of me, thinking I wouldn't know any better than to be frightened into having him do extensive work. He did ask what on his list I wanted him to do right then, and I told him just to replace the outlet as I'd originally asked, which he did. That took him about 10 minutes after he'd spent over half an hour coming up with the elaborate repair scheme he wanted me to approve. He was neat, came on time, and did the work I'd asked. But he left me with a bad opinion of the experience because I thought he was trying to deceive me. As a single female homeowner, that's exactly the kind of experience I try to avoid.

First, the technician went to the house across the street because our address on his work order was incorrect. I told him of the problem. He insisted on doing a whole house electrical inspection prior to starting the work. I explained to him that we had just purchased the house 1 year ago and our home inspector did a full electrical inspection. He insisted on it anyway. It took him almost an hour to do this work. This is just a bug hunt to see if they can fix anything else while they are at your home. His inspection turned up nothing. He then said that he would have to do an analysis of the room where the breaker was tripped. This would be $229.00 His analysis consisted of looking at 6 electrical outlets. He found nothing wrong. He reset the breaker and it has not tripped since then. Granted, we could have had a loose wire in one of the outlets. He did tighten all connections. After his analysis, he tried talking me into replacing all of our smoke detectors. Our house is 5 years old. I felt that we paid too much money for the service we received. He wasted an hour of my time going on his hunt to find more things to charge us for. I will never use them again.

I really liked them. Things turned out great. I like that they charge a flat rate and not by the hour. It makes things simple. They assess what needs to be done and then charge a flat rate. They showed up on time and I didn't have any problems. They were efficient and did a great job. I definitely would use them again.

Overall the news was not good. But the equipment is old and may need replacement.

We had to have these guys come out THREE times before they actually fixed the job and it cost a bloody fortune. Our light post kept shorting out, so first guy replaced the wire to the house, kept shorting out, second guy fixed the first guy's shoddy work, kept shorting out. Third guy replaced the entire light pole top for a LOT of money. All in all it added up to well over $2000 for a light post repair. Seems excessive to me. I am still paying it off. Don't hire these guys for electrical work, they are too expensive and apparently do not really know what they are doing, except guy #3. He finally sorted it out, if I would have gotten him first I would have save the $1100 it cost to replace the wire to the house.

I typically use a different electrician but needed this done quickly and my electrician couldn't come out. Mister Quik was available the same morning and showed up at the beginning of the time frame that they gave me. John was courteous and efficient. The price reflects an Angies List coupon for the standard service call fee of $69 and this coupon was part of the reason that I called Mr. Quik. I was pretty much 100% sure that there wasn't an electrical problem and that the switch was just broken. The price seemed on par with what I was seeing online but seems high for a quick 15 minute fix.....guess you just pay for electrical knowledge. He confirmed that the switch we had was broken but the electrical was fine. Also provided a quote for a whole house surge protector at approximately $309 per panel (we have 2). Not ready to do that but was surprised that it wasn't a higher price. Also provided a quote to replace all of our hardwired smoke detectors which he said expire after a certain time and ours were reaching that life span. I never knew that this was the case and research online proved that smoke detectors do have a life span. This could be pretty pricey as the quote was $110 per smoke detector

I had a coupon for a free electrical service call. When I made the appointment I was told that this only applied if the work was completed, otherwise there would be a service charge of $69. When the tech arrived, he said that the charge would be $369 to install a ballast. Notice that the price included the $69 service call. This is an outrageous amount for this job. Needless to say, I did not have the work done. I have talked to 3 other electrical companies and all estimates were under $100. I think this company is offering free service calls, and then giving outrageous estimates that no one will accept. They are just billing for the service calls. This seems like a racket to me.

Called Mr Quick at about 730am on Thursday for problems in my old 17 year old furnace. They had a person at my house by 830am. THey gave me a quote on fixing the old furnace or if I wanted to replace it they would send someone out to evaluate my needs. Someone came out about a hour later and we talked. I ordered a new furnace and ordered to have my air ducts cleaned. The next morning a crew came out and cleaned my air ducts and then removed the old furnace and installed the new one. The service people were great and did a great job. They even loaned us space heaters to get thru the night before installation.

Everything went fine. The gentleman that performed the replacement has been here several times. They are very clean, neat and polite.

This company was responsive, friendly prompt and offered a very reasonable price. I was very happy all the way around.

The installation itself went well. The technician arrived on time and everything was installed correctly. However, large messes were left in the room and garage. No bill was left. A new cord from the dimmer switch was needed as it was cut too short. This was the only part of my project where I did not have multiple price quotes. After asking around afterward, their pricing was VERY high. Nobody to blame for that but myself.

They were here on time and did a good job. I would recommend them.

I was impressed by how quickly they returned my initial call on a Sunday evening. The service person was here by a little after 8 am the next day. He was professional and explained all the options thoroughly. The repairs were completed in a timely manner.

In a matter of 90 minutes, Dean diagnosed the problem of the motion detector lights probably being inactivated by a power surge. His explanation seemed plausible given how they suddenly stopped working. He installed replacement lights which we had already purchased. He recommended surge protection at the service panel which we had considered in times past. He maneuvered into a very tight attic space to diagnose a locked motor on the attic fan. We concluded that the added ventilation is no longer needed because of other measures taken so he disconnected the fan. Neither of these tasks was emergency-based. We did not seek other estimates because we felt comfortable with his explanations. To incur additional expenses in trip charges to obtain other estimates seemed unproductive. If we can eliminate other potential problems caused by power surges without having to have individual surge protectors on all applicances/equipment, it will be well-worth what we spent

Very well. Our electrician (Dean) was very thorough in explaining what needed to be done and why. He gave me different options that would work with our budget. Will definitely hire again.

I have used them before. They have put a water heater for us and they did an excellent job. They came the same day and fixed it. They were very responsive and reasonably priced. They were courteous and did the job quickly.

Another contractor cut the electrical feed into my garage while doing some other work. Since I needed that repaired the contractor had Mr. Quick do the work. I was impressed. He did the work quickly and explained carefully what he was doing. He corrected some work that had been done previously by someone else. Since I was not paying the bill, I'm not sure if the price was within reason or not. I plan to use them again.

I woke up to find my furnace unable to keep up, and discovered it was shutting down after running for a minute, staying off a few minutes, then trying again, over and over. The flashing LED indicator said it was a "Limit or flame roll-out switch is open" error. I called MisterQuik, they gave a two hour arrival range (wow) and their techs arrived in under an hour (wow!). After examining my furnace, the techs said that the blower motor was failing (and I was shown grease leaking from the bearings as evidence), and various parts were in such need of cleaning that it had caused the electronics to heat past 180F, which caused the limit switch to trip for safety. I agreed to have them replace the motor and fan (I was told it was the same price to replace the fan as to clean the grease off it) and to clean the condenser and other parts. I will say that, even with a discount, I felt the price was a bit high for the cleaning parts of the service. However, I can understand paying a premium for amazingly fast response, expertise and peace of mind. The techs were extremely polite, efficient, and knowledgeable, and had no problem showing me each item they listed and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. I even learned a few things about the system as a whole, such as how to use the louvers in my ducts to redirect heat where it's needed in my home.

From start to finish they were professional, capable and speedy. We had a previous experience with our rather large complicated home where an electrician couldn't find a problem for hours. These people were VERY capable and fixed the problem immediately. We will have them back in the spring to look at our outdoor lighting. I HIGHLY recommend Mr Quik. Every aspect of their business is SUPERIOR!

Everything went well. He was very efficient and got the job done quickly.

My HVAC service informed me there was a problem with my electrical panel. Mr Quik was able to send out an electrician the fastest of the three companies I contacted. I was told the panel needed to be replaced and was quoted a price which seemed high (a friend had a similar service done earlier in the year, so I had a ballpark figure). When I told the electrician I would need to make a few phones calls to get a couple competitive bids, he started with the hard sell (if I didn't agree on the spot, he'd have to reschedule me for the following week). I made one call to one of the other 2 Angie's list recommended companies I had called earlier, and received a quote 1/3 of what Mr. Quik had quoted. When I questioned if this was for an equivalent installation, and said what the first quote was, the representative at the other company laughed and said, "and I can tell you who gave you that quote." He was right. (His company did come out, replaced the panel, included a whole house surge protector for which Mr. Quik would have added an additional charge, and the actual charge was a third of the Mr. Quik price).

Very good. Unfortunately the electric company decided to replace a telephone pole down the street at the very same time so they had to wait for the electricity to come back on which took several hours. I did not shop around for price.

Proved to be a complicated situation requiring much more time than originally estimated. Electrician Scot adhered to the cost estimate despite an extra visit, attic inspection and other extras. He was very obliging and helpful. Gave a 5% senior discount.
