seldom does one have a (major) home improvement experience where one can say that the experience, from communication to follow up, to patience with questions to the actual, finished awesome product fully exceeded expectations. i would recommend mattingly concrete to anyone and all!

I called Mattingly originally around August 14, requesting that someone look at my existing patio and quote a new stamped concrete patio. I was told that the minimum cost is $2,500.00 and was I still interested. I said yes and we set up an appointment for August 18 at 3:30. The gentlemen arrived at 3:30, my wife and I showed him the area, and stated that we wanted it replaced and were open to any suggestions as it was not particularly large. We were told that he would give us a quote via email soon- I confirmed my email address with him. On August 26, I called Mattingly to say that I had not yet received the quote. The receptionist said she did not know why, would look into it, and that we should have something soon. It is now September 3, and we still have not received a quote and don't expect to. If a contractor is not interested in doing the work, fine, but we should be told that so we can start pursuing other options as soon as possible.

Chris was out first to quote authentic, genuine, honest and on-time. Crew showed up on time and ensured the patio shape was what I envisioned. Remaining crews came out day 2 & day 3. Job finished and well done!

Everything went extremely well and exceeded my expectations. They were very responsive with questions / concerns that we had - and worked with us on the date. The actual day of the service they were professional and neat and completed the work ahead of schedule!

Just comparing the two, they gave us a quote on the spot, but I just think they looked as professional I guess. I'm sure they're a very good company. Responsiveness is not as good as the other company. They're very professional.

Called and made an appointment to meet and receive an estimate for replacement of our driveway. Since I wanted to have it widened as well by the street, I stressed that I wanted to meet face to face with someone. Appointment was made for Friday, June 19 in the afternoon and was rescheduled at noon for Monday, June 23 in the afternoon. I left work early to attend the appointment and waited with no one showing up. The appointment was scheduled for 4pm, so after waiting 30 minutes, I called the number and no answer since they are only open 9am-3pm. No one ever showed up and no one measured our driveway while I was waiting as I was watching for someone the whole time. Next day, I receive an email that said an estimate was attached but there was no attachment. I called and was told that they thought someone had been out since the estimate was sent out. They re-sent the email with an estimate attached. During the phone call there was no offer to have someone come out again or no effort made to meet with me. When I opened the email, the estimate seemed to be a generic estimate that was used as it kept mentioning Carmel requirements when I live north of Brownsburg. Based on this experience and the impression that they made of not wanting my business, I would not recommend Mattingly Concrete. I think this whole experience was handled very unprofessionally by both the scheduler as well as the estimater. July 13 - I would like to see the pictures and evidence that they arrived at my house. I took off work and was home before 4pm as well as my wife was home.

I used Mattingly for my driveway and pad and was very pleased. I returned to them for my stoop work. They came, looked, explained what I needed and the estimate came via email soon after and I gave the go ahead. They told me I needed to have the pillars taken down or they could do it for an additional charge. I told them I would arrange for them to be taken down and the stoop braced. I did indeed do that. They scheduled the work for a Thursday a few weeks later but ran behind on another job so came Friday instead but called to tell me they would be a day off. They poured the stoop that day and returned Monday to remove the remaining forms and to take their plastic tarp. In that process they also took all of my stoop bracing leaving it unsupported. The quality of work is very disappointing. It appears they used some sort of filler which does not match the poured concrete. One of the corner edges was filled and is not smooth nor even a true edge. It looks like something I would do and that is not a good thought. The front edge has a chunk out and another missing chunk was filled and does not match. The filler was used again between where the steps and the stoop attach. It seems to not have been done as a single pour with the same materials and there is a hole to boot which likely to get water in it and freeze. We are now 16 days past the time I emailed them to say I was not pleased with the the work. Although they said someone would come and look, I still had not heard from them last week so sent photos and received a less than helpful response. It is increasingly clear they have no intention of dealing with this so I cannot tell members I would suggest using them.

Dealt with Chris. Totally professional with attention to detail. The work was done when scheduled. The driveway came out exceptionally well. Many compliments from my neighbors. A quality organization.

On time, efficient, courteous, took ownership, installed beautiful product. Owner was involved before and after.

It went very well. Explained the job a few weeks in advanced. Estimated, started when they said they would. They finished on time as promised. They included a couple of extra features, and that was nice too.

The driveway was demolished and hauled off the first day. The second day the new decorative driveway was poured. Installed on time as promised. Perfect! Chris and their staff were super responsive!

Our old garage floor had sunk about six inches in the corner of the garage where the furnace and water heater are. It also was broken in several places and the surface was badly chewed up. We got a quote to remove the furnace, which would cost over $1200, but asked about ways to avoid that expense. I asked Mattingly's salesperson if they could cut the existing floor and save it by building a frame around the furnace and existing floor so we would not have to remove and reinstall the furnace at this time. Mattingly's salesperson said they could do it. At no time were we warned that there was potential for damage, or it was a bad idea, or that there was any problem with the plan. We hired them, they were on time and had the garage floor poured the first day. They came back the second day to pour the driveway. When the garage floor was dry, we noticed that the garage was very warm. We then noticed that the wood frame they built around the area they were to save was held up by a metal spike driven into the old floor, and a chunk of the floor was gone, showing gravel. On the other side of the furnace, the old floor was fractured. Heat from the furnace was coming out from under furnace where the old floor was missing. I called Mattingly Concrete and left a message. No response. Three days later, I left another message. They called, and during the discussion they said they would come to look at it on Friday. No one showed up or called to reschedule. I called again. They sent and email and asked that we send photos of the damage, which I did. They then sent an email that they were not responsible for the damage. We sent emails back and forth, but they insisted they were not liable. There was no person's name signed on the emails, they made no attempt to come out and look at the damage, they refused to acknowledge they might be responsible, and finally emailed that they would fix the problem for $250 by pouring cement in the area around the furnace if we removed the furnace and had it reinstalled when they were done. This brilliant solution would cost us around $1500, which is more than it would have cost if they had said up front they couldn't save the old floor. They never said they could not save the old floor around the furnace until two weeks after they ruined it. Other issues that may not have been enough to write about if not for the above problem are: 1) The salesman said they would form the driveway about 10" or so beyond the garage door opening. The driveway was formed right to the edge of the garage door, leaving little room for passengers to get out of the car without stepping in the grass. When I asked about it before the cement truck arrived, the man said the truck was going to be there within a half hour, they didn't have time to change it. 2) They made no attempt to repair the curb where it was cracked at the bottom of the driveway (perhaps by their bobcat, because I don't remember the curb being damaged previously), saying to do so would be a waste because it would not last very long.

We decided not to do it. I got a fast quote back but the pricing was just too high for me to consider it this time. The guys who came out were fine. They were professional and did a good job as far as getting the quotes and everything. It was just more expensive than what I wanted to go for so I decided not to go for replacing concrete.

I called them, they scheduled a time for a quote, showed up at that time, provided me a number on the spot and emailed me a detailed description of the work. Two days later they scheduled the work and they showed up on time to complete it. The experience was faultless in every way. I tried to get Rod's Quality Concrete to do this a year ago--they rescheduled the job three times and then said they'd be in touch and never called me. I tried to reschedule this spring and they never called me back. Mattingly acted like true professionals.

I have used Mattingly Concrete, Inc on a former residence and there were excellent. I refer anyone that needs concrete work to them.

They showed up when scheduled and did a very good job. Very efficient, clean, and product is great.

They are professional, and I really enjoyed working with them. It looks good. The price was reasonable.

I was very happy with their work. I have not had any problems yet.

They gave a similar estimate to another provider I just was not ready for this expense.

We were not at home when the work was done. They came one day early due to the prediction of rain on the date scheduled. But we are very pleased with the step and rail. All we talked to a Mattingly are polite, responsible, and professional!

They did a perfect job. It looks new and well built.

In a word "fantastic". Great from start to finish. Prompt reply to my request for an estimate. Gave a date and followed through on that day. Would hire again. Workers polite and professional.

When the contract was signed mid-July, we were told our job would likely start the end of August or first part of September. The contractor called the first week of August to say they could start the very next week 3-weeks earlier than we expected. They were there to start phase 1 of the job as promised. The only issue we had is that our cable line was snapped and we were without phone or internet for a day and could not work while at home. Will Mattingly took care of the problem right away and dealt with the cable company to get the problem resolved quickly. They were very professional, responsive and as my wife stated, the most polite crews she has ever been around. Constant communication with us during the process was superb and we were asked often how we thought everything was going and if we had any questions. The driveway turned out beautifully and we could not be more pleased with how it turned out! I highly recommend Mattingly Concrete, Inc. Prices are good, service is excellent and everyone from the top down friendly and great to work with.

Mattingly had the best price and a much more professional and detailed proposal. There were some delays in starting the work because of weather, their scheduling issues and mine but once they arrived they worked hard and completed the job in four days. The workers were neat and professional and made a real effort to minimize the mess and inconvenience to the neighbors. They answered my questions and addressed my concerns promptly. The garage floor and driveway look beautiful. I appreciated their efforts to clean up including moving sod back and doing some repair of the (necessarily) damaged lawn along the driveway.

I got three bids to replace my two 21 year old driveways and sidewalks. Will Mattingly was the middle bid but his enthusiasm and responsiveness was much more impressive than the others. We were delayed a couple of days due to weather but the finished product was excellent. Will was very helpful in explaining alternatives, including a heated driveway which I didn't elect to do. He did everything that he said he would and, based on my experience, I would recommend Mattingly Concrete highly.
