Response from Mattingly Concrete Inc
[Member Name Removed], We appreciate constructive criticism and we are always striving to improve our customer service systems. As far as scheduling went for you job, as with many others, mother nature often takes the wheel from us at times forcing us to delay or hold a start date or continued work based on rain, temperatures, and other factors. We do our best to work around these types of things and keep our customers happy at the same time. Our records show your patio and sidewalk project took a total of three days. Starting on a Friday afternoon and being completed by the following Tuesday. As we sift through the more than 60 email transmissions that we have on record, we find examples of where we explained processes and coloration as best we could at the time. We encourage customers to ask questions and encourage our staff to reply in a friendly manner. As sometimes with text and emailed responses will be, it is hard to gauge a persons "tone" in an email. At no point did we intend to sound this way. Our foremen on the job are required to document every step of every project through detailed pictures and descriptions. We document the weather, the concrete mix, and all variables as well. When picking concrete colors, as we stated many times through the planning phase of your project, colors are not exact matches like you would find to be at a paint shop. Variables like sun, wind, and concrete mix alter the color of every job we complete in some minuscule way. An exact match to any sample should never be expected on any concrete project and we still stand with that statement today. We try our best to get this across to customers with a very detailed explanation and contract more than 6 pages long. We will take this review and improve on every system we have in place as much as possible and we are sad to hear someone had anything less than a great experience with us. thank you for your input.
