Mac's Septic Service

Technicians are very helpful and knowledgeable, and price is reasonable. They gave us different options, and tried to help us go with the least-cost alternative to hopefully fix our problem. They also provide tips to help prevent problems - we only use Mac's for our service, and are always happy with them. Our only complaint is that they advertise 24 hour/emergency service, and we weren't able to get someone out to our house until after 1pm the day after we called at 7pm. Someone answered our call at 7pm the night the septic flooded into our basement (which was good), but they couldn't come out that night (wasn't sure why), and it was early afternoon the next day before they arrived, even though it had been promised to us "the next morning." A bit frustrating because we couldn't use water, flush toilets, etc. in the meantime. With two toddlers, it was a pain (in addition to the sewage in our finished basement).

The work was done in a timely fashion. The person that did the work was also very helpful in giving advice on care of tank and when it should be serviced again.

I called on Monday. They set up an appointment for Wednesday, came out on time, and pumped out the tank for $185 as quoted. Mike the serviceman, even fixed my rusty lock down mechanism on the tank lid for no additional charge. Very friendly and a great experience.

The men came out one day after I called them. They were very helpful and explained everything they were doing. They gave me prices upfront, so I could make decisions. The job was finished that day, and they cleaned up after themselves very well. They also gave me a $20 Angie's List discount. This company made my experience hassle-free.

They were great to work with. It was winter and the ground was covered with snow. They found the septic cover without any trouble and pumped it clean. No muss, no fuss.

I highly recommend the company. They were responsive from start to finish. This is the second time I've used Mac's, and I would definitely call them again. They returned all phone calls promptly, were on time for both of the visits they had to make to my house, and they went above and beyond on the work. When they didn't have all the parts they needed to repair the system, they drove and picked up the supplies -- and still finished in a little over two hours. One part they added at no cost since the job was fairly expensive. And they cut the final cost of the pump motor since they had just pumped the system the day before. In all, they were polite, dependable and easy to work with.

Great experience. After having a plumber identify that the septic tank was the issue, I called Mac's asking if they could come out this afternoon. After a brief check, the cheerful scheduler said that she could have someone out in a couple of hours. She gave me a call to let me know that they were coming and someone showed up and got the job done within a 1/2 hour. Had they not been so accommodating, I would have lost another day at the office.

They did a good job and I was satisfied with the work. I would use them again.

Cleaning went fine, but a month later, where they had dug, it was wet (a pool of water was there). They came back. When they cleaned the tank the pressure had blown the top off the distribution box; responded within 4-5 days. Repair seemed somewhat "make shift" with concrete and plastic. I don't know whether this is permanent fix or not. We will be following up later in regards to this.

Called on a Thursday evening, was able to get an appointment for the following Monday. Driver called prior to arriving so somone could meet him at the house. Did the job and charged the estimate quoted over the telephone.

The company was very helpful and responsive. No problems at all.

The driver was right on time, office called to double check directions ahead, driver was polite and informative. I don't think the operation could have gone any better. It was overall, considering the nature of the job, a pleasant experience.

Work was done professionally and at quoted price. The best routing for the drain line was through an existing flowerbed. Louie and crew went to the effort to dig up and save the plants that were in the line of the drain. I wasn't expecting this extra effort.

I was having trouble with slow drains, and Mac's came out and pumped my system. They charged $225 for the pumping, and since I helped them dig up the lid, they waived the usual $25 fee for digging.

Great. They called to let me know they were coming and confirmed directions. They found entry point easily and pumped system without making a mess (minimal ground disturbance to get to lid). Cleaned up and on their way in short period of time. Personable and helpful in identifying potential leak/impact on system. Recommended pumping out every 3-4 years.

They were great at explaining and advising regarding the health of our septic system. They also provided great information for maintaining our system. They had a great response and were nice to deal with.

Arrived on time. They were very courteous and helpful. They expressed some concern over the age and condition of the finger system and told me what to do and look for. I've also had a follow-up call with the lady who answers the phone, and she was very helpful in answering my questions. Good people. Good work!

Did a good job, as far as I can tell.

Beat all other estimates by a significant amount and stuck to it. Worked with the Public Health Department to ensure work done completely within code, but in a way that eliminated any unnecessary "extras." Public Health likes working with them a great deal. Took plans to ensure that the yard looked as good as it possibly could following total septic tear-up. Very courteous, they put a high value on excellent customer service.

The two gentlemen that came were extremely curtious. They could not find the lid at first, but continued to look. After they found it, it took them about a half an hour to get the job completed. The only complaint is that they were a few hours late.

Person answering phone refused to accept deaf relay call. Hence I was unable to make appointment.
