I liked that I just dealt with one person when ordering everything. I thought that the quality of products is about the same, no matter where you but them. I liked that we were able to see the products on display. They will replace any item that was damaged during shipping.
Description of Work: We had them order a jacuzzi tub, toilet, sink in a special color. We bought bathroom fixtures for the tub and sink and a ceiling fan.

Purchased new LG Hi Macs solid surface countertop along with new garbage disposer and faucet. Tracy was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She was honest about the types and brands of countertops for the best value and quality. The purchase price of the countertop included tear out of my existing countertop and installation of the new countertop and plumbing hookup. The Lowe's special service department is very thorough; they kept me aware of when to expect installation and provided timely follow up to ensure that everything went successfully. Lowe's uses sub-contractors for installation. I was very happy with the experience and feel satisfied that I was able to save money purchasing through Lowe's rather than another company.

At the store the salesperson was very unenthusiastic about helping us but did set up an appointment for measurement. The sub-contractor who would do the installation was friendly and very thorough. When placing the order the same unenthusiastic employee helped us submit the order, but we couldn't pay for it until someone else processed it. They called and said it was ready for payment, but when we came back to the store there was no one to help us. I guess many employees were sick that day. We finally got it ordered and from the point on the store was very good about calling us and letting us know the process. When the carpet came in, the sub-contractor called to schedule the times for installation. We scheduled the day, but he never called to say when he would be here. When they arrived they were very friendly and efficient. The only qualm was they did not sweep the floors after they were done. We still find stray fibers all over the place.
Description of Work: Lowe's installed new frieze carpet in 5 rooms including closets. They removed old carpet and put down new padding along with the new carpet.

The purchase, scheduling and installation went well. Because the old water heater was severely limed up and would not drain completely, the plumber was not able to lift it up into his truck to take it away. He said he would have someone else pick it up. It was five days before it was picked up. Lowes had to contact the contractor twice before it was picked up. I do appreciate the follow up calls from the Lowes.

Alicia, is who helped us, was very good and helpful. The one thing that we did have a problem with in terms of the store itself was them letting us know that our stuff was there. Once we had all of that straight, things went along smoothly. They actually had our stuff there, but they had it in the wrong area. Delivery was included in the cost.
Description of Work: They re-did our bathroom. The vanity, countertops, and mirrors were purchased here.

Last year I purchased a beautiful new glass storm door from Lowe's. Unfortunately this summer while mowing the grass, the lawn mower threw a rock and shattered it! I want to say thank you to Mark Westerfield in the commercial sales department at the Lowe's on North Shadeland. There was some confusion as to what I needed because the company I got the door from (Larson) was recently acquired by another company (Pella), who altered the size. We didn't think a replacement for the specific design I had could be obtained to fit the door I had. Half the people he talked to didn't know what he was talking about and the other half didn't seem to care! After much aggravation and phone calling, Mark finally was able to get me the exact thing I was looking for. I know he put a lot of work into it and went the distance to help me. I sincerely appreciate it and would highly recommend Mark to anyone needing knowledgeable help with their home improvement!

When I went in the store, they were extremely busy. I am handicapped and must use a cart to navigate the store. I appreciate the fact they have multiple carts available. A young man could not help me but went out of his way to find someone who could. I paid for the furniture I wanted and arranged for delivery to my home. The furniture was delivered exactly when they said it would be. It was such an easy transaction, it was unbelievable.

Truly a forgivable mistake if this were a one time only thing. But I bought a large freezer 2 years ago and when it was delivered, the delivery people plugged in the new, emptied the old into the new freezer [Frigidaire] and left. Unfortunately, the new freezer didn't work. That same year I had a similar experience with a microwave oven [GE Spacemaker]. I've purchased 2 lawnmowers (Bolens,) each was broken within a year [and one has since broken again.] Their name brands must be second-hand and their people take no ownership when the issues are reported. On the freezer, I was told it would take 72 hour to replace. Take heed if you are purchasing an appliance or service from Lowes. They embody the impersonal large company that can track every dollar, but don't care about their customers or service.
Description of Work: This is my LATEST and LAST experience with Lowes. I ordered 3 exterior doors and one storm door to be installed on my house in prep for winter. When the installers arrived, they were given 1 exterior door that was the wrong size, and not the storm door. They installed what they could, and now I'm left to wait another 2-5 weeks for the rest of the doors. It's snowing about 6 inches right now!

WE WENT IN PERSON TO SEE HIM THE NEXT WEEK AND ASKED TO SEE A COPY OF THE REORDER FORM. HE SHOWED US ONE DATED SOME TIME (DATE WAS UNREADABLE) IN MID-JUNE! HE WOULD NOT GIVE US A COPY OF THE ORDER, BUT SAID HE WOULD CALL THE MANUFACTURER AGAIN AND GET BACK WITH US. THAT WAS 3 WEEKS AGO AND WE ARE STILL WAITING TO HEAR FROM HIM! WE STILL HAVE NO REPLACEMENT 2 1/2 MONTHS AFTER THE FACT! WE ARE PLANNING TO PUT IN 19 REPLACEMENT WINDOWS AND A DOOR IN ANOTHER HOUSE WE OWN. YOU BETTER BELIEVE WE WON'T DEAL WITH THIS LOWE'S AGAIN!

I GO TO THIS STORE FOR THE PRICE AND CONVENIENCE, BUT RARELY CAN WE GET GOOD HELP. IF WE DO GET HELP, IT'S NORMALLY AFTER WAITING A WHILE. WE TEND TO SHOP AT THE BUSIEST TIMES, SO I'M SURE THAT'S PART OF THE PROBLEM. THIS PAST WEEKEND I WAS SHOPPING IN THE GARDEN SECTION ALONG WITH, I THINK, EVERYONE LIVING IN THE NEARBY NEIGHBORHOODS. THE LINES WERE MOVING VERY SLOWLY, AND ONE OF THE CLERKS WAS YELLING ABOUT NEEDING TO LEAVE. APPARENTLY IT WAS EITHER HER QUITTING TIME OR BREAK TIME. SHE CERTAINLY WAS NOT INTERESTED IN STAYING TO HELP CLEAR THE LINES, AND SHE HELD UP HER LINE WHILE SHE WAS ON THE PHONE WITH MANAGEMENT TO TELL THEM SHE WAS LEAVING. MY HUSBAND HAD TO GO BACK LATER, AND MANY OF THE ITEMS WE NEEDED TO PATCH OUR BARE GRASS SPOTS WERE OUT AND HAD NOT BEEN RESTOCKED. UNLESS YOU SHOP DURING THE WEEK, I THINK YOU NEED TO COUNT ON LONG LINES AND LOTS OF EMPTY SHELVES ON THE WEEKENDS.

THE EXPERIENCE WAS JUST WHAT A PERSON MIGHT EXPECT IN A HARDWARE DEPARTMENT OF A LARGE HOME CENTER. I HAD TO ASK FOR HELP AND THE PERSON IN THE HARDWARE SECTION WAS PROMPT AND QUITE HELPFUL.
