Lifestyle Group Residential Remodeling

Ryan was nice, but I thought the 2 day expiry date on their estimate was a bit over the top and quite a pressured sales pitch. This was very much a turn off.

This job involved removing appliances, moving walls, flooring and so on... We used them a couple of years ago so we called them again and we'd do the same in the future. They were great.

We had a fantastic experience with the Lifestyle Group. Ryan seemed truly excited about the project and was helpful in taking our ideas and finding ways to incorporate them into the final project. The showroom setting was a huge time saver during the selection and design phase. It was nice to see samples of cabinets, counters, hardware, tile, etc. all at once instead of driving from store to store trying to find items. All of the workers we very polite and professional and we were never uncomfortable having them in our home(and they were here a lot as this was a pretty big project). The detail work was top notch. When problems came up (the flooring sub did a poor job of sanding the hardwoods and had to re-do it)Lifestyle took initiative to solve the problems as soon as they were aware. They were very considerate of any inconvenience to our family. They were very picky about the quality of the finish work and the project turned our great. We will absolutely use them for future projects.

Their web site communication tool was very handy, we kept in touch by email daily. Nice people, family owned company. Feel we got what we paid for, which is nice.

We were impressed by the company, but their price was much higher than others we contacted. They did provide us ideas for a unique solution using ductless heating/cooling system. We ultimately did use this system and are pleased with it. We went with another contractor who had experience renovating rooms into the purpose we had in mind. However, although Lifestyle's estimate was much higher, they did provide us with ideas on how best to approach the project. I would consider them if I was adding on an addition such as a family room.

Ryan Horen was courteous and knowledgeable (director of sales). The carpenters were on time and did an excellent job. They cleaned the work areas before leaving at the end of the day. My husband, Patrick, and I are very pleased with our porch and LifeStyles workmanship.

They are very professional, dependable, and trustworthy. I am comfortable with them being in my house when I am not there.

He was very good at giving me information for constructing our porch. We are planning to use him when we add windows in the future.

They had to move some of the plumbing. They added a closet and half bath. They did full tile and painting, installed all vents and plumbing and a heated floor. All the crew that came out were particularly nice. I have an eye for detail and they had no issue with that. They were very accommodating to requests. They kept the area clean during and after construction.

My husband called and left a message that we were interested in obtaining an estimate for a screened porch/sunroom. His call was not returned. While attending the Flower and Patio show we mentioned to Becky Badger (the person attending their booth)that we were interested in an estimate, had left a message, however it wasn't returned. She took our name and number and said she would have someone call us. My husband received a call from Ray the following business day, regarding "windows." My husband explained we weren't interested in windows, we were interested in an estimate for a screened porch. Ray seemed uninterested and in a hurry. After my husband provided some prelimiminary information, Ray said he did these jobs all the time and it would be $15,000. Ray was rude and obviously not interested in coming out to take any measurments or discuss the project so an estimate could be provided. I would not use or recommend this company.

Ryan returned my call in about 3 days, and came out within a week to look at the space. He gave me some different information than GA Herzog did. He said with 4 foot kneewalls, the space would only be 5 ft wide. He recommended that the $ would be better spent on finishing the large half of our large basement. I appreciate his feedback, but we really didn't want 4 ft kneewalls. The info about the cost comparison on the basement was good to know.

Lifestyle did a great job. This was a huge project with MANY details. They were very honorable, if they said they would take care of something, then they did. Ryan was our point person and did a great job. The subs they had on the job (with the exception of one, the brickers, which they did their best to remedy) were great (roofers, tillers, HVAC, drywallers, insulation, excavators). Communication was excellent and response was very quick, if we called, we got a response immediately, even if it was just to let us know that they were working on it. They started a website program just as our job was finishing, but we loved it. It allows the customer to see what's new on the job and what's going on next. It saved us from making phone calls b/c we could check the website regarding job progress. We have four small kids and Lifestyle was great with them. My husband and I also work shift work and are sleeping at odd times and they tried to work with us as much as possible. GREAT JOB!!

Having used Lifestyle in the past, I knew exactly what to expect. They were very professional, prompt and were very detail oriented. I contacted Ryan Horen and described our project and our budget. They were quick to do a design and set up our showroom visit for selections. They have expanded the showroom, which made the selection process very easy and enjoyable. Shopping there is like going to a small home improvement store geared towards remodeling! I would never call anyone but lifestyle for a home related job! We are already saving up for our next project. They exceeded our expectations again!

I called 4 companies to get estimates to finish my basement. 3 companies called me back the same day and came out for the estimate within a week. However, it took Lifestyle group 1 week to return my call and they left a message since I wasn't home. I called them a second time and it took another week for them to call me back. By this time I had gotten 3 estimates and chosen the company to finish my basement. The other Angie's List reviews on this company are good, but apparently they are too busy to return all calls promptly.

This is the second major remodel they have done. It was well done and they are great to work with. Would most certainly use them again.

I called this company on November 27th for a quote on a basement finish, left 2 phone numbers with voicemail where I could be reached. Three weeks later, I have yet to hear from them. I had called 3 top rated Angie's List companies the same day. This was the only one that did not return the call.

JOB WAS COMPLETED TIMELY, TRASH AND AREAS WERE CLEANED. WINDOWS ARE WONDERFUL. CREWS HAD TO REBUILD WINDOW FRAMES AND DOOR FRAMES DUE TO ROT. EXCELLENT WORK THROUGHOUT.

LIFESTYLE DID AN EXCELLENT JOB, AND WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH OUR PORCH. SALESMAN VERY POLITE, AND INSTALLERS HERE WHEN STATED, AND VERY HELPFUL.

THE OVERALL QUALITY OF THE WORK AT ITS COMPLETION WAS OUTSTANDING VALIDATING THE INITIAL DESIGN. NUMEROUS ISSUES AROSE THROUGHOUT THE PROJECT AND, FOR THE MOST PART, WERE ADDRESSED EFFECTIVELY BY KIERSTEN. THE PROJECT WAS DEEPLY MARRED BY GREATER THAN 2 MONTHS OF DELAYS FROM THE STATED FINISH DATE IN THE CONTRACT.

I CALLED AND ASKED FOR AN ESTIMATE ABOUT TWO MONTHS AGO. I WAS TOLD A REPRESENTATIVE WOULD CALL ME TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. NONE DID. I CALLED AGAIN 3-4 WEEKS AGO AND, AGAIN, NO ONE CALLED.

WORKING WITH THE LIFESTYLE GROUP WAS GREAT. THEY WERE ON TIME, VERY POLITE AND EASY TO WORK WITH. KIERSTEN KEPT US INFORMED ON TARGET DATES. WE HAD A NEW KITCHEN IN A VERY SHORT TIME FRAME AND WITHIN A BUDGET WE COULD AFFORD. THE ONE YEAR OF INTEREST FREE FINANCING THAT WAS AVAILABLE DURING OUR REMODEL PROJECT WAS A DEFINITE BONUS. EVERYONE WAS PLEASANT FROM START TO FINISH. THEY ARE AN EXCELLENT COMPANY TO WORK WITH. WE WILL DEFINITELY CALL THEM AGAIN FOR OUR NEXT REMODEL PROJECT. WE WISHED WE HAD KNOWN ABOUT THEM A FEW YEARS AGO WHEN WE REMODELED OUR BATHROOM.

MY EXPERIENCE WAS VERY GOOD, ALTHOUGH I DID NOT CHOOSE THEM TO FINISH MY BASEMENT. RYAN CAME TO THE HOUSE AND ASKED MANY QUESTIONS ABOUT WHAT I WANTED IN THE BASEMENT. HE WAS THE ONLY ONE TO POINT OUT SOME VERY VALID CONSIDERATIONS. RYAN GAVE ME A VERY BALLPARK PRICE RANGE BUT REQUIRED AN IN-OFFICE APPOINTMENT TO PROVIDE A DETAILED ESTIMATE. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED BY HIM AND HIS MARKETING COLLATERAL; THEY SURPASSED ANYTHING ELSE I HAD THUS FAR RECEIVED. HOWEVER, I WAS NOT INTERESTED IN CREATING A SHOWPLACE LOWER LEVEL. I DID NOT INTEND TO ENTERTAIN MY GUESTS THERE, BUT WAS FINISHING IT AS A RETREAT FOR MY TEENAGERS AND THEIR FRIENDS. HAD I BEEN CONCERNED ABOUT IMPRESSING MY OWN FRIENDS, I MIGHT HAVE CONSIDERED PAYING LIFESTYLE'S HIGHER PRICE, BUT IT WAS NOT NECESSARY TO ME IN THIS CASE.

NICE, PRICE WASN'T AS GOOD AS OTHERS, BUT OVERALL A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE.

COMPANY IS EXPENSIVE, BUT SEEMED EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THE WORK WE WERE LOOKING FOR A QUOTE ON. WOULD USE IF I CAN NOT FIND LESS EXPENSIVE COMPANY. VERY BUSY COMPANY, AS IT TOOK ABOUT 2 WEEKS FOR THEM TO GET ME IN FOR AN ESTIMATE.

THIS WAS A KNOWLEDGEABLE COMPANY BUT TOO EXPENSIVE FOR MY HOME, AND TOO BUSY AS I NEED TO GET THE WORK DONE SOON.
