We didn't do the bathroom in mind, that he had made plans for, because I found damage in another bathroom, and we had that done by another company. They did a very nice job as far as doing the plans, and being very competent. They did a very nice job. They came up with a pretty good program, but I had 2 or 3 people giving me quotes and designs for that bathroom. Their service was very good, but I was not 100% sold on their design. The price for the big deal was very fair, they put a lot of work into it. Their quality of service was okay, and I was not wonderfully impressed. They were very responsive, and they were here exactly when they said. The person that I talked to was very professional.
Description of Work: We had purchased a big deal for Lifestyle Group Residential Remodeling. The big deal was $60 for a bathroom design with custom design and full set of plans.

It went very well! My husband and I were very impressed with Geoff's professionalism. No high pressure sales tactics. The 3-D drawings were clear and accurate, providing enough detail to invoke some necessary discussion and decision making. Pricing seems fair. They are flexible with us doing some of the work like painting and demolition which will save big bucks.
Description of Work: He came out to my house to discuss remodeling ideas. Took pictures and measurements of the rooms which are included in the remodeling project. Follow up appointment at Lifestyle Group show room. My husband and I left with 3-D drawings of remodeling design and measurements with a quote for the project.

Lifestyle recently did quite a bit of remodeling work for us - see previous review. Of course, after the remodel, we found just one more thing that we wanted to have done. I called Lifestyle just to get the name & number of their plumber to do the installation. Proving what Geoff once told us "No job is too small," Lifestyle sent me various models & prices of toilets and then facilitated the installation. The toilet we ordered is a specialty color and extra tall "comfort height." Once the plumber arrived today, he discovered that due to building conditions in the small bathroom, a non-traditional size of part had been used in the installation of the original toilet. After finding out that our new toilet was non-returnable due to height and color, 2 plumbers went to the hardware store and then spent most of the afternoon in the bathroom and in the crawl space, adapting the space to the new toilet. They successfully installed the new toilet! Even after all their time and effort, Lifestyle charged us no more than the original estimate. They have certainly earned our loyalty.

I did a small consultation with them at their office to discuss what they had to offer. Their pricing was higher than I had estimated. I found a different company within my price range. However, they were very nice to deal with and had great ideas. They had excellent displays in their office of their work.

We were very pleased overall with how the project went. Most of our face-to-face interaction was with Geoff and the Lifestyle employees and contractors. Everyone was professional, friendly, and focused on our satisfaction. The quality of their contractors was outstanding, as was the work of their employees. They were very attentive to cleaning-up after their work each day. They use a slick on-line project management system intended to keep all of the communication and planning centralized for everyone involved. The planning calendar wasn't always kept as current as we would have liked, but overall it was an effective tool. This was our first major remodel and we were looking for a bit more hand-holding and style direction than we got at times. This was mostly due to our inexperience with knowing who to seek advice from. But everything worked out well in the end. Geoff was very good about targeting reasonably-priced options in the planning process. Lifestyle was also very flexible as we added and changed things during the course of the project. Again, we were very pleased with the results and process of this project and will definitely be going back to Lifestyle for our future remodeling needs.
Description of Work: Lifestyle executed the design plan they prepared as part of an Angie's Big Deal purchase. We replaced counters, sinks and faucets in our kitchen and two bathrooms. The counters also wrapped around into our great room and included a built-in dining room buffet counter. We added a back splash to the kitchen as well. We also expanded our kitchen pantry.

The service was good, but the price was out of my budget, so I have not used them. They were very good at coming out, very prompt, and I am really satisfied with the service that I got from them. They called and showed up on time when they said they would. They were here within the week, which was fine and so I am pleased with the service that I got from them. The interaction was very cordial, and very good. They were very polite, and they have a nice show room that they invited me to see. The plans were just fine. They were outside of my budget to do the remodeling.

The plans we purchased were outstanding. Lifestyle listened to what we wanted done and nailed it on the pans. I feel the price for the plans were reasonable, but the quote of 31K for a "mid-level" bath remodel was way too high. We were not quoted granite or any high-end stone and we did not plan to move plumbing or anything! If you just need plans, they are worth it.

It was really good. He came on time. He was very pleasant. He really welcomed me through what I had in mind in planning for remodelling my kitchen. He walked me through what I like and dislike about my current kitchen and drew up a floor plan. A week later I went to his office and collected the floor plan. He gave me a price in doing the remodelling as well but I don't feel pressured at all.

Goeff was very helpful and professional. He provided an estimate that was very much in line with our budget and needs. The design was high-quality and well-received. We talked over the time frame for a remodel and the process involved. He gave me examples of the options that would be available and their cost. A good experience!
Description of Work: Provider came to my home and listened to my wants and needs for a kitchen remodel. He also took measurements and photos of my kitchen and answered my questions. I purchased an Angie's List deal for a custom kitchen design with measurements and full set of plans. I was very pleased with my entire experience with The Lifestyle Group staff. Becky was quick to respond to my initial questions and Geoff was extremely accomodating and helpful. I got exactly what I expected and paid for. I enjoyed the showroom at the offices of The Lifestyle Group and Geoff was again very knowledgeable, helpful, and willing to work with us to get exactly what we wanted.

It went well. They came over as scheduled and then we had a second appointment where they actually showed us the design and went over what the cost would be to do the work with them. It turned out that it was a fair amount more than what we're willing to spend right now. I checked it with someone else as well and the pricing is inline. We may hold off for a year now. I will probably reach back out to them. They were very professional and on top of what they were doing. So it just came down to realization of the actual cost of what it was going to be overall. There were no additional charges beyond the big deal amount. They were very professional and very thorough. The price for big deal itself was cheap, he wasn't making any money on that.

While this is another review submitted more than a year after our visit to the home, we really like this member and would hope to have the opportunity to work with them someday when they are ready. Our last communication was an email exchange dated 3/29/13 in which the member asked about our schedule and workload if they were to sign a contract to move forward. That was the last formal contact we had. If anything, this report is a great example of the fact that we are not a high pressure company. We understand that people will take the information we provide and seek our help when they are ready. We also respect the fact that not everyone is ready to move forward with a project immediately after we give them the design and price information. It is not uncommon that a member calls us a year or two later and says, "We are ready to do our project!" Actually, this member did seek our feedback on a couple of design details almost a year ago on 3/26/13 and we replied with an email on 3/27/13 with answers to those questions. We aren't sure the source of a couple of the grades, but this member is really nice and we'd love to be their remodeling partner in the future!

My first meeting was postponed due to a conflict of the owner with a child's sporting event. I can understand that. Second appointment went as planned in my home. They actually looked at 2.5 baths and the kitchen. This was following with a showroom meeting that issued general quotes and recommendations for remodeling, but no specific plans. I was disappointed and told upon inquiry that I had "traded" the specific plans for the look at all baths and the kitchen. All I left with was a general quote for remodeling, "if I should ever what to proceed." The persons I met were "nice" and "professional." The product...not so much. These offers from companies and through Angie's List are misleading and worthless. They are just lead attractors for companies. Useless and waste of valuable time.

There are times throughout the year when we see a large number of reports accumulate in a short amount of time. Angie’s List gets into what we call affectionately refer to as “report drive” mode on occasion, whether they actively seek as many reports from members as they can possibly generate. In these times, we find most of the reports generated are actually from members where it has been at least 1 year and even as many as 2 years since we have had interaction with that member. We refer to these as “old reports” within our company. These aren’t members who felt strongly enough one way or another at the time of our interaction to go and post a positive or negative report, but when someone from Angie’s List calls them or emails them a special offer a year or more later, they decide to review our interaction from many months or years prior. In almost every one of these cases, the member didn’t use our company for their project and they don’t always retain a solid handle on the details of our interaction because of the amount of time that has passed. In some cases, the members have even confused our company with interactions they have had with other service providers, so we feel the need to reply to all of these reports to share our side of each interaction. This particular report is one of those submitted by the member literally a full year after our meeting at his home. It is very important for you to understand as a prospective client reading this that we will remember coming to your home and the details of the visit. We are a larger remodeling company in terms of the Central Indiana marketplace, but in reality we are still a small business and we pride ourselves on client relationships. We track all communications via a client management system and we keep everything for later reference. So, with that said, we clearly remember the details with this member. Here was the situation. He did indeed purchase a Big Deal offer for a kitchen and a bathroom. He purchased it prior to ever talking to us and asking us whether he needed to purchase it. He just bought it online through the Angie's List website and an email was sent to us from Angie's List, so we call the client and set up our 2 visits as we always do. The first visit is at the home and the second is at our office. We've done it this way for years and we find once our clients go through the process, they find it very helpful in terms of being completely educated on the costs and process of doing a remodeling project. When we did go to the home, he didn't show us only the kitchen and one bathroom (as he had purchased), but he asked us to look at 3 bathrooms and the kitchen. Did we say, "No, we are sorry you only bought a kitchen and a bathroom?" Absolutely not, we looked at all 4 spaces as he asked. BUT, here's the thing... he wasn't changing any design element in any of the spaces. NOTHING was moving in the kitchen. He wasn't even changing the cabinets - they were staying in place. NOTHING was moving in any of the 3 bathrooms, either. All cabinets were staying in place. Everything was staying in the same exact spot. So, we didn't go into this thinking we will trade you 4 estimates for 2 designs. We simply acknowledged what everyone reading this can easily understand. There was nothing to draw! If he walked into his kitchen or any of the 3 bathrooms and looked at them, he would see exactly the same design he wanted us to draw. He just wanted new countertops, new backsplash tile, new floor tile, and new shower doors. So, we spent hours pricing various options in all of the requested spaces. We priced options in the kitchen. We priced options in all 3 bathrooms. And, when he came in, we spent an hour reviewing each of the 4 spaces and reviewing pictures of many other projects we have completed over the years showing different countertops and different shower options and different shower doors. When he left our office after the 2nd visit, he had a tremendous amount of information. He had all of our expertise. He had cost options at different price points. Yet, he shares in his report that he is upset that we were just sucking him into some lead generation process. What a ridiculous thing to say. We can only assume that he would not have felt that way if we had taken several more hours to give him a black and white 3 dimensional drawing of the kitchen and 3 bathrooms he walks into every day. Please allow us to briefly elaborate on our sales process because it is very important that you understand our approach. We don't just want leads. We want to earn remodeling clients. So, in order to earn your business, we work very hard to provide helpful information to potential clients who want a reputable remodeling partner they can trust. We can purchase large numbers of leads through the use of Google Adwords or high pressure sales people that get in the faces of consumers in the aisles of home shows. That is NOT our company! For this member, we dedicated about 8 hours of our time between the first visit, second visit and our estimating time on this project. That works out to our earning about $16.00/hour to help this member. The point of sharing that... we aren't feeding our families with these Big Deals, especially when Angie's List takes their great big cut of the fee. The reality is we won't even earn minimum wage for the time we spent to help this member understand costs for his projects. What these Big Deals and Storefront offers do provide is an opportunity to help people that might become clients someday. That is an investment of our time that we are very willing to make. As a company, we want to find the best ways to identify and help potential clients with the HOPE that if we are helpful and competent, they will trust us enough to partner with them on their project. Now, we don't sell every project, but we sell more than our share and we sincerely try to help every person we interact with. If you call us, we will try to help you... even if it is a simple phone conversation giving you a ballpark idea of potential project cost - but we work from the term reasonable... and it simply isn't reasonable to spend time redrawing a space that isn't changing. However, it was reasonable to help in other ways by providing cost options for all of the various phases of the 4 different projects. In the end, we continue to struggle with the fact that the member didn’t complain at the time of our interaction about not getting drawings, yet we see it pop up in a report a year later. We weren't able to help this member, but maybe we can help you. If you have a question about this report or any other report, don't hesitate to ask. We are not perfect, but we do our best to run a good business and we will deliver a wonderful end product.

We appreciate the compliment that the member would use us. Just a quick clarification, these designs take so long to complete that we only begin with one version based on our first visit at the home with a client. That is based on the purchase of one kitchen design by the client. If they wish to purchase more designs, we would be happy to oblige and create additional options as purchased. Most people only purchase one kitchen design for $75. In this normal approach, if a client wishes to move forward with us as the partner to complete a project, we are happy to make as many revisions as necessary to make everything exactly as they want it. There are always some changes that get made as a client has a chance to react to what we have designed for the space, but our initial goal is to create a vision for what the space can be based on what the client tells us is most important to them... and to put a project price to that design so the client can consider the cost versus value of the various elements of the project. We hope this explanation is helpful.

We purchased a Big Deal to have an estimate for a kitchen remodeling done. Geoff was prompt and professional. Geoff was very personable and appeared to be quite knowledgeable. He listened and asked good questions. His demeanor and candor was such that we felt comfortable requesting that he add estimates to have work done on 2 of our bathrooms which he agreed to do. Within a reasonable amount of time, we met with Geoff at his business and reviewed the drawings and estimates of the kitchen and bathrooms. He noted that his showroom had a variety of products in styles and price ranges from which we could pick. We liked that all of our choices were in one location, and we didn?t have to drive around town as we did with our previous contractor. Geoff continued to appear very knowledgeable and helpful in suggesting what would work for our projects, but not pushy. We decided to go with Lifestyle for a complete tear-out and rebuild on one bath and a fix-up on the other bath, but to defer the kitchen plans. There was what seemed to be a lengthy exchange with establishing the contract. Some of this was waiting for Geoff. Then we responded with the needs we felt important, esp. after a prior negative experience with another contractor. We established that there were to be no workers in the home while we were out of town, and that if there was a day when the workers were not coming, we should be contacted. This was because we had to round up 2 cats and put them in a closed room. Lifestyle scheduled our work, and we were directed to a website which had a calendar of all events including details of the work and provided communication exchange with Kiersten, the COO, who would now be our contact. The finished results do look good for the most part. We are pleased with the quality of the pieces we picked: the tiles, the cabinets, the counters, the handles. However, if you look closely in one bathroom, you will see a line of paint going down the tile on each side of the shower, that the grout is messy on one side where it meets the ceiling, that the ceiling has some pimples. In the other bathroom, we had to ask to have caulk put in between the end of the counter and the wall where there was a little open space. Communication should have been easy with the calendar in place and the detailed contract. However, there were a number of frustrations. On the day when we were leaving town, a truck pulled up with a workman from Lifestyle. The calendar clearly showed that it was a no work day. Fortunately we were still home and able to handle the situation, but it took time from the schedule which we didn?t have. Our big concern has been that our cats normally roam the house. During our last remodeling, one of them got too curious and ended up trapped in the attic for 3 days before being found. All of this had been explained to Lifestyle. It was not easy putting them in a closed room every morning, which is why we requested that we be informed if no one was coming that day. There were a few days when it was obvious that no one came, but we were never notified beforehand. There was a problem with the water temperature soon after they started. When we were showering or running water in the sink, the water temperature was not getting hot. The cold was not staying cold. When we asked, Kiersten explained that, ?the temporary plug is missing from the new shower valve we installed.? They fixed it. Our project was delayed a little when they ran short of tile and also to order the shower door. I had to ask about the paint choices for the bathroom. They had not been given. Kiersten emailed back asking if I needed a paint chart, saying that they use Porter Paints. She offered to have the guys leave us a chart. But they did not, and I went to Porter Paints to get my own paint chips. When it seemed that we were done, Kiersten indicated that they were wrapping it up. But there were no drawer/cabinet pulls installed. It appeared that they had not been ordered yet, or else they had been ordered late and she had forgotten that they needed to be installed. Finally, time to collect the last payment. It should have been simple. They had our address. An invoice could have been sent. My husband receives a phone call saying that they had sent emails requesting payment and there had been no response. I had received numerous emails from Lifestyle during the project, but none since. Both of us carefully checked my email account, looked through all of the spam records. No evidence of any emails from Lifestyle. This was very confusing. Lifestyle was definitely better than the last contractor we used, but very disappointing with the communication issues and sloppy on details.

One thing you will find about our company is that we admit when we make a mistake. While most clients are quite reasonable, very kind and easy to deal with, some people are rather difficult to interact with. This member fits that category, but they are 100% correct... we did go to their home on a day when they asked us not to. It was a complete accident. The response was a bit over the top... you would have thought the world had ended as our staff got screamed at. I've never understood clients screaming at the guys working in their home, but that is another topic. We apologized profusely, but to no avail. You see, our schedule is constantly full of moving parts and we are used to working in your homes when nobody is home. Maybe the family situation is 2 working parents. Maybe it is a Mom coming and going throughout the day or a Dad that works nights and is home on occasion throughout the day. The one constant is that we put a lockbox on the door (like a realtor lockbox) and we come and go on a daily basis remodeling your spaces. We employ people we can put in your home at any time, especially when you aren't there. Trust is a huge issue. In this particular situation, the client had asked us at the time of contract signing not to come on a particular day a couple months later. We made note of it... and did exactly what we were asked not to do, we showed up to work. Completely an accident and we promptly left as requested and apologized all over ourselves. With regard to the cats, we told this member time and again it was okay to let the cats out. They chose not to and that was their prerogative. Every day we work in the homes of people with dogs and cats and I'm sure many other animals (even a spider once and more than once a snake). We've never lost a pet yet and we are a pet friendly company. They don't bother us at all... okay maybe the snakes and spiders are a little creepy, but not the dogs and cats! This family literally put signs on the door of the cat room saying "Do Not Enter" and it was very odd... the first time someone had done this is almost 3,000 projects we have completed. We alerted them to the days we would not be there so they could leave the cats out to roam if we weren't at the home on a given day, but it seems from the comments our efforts fell short in the cat management department. With regard to the alleged sloppiness and final payment, we would simply tell you that we did a walk through at the end of this project and there was one item on this list. One. And, it happened to be the backordered door hardware, which arrived to us the first work day after our walk through. Never a mention of grout or paint or anything of that nature has been shared with us to this day or we would have gladly run out and fixed it. We would still be happy to fix it. That's an easy fix and something they obviously didn't notice until after we were gone. Shower doors are special order to make sure they fit properly so the client knew from the beginning we would be waiting on that, but they must have forgotten at the time of the report submission. They did mention the caulk at the countertop during the project and we did revisit that activity to make them happy. Again, not a big deal to fix at all. As I said at the beginning, perfection can be strived for, but is difficult to attain. We will keep trying though! It is very, very rare that our quality of work is ever questioned... and if we do make a mistake, we will ALWAYS make it right. That is why families use our company once - and then use us again and again. As I write this, we are currently in process on a remodeling project that is "at least" our 2nd project for 4 different families. That is pretty cool to be called back again and again because of the trust people have in us. Interestingly enough, the day of the walk through the client owed us a progress payment due a couple weeks prior, so we were at the end of the work and had a substantial amount of money still owed. I told them we expected the knobs to the vanity cabinet any day and we would run out to install them. He was writing us a check for the amount owed, but asked to hold $1,000 from the final payment until those few $5 knobs were installed. We never said a word. We politely agreed and figured they would provide the final payment promptly like all clients do as we wrap up any final open items that might be completed. This member wasn't home when we went to install the knobs. No big deal. They didn't leave the final check as expected. Again, no big deal at all. So, after a week we followed up. No response. Then, another week goes by and we place a phone call. No response. Another couple weeks, so another email. Now we are more than a month out from installing the knobs. They had the final payment amount the entire time... it just seemed like they weren't in a hurry to pay. We didn't make a big deal about it until it was getting to the point of our having to decide whether we were going to place a lien on the home. We politely told the client we have never done this in 15 years and we never had to chase a payment either. They were offended. At that point, you'll have to forgive us as we were a bit less concerned about their feelings. They were aware of the final payment amount from the day of the walk through. The final amount was posted on our communication system. It was also in our original contract. To end on a positive note, the client did say we were better than their prior contractor... which we would hope they would say since we fixed things their previous contractor screwed up while we were there working on our project.

It went very well. Geoff was very helpful with his suggestions. It was informative and fun discussing my options. We subsequently met and went over the plans with pricing. It's now in my court, but I will definitely have Geoff and the Lifestyle Group do my kitchen remodeling. Thank you.

I bought the special coupon for the kitchen design for help with my teeny tiny kitchen in our 1920's home. With cabinets breaking down from age, an upgrade was necessary, but we wanted help to maximize the functionality of the space, since we had few options to enlarge (other than removing a bathroom, which we ultimately decided against), I wanted help from an expert. During our first meeting, I was impressed with the contractor. He was friendly and professional and when I told him specifically that I needed a creative solution for our very tight u-shaped kitchen, he had great ideas. When he left, I was excited to see what he would come up with. Unfortunately, when we met to look over the plans, I was extremely disappointed. The design on paper had none of the ideas we talked about at my house. Instead, it was a very grand, less functional version of the kitchen we are unhappy with. It was indeed beautiful--and I want beautiful--but goal of better functionality was lost. At some point, he (or probably, his designer) had been unable to break design maxims, like centering the sink at the window. In our kitchen placing the sink offset would allow for an additional large base cabinet, worth its weight in kitchen-aid appliances in my kitchen. He admitted considerable debate among his design team about our kitchen and he offered to do the designs again until I was happy. Though he said his ultimate goal was customer satisfaction, he didn't listened to what I wanted, instead telling me that my ideas were 'hilljack'. I chose another contractor.

We wanted to begin by acknowledging the thoughtful review this member provided. This member's review was honest and essentially accurate from her perspective as the client. We politely disagree with her position, but completely respect her opinion. It's funny because I told her when she came in and we were in the midst of reviewing the design that I could sense her frustration. She said she expected something more creative. My reply was that we couldn't change the constraints of her space. She referenced in her report that we spent hours discussing this as a design team. Boy, that sure is the truth... I wish so much that we could attach pictures of the space we were working with, along with our design. It would add so much clarity when you read the comments. At one point in the conversation, I actually said to her "well, since we are probably going to be responding to a negative Angie's List report anyway, lets just go ahead and have the direct conversation here in person." And, we did have a polite and direct exchange of ideas... I explained to her that when we working with a teeny tiny kitchen as she described (and it definitely was)... and when that teeny tiny space included a bathroom and literally 4 doorways and 3 windows... we had a challenge on our hands. I then politely explained that there was only 1 place that the refrigerator could fit in the entire kitchen due to the shortage of wall space for cabinets and the existence of all of the openings in the form of doors and windows. And, I explained further that when she requested that a kitchen cabinet be eliminated so she could create storage access from a stairway on the backside of a kitchen wall, it reduced our design options to almost zero. In this report, she references gaining a large base cabinet from another contractor. In the most polite way, this was physically impossible. Her kitchen is 8'7" wide. Measure that out in your home. It's the size of a hall bathroom in many production homes today. By the time we placed a cabinet on each side of the sink, we are left with room for a single sink base cabinet and 6" leftover to be used at our discretion. The smallest cabinet made is 9", so there wasn't room for any new cabinet, let alone a large base cabinet. Given this situation, she is correct that we did not stray from our "design maxims" and we centered the sink on the window because we believed in our design experience it was the right thing to do "as a starting point". As she acknowledged, we did share with her that we would alter that design as many times as she wanted to try and make her happy. And, that offer was sincere. Where we did not agree was when she requested that we build a wall to alter the bathroom that would land on the trim that separated each sash of a twin window unit. We weren't trying to be rude in any way, and we have done many, many kitchens small in size where creativity was required, but there is a right way to do things and a wrong way. We were not willing to build a wall that lands in the middle of the window unit. In our minds, that isn't creativity. It is simply improper. Sometimes, we reply to these reports to attempt to help people understand the process on the design side. We are very proud that we have won Best Kitchen Remodeling Design Awards for projects under $40,000 about 7 times over the years. That indicates that we can do a lot of fun things to make a space special without breaking the bank. But, the reality is that sometimes we have to say no to something requested of us to be done. Just because another contractor says yes doesn't make it right or appropriate. It could simply be that the other contractor had no qualms about doing something terribly wrong. We thank the member for the opportunity, sincerely apologize for not meeting her expectations, and wish her the best of luck with her project.

I gave them a B grade because the day of our appointment the person with our plans was out of town so we had to use a set hastily emailed and printed out. Otherwise they made a good plan; we didn't have the renovation done because it was out of our price range.
Description of Work: They evaluated our master bathroom for renovation and created a design and proposal. Price was $60.

To be very honest, we are confused by this report. This is another example of a report submitted a year and a half after our last actual contact with the member, so sometimes the details get confused, but here is what we have in our client management system. We were scheduled to have our 2nd visit at the office on October 18th of 2012. One of our owners, Geoff Horen, who happens to be the gentleman that visited this member, also sits on the Board of Contractors for the City of Indianapolis. (If we may digress for a moment, we think it is an honor to have the Mayor of Indianapolis appoint Geoff to a Board such as this, so we hope you find that as a positive aspect of The Lifestyle Group that Geoff has been repeatedly requested for this role. For what it is worth, Geoff also is a past President of both the Indianapolis Remodelors Council and the Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis... and he remains an active member of both of these Boards... so he is an active leader in the construction industry that volunteers his time for these various community associations.) Sorry about that - back to this issue raised by this member. The notes in our client system indicate that Becky called this client a week before the scheduled second meeting on 10/11/12 at 4:17pm and asked if we could possibly move our previously scheduled second visit to another time because of an unexpected Indianapolis Board of Contractors meeting that Geoff was requested to be at. The client was offered various times in that conversation and accepted a meeting change to 10/19/12 at 2pm. We are sorry, but we are not aware of her reference to an out of town person or something being hastily printed. We do have notes of a nice visit with nice people and a possibility of the client selecting us based on our assessment from the visit. We also followed up with revised drawings that were sent to the client based on an email exchange with the client a week later on 10/25/12 at 3:30pm and 4:02pm. We had initially completed 2 different designs for the client and sent revisions for one they were interested in via email. We aren't sure any of this response means anything, other than the fact that we track everything in great detail, we are active volunteers in the leadership of our industry... and this report was from visits that took place a very long time ago. These very old reports seems to be a common occurrence lately through Angie's List, so we are making great use of our client management system and definitely validating our efforts to track communication in great detail so we can refer back to the notes when reports like this arise years later. In the end, we are very happy the member liked what we designed for their bathroom space.

We did not end up using it because we could not make our schedules work. Communication was fine but I would have liked to get the work done.

Just a brief comment on this report... we actually had 1st and 2nd visits scheduled with this member, but the member had schedule conflicts and needed to reschedule. That was no problem on our end, so Becky worked with the member to find dates that worked. Finding a date for the first visit was no problem, but the member only had 2 days of the week and certain times within those days that the second visit could take place. Given those days and times, our first opening that fit his particular schedule for the second visit was March 10th (or about a month out from the time of the call and discussion). We are really sorry we couldn't make something work in the calendar of the member. It happens sometimes and we do our best to accommodate, but it doesn't always work out. We wish this member the best with their project.

One person came out and did some measuring. They had the design ready for us in about one week. We then went to their store and they provided us with the plans and the estimate. They did a nice job with the design.
Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal for a complete custom kitchen design plan.
