Did not preform service and wasted my time.

I needed emergency service because I could not shut off the water from coming out of my shower due to a broken handle. After calling several providers who did not have same day scheduling availability, I got a hold of Shawn Corey from LD Smith Plumbing and he agreed to come out same day. He was courteous and was able to fix the problem quickly. He even offered me a discount because I am an Angie's List member. I was very satisfied with the professionalism of the service.

They are truly service without the gimmicks!!! Mark was the plumbers name. He was extremely professional and polite. He explained everything that was wrong in understandable terms. We had a broken flange in our half bath downstairs that we found in our process of renovating the restroom. He had to remove the tee in the basement and install a new flange, reset toilet with new bolts and wax rings. They provide a 1yr warranty, which gives me peace of mind of the quality provided. Extremely helpful, I asked him questions about concerns about my other two restrooms, he explained the noise. Turns out the sound we hear is due to pipes in the wall not properly tied down. A noise we will be ok with. I also learned from him not to use those tablets in the tank because they deteriorate the rings! The knowledge he shared is much appreciated! He performed his work in a very clean way. I don't even know if he made a mess because he even cleaned up some paint smears I had accidently made...so he left my bathroom floor cleaner then he found it! I'm jubilant with the service provided, and the quality was excellent! Thank you for your service. If I need a plumber in the future, I know I will call them!

They did a fine job, were on time, were very professional, pleasant to work with and 8 months later every thing is still performing beautifully.

I worked with two of their plumbers, both very knowledgable and hard working. They removed old gas pipe in the basement, replaced it with a system having separate shutoff valves for the pipes to stove, furnace and water heater. Also removed old pipe no longer connected to anything. Installed a high end toilet.

Mark snaked a camera into our sewer line to inspect for any blockages. We had been having problems with one of our toilets getting stopped up all the time. Gave us some options to consider to remedy our problem. Will discuss with my wife on which way to go. Definitely would use them again. Mark was great at explaining everything and we felt very comfortable with his knowledge of our situation.

The office person was courteous and professional. She sent a technician to my commercial building the same day I called. They did the work the next day. I was out of town, but the technician, Shawn, kept me informed every step of the way. He was very knowledgable and professional, and went above and beyond to do the job right. Price included clearing drains in both directions. The clean-out comes with a one-year warranty. I will use them again.

Service guy Terry came out to look at our pipes that had been clogged in the kitchen sink for days. He was able to help diagnose the problem, fix it, and be on his way in an appropriate amount of time. Very very polite and detailed as well. Great team they have over there and will use them again if something comes up.

Serviceman helped us find a faucet similar to the one being replaced which was no longer available. The process went smoothly and we are pleased with the replacement faucet.

I found them on Angie's List. I used them for work. I used them twice, and the same plumber came both times. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and informative, and I would recommend the company. He gave me the most cost effective way to do it, and he did it very quickly. His cost was very reasonable. I was very impressed both times. He came at the time they said he would. I don't have anything bad to say about the service.

Began with a history of the washer back-draining into a laundry tub next to it. Then last week the floor by the washer was wet. Called L. D. Smith Plumbing to come out and see what was happening. He tried to go through pipes to clear out blockage and found that to be very difficult due to the amount of rust from the original pipes in the house. This problem, by the way, has been an issue for quite a while, and every other plumber who came would tell me they "snaked" it...and it still would back up. One plumber even took out the dry wall and never mentioned replacing those old pipes. We repaired all that mess only once again to go through the same old same old. Mark, from L. D. Smith Plumbing, recommended taking out the dry wall and replacing those old pipes with pvc pipes and also install new stops and to replace drains in laundry room and in kitchen. He worked all afternoon (11:45-5:45) on Friday, November 28th and only charged $195. He left an estimate for correcting the problem, and the estimate was in three parts: we could do all three or any one of them to help alleviate the issue. We decided to do all three steps at one time. He came back Monday and worked from 8:45-5:30 Monday. He stayed and worked constantly, determined to do a good job and a thorough job.

This was a home warranty claim so bear that in mind regarding the price paid, which was my deductible. I was very impressed with the tech who arrived at my home. He was very thorough in troubleshooting the problem and went above and beyond inspecting my septic tank and identifying that as the root cause. A lower quality contractor probably would have cleared the clog, taken the warranty company payment, and moved on. As I've found out with other issues, the home warranty companies usually send out B-players, but I was pleasantly surprised when I looked up LD Smith and saw their high rating. Everything I experienced justified that rating. It is well deserved and I would consider LD Smith for future plumbing needs.

Shawn from L.D. Smith did a great job, very professional, polite, and punctual. I needed emergency service on the kitchen sink that would not drain at 6:30 pm on a Saturday evening. My previous (different) plumbing service refused to come after hours for a kitchen drain, so I checked Angie's List and found that L. D. Smith offered emergency service. I called their office number and Shawn answered the phone himself. He said he had a couple of jobs still to complete, but that he would be at my house by 9 pm that evening. At 9 pm, Shawn arrived and by 10 pm work was complete life at home was back to normal! I highly recommend L. D. Smith for their professionalism and responsiveness.

Walking in to our garage on Sunday morning (of course), we found a stream of water flowing across the floor. Our hot water heater was leaking. I called LD Smith on Sunday afternoon to leave a message to get scheduled on Monday. I was pleasantly surprised when Terry called me back (very quickly). We arranged for a service appointment on Monday. Shawn arrived on time on Monday morning -- and did a great job! He was done quickly and cleaned up really well. They even offer a coupon for Angie's List members. It was really a very painless experience. Highly recommend!

LD Smith was very responsive when I called to request a service call. They scheduled a plumber to come to our house the next day. The plumber who came was very professional. He thoroughly inspected all of the water pipes in the area of the stain and concluded that there were no leaks. While he was performing the inspection, he identifited an improperly sealed hvac duct, missing foundation insulation, and a hole in an exterior wall. He reported all of these items to me so we could get them repaired. It turned out the mositure which caused the stain resulted from water condensing on the faulty hvac duct due to the missing insulation, so he enabled us to solve the problem!

Terry arrived on time, checked the old battery to make sure it needed to be replaced, and it did. He prepared the new battery in his truck to prevent any sulfuric acid spills in the basement. After he installed the new battery he cleaned up all the existing wires and the area around the battery and sump. He made sure that the system was working properly before leaving. I plan to call on LD Smith for my next plumbing job.

People answering the phone should be a little more knowledgeable and be more upfront about what they can and cannot do and what the prices might be instead of saying they don't know and it depends on when the service tech takse a look. This is fine for a final price, but it would be nice to get some ranges of prices after finding out more about the problem. That way, I don't feel like I wasted their or my time and $67 service call only to find out their exorbitant cleaning fee.

problem occurred on Sunday (of course). Called LD Smith Plumbing, Lance called back - scheduled for first thing monday. Justin arrived ontime and prepared. after reviewing the problem, he loaded the router machine next to access point in the basement and got it cranking. Our line goes pretty far - under the street to the city lateral (about 100 feet). The router did a quick job thru the roots. After the routing was accomplished, he inspected the drain with camera and showed me what condition my pipe was in. Justin was on time, courteous with all my questions, efficient and knew exactly how to fix my sewer problem. Thanks...

I had problems in my bathroom and when I called he said it'd be $67 to do an estimate. He came out and said he was going to charge me $302 to fix the shower and $250 to fix the toilet. All he put down for the estimate was 1 sentence for each one but it was what I already knew was wrong. I had another service provider come out and find out it was just my water valve being turned off and they didn't charge me at all to fix it.

It went fine, as expected. It was a big deal Angie's List price.

Our water heater ruptured. Of course, late at night. We called LD Smith and the plumber on call was very courteous and helpful and gave us detailed instruction on how to turn off the water heater so that it would be safe to wait until morning for repair. In the morning company sent out a technician within 4 hours of our call. Since our water heater sat on a platform, he needed to call in extra help to move out the ruptured heater and move in the new one. John and Mark were very careful of our property. They were polite, friendly and competent. The price was fair and they gave us the advertised $100 discount.

The office responded per my instructions and called me within a day on my cell phone. We were able to arrange the inspection for the next day during a timeframe that worked for my schedule. Justin arrived as scheduled. After a quick exterior walk around he confirmed that I do not have an exterior clean-out. He proceeded with bringing the equipment into the house via the garage and to the basement. He was very careful not to hit anything with the equipment. He first ran the auger to clean and was able to tell that it went through a few roots but nothing major. He then ran the video camera and invited me to view the inspection. I got good news....for a 60's vintage tile pipe it is in excellent condition. Yeah! No backhoes --- at least not in the near future. I really appreciated that the service I received was prompt, thorough and very professional. I will be calling on LD Smith for any future plumbing needs.

We had already replaced the flapper and the flush valve, but apparently we were leaking under the fill valve and the wax seal failed. Terry replaced all parts inside and under the toilet, and reseated it. He could not have been more polite and informative, but I was stunned at the price. Since we had a severe leak going through to our basement ceiling, we elected not to bargain shop, but just get it repaired.
