I was very impressed with all aspects of this company. I had three quotes on the job and they were significantly more cost effective. Were very professional the through the entire process. I will use LD Smith anytime I need plumbing work in the future.

They repaired a clogged sink and a leaky sink. The service tech was nice and got the inside tasks done in hardly any time. The outside drain was not able to be completed to our satisfaction; they tried two different snakes to unclog the drain without any luck. They broke part of the drain cover in the process and we are still trying to get the right size part from them...

This is a combined review for when LD Smith replaced my toilet a few months ago and the plumbing work that they did for me today for my new sink. Lance was the one who came out to replace my toilet and Mark was the one who came out today. They are absolutely wonderful to work with, extremely responsive, on time, professional, honest and just did quality work which they back up with a one year warranty. Both times they exceeded my expectations and I will continue to call them whenever i need some plumbing work done.

closing on a forclosed house and needed plumbing taken care of because I was moving in. I schedule them to come out a week in advance. I moved into the home and they did not show for the time that was agreed upon. When I called them the person who answered the phone said she must have of forgotten to schedule it but she had a record of talking to me. She said that there was nothing they could do that day and said she would see about scheduling another day. Gratefully my stepdad was able to get the toilet working since I had already moved in. The person on the phone was not apologetic, I declined them coming another day and found a different plumber that I am very happy with. I asked to have the owner call, but never received a call.

My water heater started leaking and wouldn’t fire up late on a Thursday night. I contacted 14 different companies off Angies list first thing Friday morning since I wasn’t going to wait until Monday. Only 8 returned my call, 2 wanted to do estimate first of which 1 wanted to charge me $85 just for coming out. Unfortunately my water heater has a power vent and water softener needed moved so the estimates were high. I went with L.D. Smith which was one of the lower offers and I am glad I did. The owner of the company actually came out to do the job and you couldn’t have asked for a better install. Everything was explained, mats were put down so my floor wouldn’t get wet or scratched and he got it done very quickly and completely cleaned everything up. Lance did a great job so don’t forget about the smaller local companies. I will definitely call this company again for more business.

Everything was absolutely perfect. Very pleased with the estimate and subsequently the service. The 10% senior discount was handled with only one mention on our part. Super satisfied with this vendor.

I hardly write reviews but LD SMITH deserves one. Lance - was very straightforward and gave the estimate which almost half of the quoted for "respected" franchisees. Very punctual - came very next day after giving estimate. BOTTOM LINE : STAY AWAY from the national franchisees - and try to find locally owned and operated companies. Their pricing are very reasonable and they try to do the best as they want to build loyal and satisfied customer base unlike the franchisees who care about nothing but money. THANKS LANCE :)

Mark showed up on time and was very courteous. He found the issue and gave us a quote before starting any work. Once we accepted it, he went to work clearing the clog. After he was finished he used a camera to make sure everything was clear all the way to the main sewer line.

Best $99 I ever spent! We are in the process of purchasing a Broad Ripple home and the inspection showed the sewer line needed to be repaired and the seller is now going to contribute close to $4,000 to repair the lines. Something I would have been stuck with if I did not use this service. The technician was very prompt, knowledgeable and gave me all of the information I needed.

When I called him about fixing he was rude and stated I had no proof he cut through the wire. He then told me how far it was cut into and insulation was around it so I should be fine.

Great. The Plumber that performed the work was punctual and very professional. He allowed us to observe the visual that the camera provided. Excellent job!

L.D. Smith was responsive, professional, and seemed very experienced. Jennifer, who answered my calls was really on top of things, and even reminded us of coupons they had available. We appreciated that, since we have been in a panic with a clogged drain for several days as we worked with a drain company we had called first to get it resolved. We should have called LD Smith to begin with, and will next time, now that we know better. They have the equipment, including good cameras, to tell you what's what. Shawn came out the same day, and advised us of what he was seeing on the camera, and offered some good advise. We really appreciate the prompt service, and fortunately, the line isn't bad enough to replace right now (every homeowner's nightmare) but when the time comes, we will call LD Smith. We will get a quote for adding an exterior clean-out, and will have to see if we choose that, because it requires an 8 foot long by very deep trench to install, and typically this might better be done when a new sewer line gets installed. Terry arrived early in the appointment window and we reviewed all work to be done and cost. He worked steadily and checked each result to make sure the lines were clear and draining well I have used LDSmith for other plumbing work at my home and highly recommend them

We feel the price was gouging. It was 600.00 for 3 hours work. which includes travel time, which equals $200.00 per hour. We estimate the parts cost to be $25.00. I used them because they charge 67.50 for the house call. I wish I had shopped more carefully.

Terry was awesome. He came out, explained what he was doing while he was doing it. Tried to do the least expensive repair possible, but still had leaks. He took the unit apart and showed me where the seal was damaged. Apparently, both the City of Lawrence and City of Carmel water companies use a different meter than everyone else around, so he had to call around to find a supplier for the meter yoke that was damaged. He re-ran the pipes to help prevent the yoke from getting damaged in the future. On top of that, he had a great sense of humor, cleaned up everything he did and was a pleasure to have work on my home.

I called on Monday morning and had a technician at my door around 2pm, which was great because I could not shut off the leak and it was getting worse. The technician was fast and friendly, easily the best plumbing experience i have ever had.

Very professional. Gave me a quote from a standard list of services and pricing. Removed and installed two toilets. Answered all my questions and gave advice on how to best care for the seals. Checked to make sure no leaks. Terrific!

I CALLED FIRST THING AT 730AM. ON A MONDAY. THE OWNER, LANCE, ANSWERED THE CALL. I EXPLAINED THE SITUATION RE: MY DAD'S HOME AND THE TIME IT HAPPENED. HE WAS ABLE TO FIT US IN THE SAME DAY AROUND 10 AM TO ASSESS THE SITUATION. I WAS SO THANKFUL THEY COULD COME OUT THE SAME DAY !! ONCE THE PROBLEM WAS DIAGNOSED, THEY WERE ABLE TO COME OUT ON WEDNESDAY AND REPLACE THE SEWER LINES. I WAS IMPRESSED AND MUCH APPRECIATED THAT THEY COULD GET THIS DONE SO QUICKLY, BEING THAT MY DAD DID NOT TELL ME HE HAD PROBLEMS FOR OVER 3 DAYS !! BOTH TERRY AND LANCE WERE VERY KIND AND ANSWERED ANY QUESTIONS THAT I HAD. I ALSO APPRECIATE THE GRAVEL :) THEY CLEANED UP THE AREA WELL AND MADE SURE I KNEW WHERE THE EXTRA FENCE PIECES WERE FOR THE FUTURE. THEY ALSO MADE SURE I WAS AWARE OF THEIR COUPON FOR $300 OFF. THAT WAS GREAT, CONSIDERING REPLACING SEWER LINES IS NOT A CHEAP THING! ANY SAVINGS IS AND WAS MUCH APPRECIATED !! I WOULD RECOMMEND LD SMITH PLUMBING TO ANYONE DUE TO THE GREAT EXPERIENCE OF WORKING WITH THEM. ALTHOUGH I HOPE I DONT HAVE TO USE THEM ANYMORE :)

There was a leak underneath the slab of the house. They had to do some digging because the leak was under the house itself. They put everything back after they were done, and I haven't had any problems since. I was very glad to have their knowledge and expertise available to get the problem fixed.

It went well. I have no complaints. I have no problems with the service.
