This company is really good. I bought a coupon off Angie's List for routine sewer line cleaning/inspection, which was already at a great price. What I expected to be routine maintenance, turned out to be much more complicated. There are problems with the line that I didn't know about. The LD Smith guy took a lot of time here, trying to clear what he could out of the line, showing me the camera images and explaining everything to me.

Had no hot water. Justin installed a new part and got her going. Quick response. Nice to deal with--both office and plumber.Used their Angie's List coupon for $50 off. He looked at a couple other things and I intend to have them back again at a later time.

As I mentioned, I have used this plumber three times and had them provide actual service work twice. I have always been impressed with their professionalism and knowledge. I almost never write a review but I would highly recommend them to anyone.

John called in advance of his appointment time and arrived when expected. The job took more than 3 hours. He communicated the job process well but during the installation I proposed changes . John adapted to my requests. We both could have communicated better but his intentions were always to complete the job as I wished and did so outstandingly. He was very friendly, professional, considerate, and was in no hurry to race off to his next appointment. Lance arrived with supplies and when he had to go for more due to the change in the installation process, he promptly returned and the job was completed. If there were any questions or concerns after the job was completed, LD Smith stood by the original estimated cost. I'm grateful for their effort, would definitely use again, and hope LD Smith will be my plumber for all my future needs. Thank you John and Lance.

Terry was outstanding in his work as usual. I have used this plumbing company many times before and they are certainly my "go to" when I have a plumbing need. The service, explanation of the work to be performed, and efficiency are just some of their strong points. Their prices always seem to be very fair. Two leaky valves were replaced that required soldering. This is routine work for a plumber, but something that really needs a professional. If you call LD Smith Plumbing, prepare for a great experience!

These plumbers are great. I had various items that needed to be looked at on my inspection report for the sale of my home. Most of the items found on the report by a private inspection company were bogus but my buyer still wanted a plumber to sign off that these items did not require service. I called various plumbers and most wanted $150 minimum to come out. Ld and Smith came out for $67. The LD Smith plumber was professional, knowledgeable and came right when he said he would. He inspected everything carefully and made sure everything was in order. He signed off on my inspection report which allowed me to close on my house. These guys won't jerk you around. If I was staying around indianapolis I would use them again.

I called on Thursday afternoon and they we able to have someone to my home the next day, The shut off valves under my kitchen sink would no longer turn on or off. He called prior to arriving, and was on time. He fixed the problem within an hour and left my kitchen spotless. I will highly recommend this company to anyone with plumbing problems, They are fast, efficient and very nice people to deal with.

We contacted LD Smith Plumbing for a second opinion on a sewer line as part of a home inspection. Neither seller or buyer was present when the first plumber did an inspection. The first plumber gave a vague verbal report of a disconnected first joint from clean-out to sewer that needed repair for $2500, and he could not inpsect the rest of the line. There was "no telling what else could be going on" on the part of the line he couldn't see. He provided no DVD or pictures. This didn't make sense since there were no symptoms, so we called LD Smith for a second opinion. This time, seller, buyer, and realtor were present at the time of inspection. Terry, from LD Smith, explained the process and showed us the footage on his screen. He was thorough, and his equipment was fully functional. He was patient and professional. Terry explained that there were no disconnected joints, and there was nothing at all that required repairs at this time. Given our experience with the first plumber, Terry offered a kind discount.

Few days prior, we received a quote from a competitor that was far more that we expected. We were told the drain stop could not be removed, it was welded to the trap. We would need a new trap and spout. The quote was $900 - $100.00 credit for buying an angies list deal. We have used LD Smith past and were happy with them, so we called again. They gave rough estimates on the phone and scheduled a plumber to come out the next day. John arrived, was very nice and easy to talk to. He asked a couple questions about what we were looking for. He asked Why we would want to replace the trap and spout as he didn't believe we needed to. We had been told the stop was welded in and could not be removed without replacing the whole trap. John did not believe that to be true and proved it. He removed the stop within a minute, something the previous plumber said couldn't be done. During inspection John identified issues within the piping that do need to be addressed. He explained everything very well and provided a quote that was in line with the previous quote except fixing the right stuff. The trap does not need to be replaced. We will go forward with this repair and continue with LD Smith. John was very honest and recommended what is necessary, not just out to get our money.

Shaun showed up within the window specified and commenced to clear the drain. In the process, he added a cleanout "Y" fitting onto a vertical section of drain PVC so as to aid in future drain clearing. Cleaned up after work was completed, honored the AL coupon and he was on his way.

We have used Smith Plumbing since they were a one man operation. As they have grown into what they are now their emphasis on quality workmanship and customer relations has continued to grow with them. On this project we were on a tight time line over a three day span. Smith Plumbing responded at their designated time on both days completed their part of the project with little or no problem and left no mess. As I stated we have used them in the past numerous times with very positive results. The average consumer probably does not realize the benefits and advantages of using a plumbing firm run by plumbers. Other firms may or not be run by people who have no idea what is involved, all of Smith's people do. I would like to nominate them for one of Angie's Super Service Awards......

From the first phone call to completion of the installation and work, L.D. Smith provided exceptional service, workmanship and professionalism.

Detected a gas odor and called the gas company. Vectren confirmed the leak and said to call a plumber to check the whole system and fix the leak. John from LD Smith plumbing came to fix the leak. He was friendly, knowledgeable, professional and efficient. He explained to me what he was doing. I had not used this company before but would definitely use them again.

I had 3 different companies look at it and quote pricing and they were all similar. He got the work done within 5 days of the scope and estimate. I was very happy with the work.

John was our service provider. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He diagnosed the problem; fixed the problem; kept me informed of the costs involved prior to performing the service and gave recommendations to prevent future problems.

Plumber installed new piping and attached a new water faucet for outside use. Justin (plumber) was on time, replaced the old faucet and copper tubing and was done within 45 minutes. Great Job!!

My kitchen drain was slow running to the point that it would start to back up, making it impossible to run the dishwasher or use the garbage disposal. I called LD Smith plumbing at 8:30am and they scheduled someone to come over at 2pm that very afternoon. I have an older house and to actually get to the clog, they had to snake the pipe from the roof going down the kitchen sink vent. They did a through and very professional job. Cleaned up under my kitchen sink to the point it looked better than before they came! :-) Very punctual, I will use them again.

I called on a Monday morning for service in providing/installing a new toilet. Scheduled an appointment for the same day which was fantastic. The plumber called when he was on his way to let me know what time he would be arriving. Arrived on time, was in and out in a reasonable time and did an exceptional job. Quoted the job, kept me informed of his progress, and the bathroom was as neat and clean when he left as when he arrived. I'd highly recommend them to anyone and will definitely use them again. Was simply a seamless process. Highly recommended.

They were very punctual, knowledgeable, and great to work with. Shawn completed the work quickly and cleaned up his work area. We had them come out previously for the same issue which they were unable to pinpoint at the time because the leak was so small, however they did reimburse me part of the first service call fee.

Justin was here on time with a call 20 minutes before arrival. He was informative about the situation all the way through and spent hours trying to clear our roots from the main line. The camera showed that a root has taken up a home in our 6 inch pipe to the street. We now have a much bigger job scheduled for Thursday this week to install a new 6 inch clean out in the yard. Big unexpected expense, but I know we have the right people and as reasonable price as possible. Will recommend to anyone needing a quality plumbing company.

I felt their estimate was high but since I already had money in the game and the repair was a simple one, I went ahead and had them do the repair. Once the repair was completed, they asked for $250 payment and my deposit was not credited. The plumber's story changed and he indicated the original deposit was not a deposit but was a service call charge. I had to call the company's owner (who I never actually got to speak to) and they finally relented and charged the originally agreed upon price. I asked the plumber to leave my property so he went out to his truck and sat there for 10 minutes. I went out and ask him to remove himself and his truck from my property and he moved the truck across the street and sat there for an additional 25 minutes. I felt like I was being stalked! Very Creepy!!!! Would not recommend this company to anyone!
