Knox Septic Sewer Service

On Thrusday evening at 6:30pm the toilet and shower stopped draining, being on a septic system I suspected the tank needed cleaned out. I immediately jumped on Angie's List and then called Knox, not really expecting anyone to answer at 6:37pm. To my surprise they did. I told Ronnie my problem and he agreed that a full tank would be the most common cause and said they could get a truck out on Friday. He was very polite and informative on the phone, providing an cost (assuming they only needed to empty the tank). Upon arrival Darryl and Ronnie were extremely polite and professional. They resolved the clog where the house drain enters the tank and emptied the tank. They then proceeded to inspect my finger system and identify a finger that was showing signs of not working properly. Then they told me how to fix it MYSELF and educated me on septic system maintenance and care. I never felt like they were trying to push services on me that I didn't need and felt like they were really trying to help me. Again, they were so professional and easy to work with. I would recommend them to anyone!!

They did a great job. Took 30 minutes to find the tank and then because I dug up the top, they only charged me for pumping. Very responsive and high quality work. No mess either.

This was the 5th company I consulted with about my chronic sewer back up problem. Knox was the only company that gave me a permanent, guaranteed solution with a very inventive idea. The other companies wanted to install backwash valves, which don't always work and require regular maintenance. By rerouting my whole sewage system to a level several feet higher than the old system, I can no longer be the victim of an antiquated and inadequate city sewer system. I wish I had found them years earlier. They made it all very easy for me by obtaining the city permits to dig up sidewalk and street and taking care of everything. They are even going to come back in the spring to re-grade the yard after everything settles. They did all the work themselves - no subs and were really pleasant to work with. I can't recommend the Knox brothers enough.

They scheduled promptly, arrived on time, did the work for the price quoted and were very pleasant to deal with.

They had to reschedule due to mechanical trouble with their truck but they called me and informed me of the situation. They rescheduled me for first thing the following morning. They arrived on time and were very professional and did a good job communicating with me. They also made sure my drainage line from the house to the septic tank was working properly before they left. I will use them again.

They arrived on time. They explained their procedure and pumped the tank. The cost was about $25 more that 5 years ago which is quite reasonable.

They were excellent. Reasonably priced, a set price, efficient and very prompt.

I called them and they were able to come out within an hour or two. They told me that they didn't need to get their truck in my backyard that they could use a longer hose but that they would need to call out another truck. They were able to correctly do the job. They told me how the septic tank had been constructed and recommended some maintenance. They ended up doing a lot of extra work to repair the septic system so it ended up costing more then expected. They didn't do a hard sell on it, they just told me they would recommend that the work be done.

I just purchased this house and knox had been out earlier in the week to locate, install riser and pump the septic. Jeff pointed out some work that needed to be done by the coming spring. Then disaster struck on Saturday night. Although they had other jobs scheduled they come out and emptied the tank again which although a temporary solution, allowed us to take showers and flush the toilet. The next day, Jeff called me at work and literally walked through the yard explaining his estimate to me. They replaced several cast iron pipes, baffles, boxes and removed lots of roots and installed a pipe to the street. He also said the fingers looked like new because it had been so long since anything had actually drained into them. The next day I came home from work, my basement was clean, my backyard was muddy, but graded. Jeff came over within the hour and walked me through everything they did, and told me a few things to keep an eye on. So far, I have been showering, flushing and washing clothes with abandon.

I am pleased with the work performed. They completed the job in a timely manner. They also alerted me to a problem with roots in my distributor box.

Discovered that we needed to call a plumber for additional work.

I made arrangements for Jeff Knox and his crew to come to my home for an initial "dig" to see if my finger system was, in fact, broken. He was an hour late. However, when he arrived he was completely professional. As he dug up part of my yard, he showed me everything that was wrong. I could not understand all of it, but I could see that the finger system was not working. He said he had to contact the Board of Health to get a permit and then they would get started and that it would most likely be the next day. When I arrived home from work at 5:30 that evening, he was pulling up in front of my house ready to unload the backhoe. Jeff told me he was able to get the permit, and he wanted to get started on it that evening. He and his crew ended up working until nearly 10:00 p.m., then finished up the next morning. (Which would explain why he was an hour late for our initial appointment, they work from sunup to sundown!) These guys worked so hard and were so professional. They had to dig up half my back yard to put in the new system, but left the dirt as level as they possibly could. I will use them again for my septic service.

They were very prompt. I called them at 9:30 on a Monday morning just hoping they would be able to get out in the next day or two and they were able to come out the same afternoon. Very impressed with their response time. They called when they were on their way (I was at work) and when they were done. They gave me some tips to keep the tank in order and advised me of some ground water issues that can arise with septic systems due to all the rain we have received lately. Even though I had never used them before, they left the bill in my mailbox so I could send them a check.

Knox Septic was punctual and professional. They completed the job as they indicated they would. The first truck they sent was too large and they couldn't navigate our small space. They returned the next morning, as promised, with a smaller truck.

They where very friendly when they were there working for us. They where very professional about the job. They had showed up on time to do the job for us.

Went very good! They adapted they're truck vehicles for me since my yard is too small. Instead of using the big dual wheel trucks they brought smaller trucks for access to my backyard. Very nice people. Very personable and charged me exactly what they quoted me.

They came very promptly, got the job done quickly, and their prices were very competitive. I checked around a couple of places to compare and their prices were very competitive. They did a good job and I would use them again in the future.

Came the morning after I called. I did not have an emergency. Arrived right on time, got the job done quickly and without any problems. Explained a few things to me about our septic system, and systems in general. Suggested it should be done every twelve months, presented a bill, I paid and they cleaned up and left. Very nice, efficient, and courteous. Would definitely use them next year.

The original owners had built to separate finger systems on the home and we were unaware they had. They fixed the problem and they ended saving us close to $10,000!!! They were great, showed up on time and did a fantastic job! I will definitely use them in the future.
