Due to Covid we had to wait a bit longer then anticipated. But the staff always kept us updated on the progress of our order. When the installer came it only took 1 day to install the pool. Then he explained how to run the salt system and filter. We were very pleased with the professionalism shown by this group. ( There were about 5 workers) We have been enjoying our pool all summer and would highly recommend Kayak Pool Midwest to anyone in the market for a pool. My brother has had his Kayak pool for 23 years and is still using it and loving it!

Joke of a company!! Never do business with this company. It all started in 2/2021, we spoke with the sales rep that of course promised us the world. Stated he would take $1000 off the pool if we would be a demo site, we agreed, he told us we would be one of the first people that would be installed due to the demo site. Wrote a $6600 check for a down payment, boy they are quick to cash those checks. We started getting phone calls weekly in April, with the understanding we would be getting a pool in May. Everytime they call they push production, delivery, installation, you name it back by 2-3 weeks due to "weather" Which i understand Indiana does have rain, but come on people. Received an e-mail at the beginning of June stating we would have our pool delivered by mid to end of June. Guess what, no pool!!! They they try to tell us they never said it would be delivered. I ask to speak to a manager and i am told i can send an e-mail and they will get back to me within 24 hrs, well after 10 days and still no response from a manager i am pretty ****** off. Never speak to a manager, we continue to speak to the same rude person we have been dealing with, she states she is the manager. We are never able to speak to someone higher up in the company. Fast forward to July 6th we get a voicemail stating the pool would be delivered that week, of course that week comes and goes and nothing. So we finally speak to Anna Rue on July 12th and she states they will call us in 24 hours prior to delivering, what happened to delivering on the week of July 6th??? Of course noone knows, i finally get a call on July 21st from the delivery team stating they will delivery on July 22nd. Yay! Finally getting somewhere. The delivery driver shows up on July 22nd and informs me that he was just given my case on July 21st when he called me. Oh so the two weeks prior to that the info we were given were more lies, ding ding you guessed it, all lies. On July 7th my husband spoke to Tammy and she informed him the installation would be done within 48 hours of delivering the pool. Sweet we may get some use of it this year. Oh wait that was another lie. We received an e-mail from Tammy today stating the installation team will contact us in 1-2 weeks to schedule an installation date but it would more than likely be 3-4 weeks instead of 1-2 weeks. So you're telling me i'm supposed to have this pool sit in the middle of my driveway for 4 weeks and hope that nothing happens to it, but god forbid something happens, you know **** good and well they won't fix anything. They would place the blame on us. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy!!!! After speaking to our lawyer we will more than likely be pursuing legal action. Never done business with anyone worse than this company.

Our Kayak experience started in April of this year. On 4/8 we had our virtual consultation with Chris. He was pleasant during the excruciatingly long presentation. During this presentation he presented all the things that made Kayak Pools the supplier of choice for pools. He stated that during Covid the owner of his company made the decision to ‘double down’ and to increase production of pools to meet the extra demand while other companies slowed production to a crawl. He stated repeatedly that they complete pools within 30-45 days. Every other company we called stated that they were not booking any more builds until 2022. So naturally as a family who really wanted a pool, we decided to go with Kayak to make this happen! I mean a pool in 30-45 days! Who would not jump on that? In addition to getting the pool this year I allowed myself to be scammed into thinking they would be doing me a favor by signing up for their ‘demo homesite’ program. It is supposed to be saving me some money and Chris informed that would give us priority status. However, if it were truly that important and rare of an opportunity, I strongly believe that they would have never allowed the following to have occurred. At this point I am not sure how they could expect to send a customer to my house and for me to help them sell a pool. I will of course honor my commitment. Around the end of April, I had called and paid the required SIGNIFICANT down payment on the pool. It took them over a week to pull the money from our account which seemed odd at the time. In hindsight it appears it was just a delay tactic. When they finally pulled the down payment on 5/3, I spoke to a lady by the name of Katelyn. She explained that Leslie would be reaching out to me with in three days to run down the construction details! At this time, I confirmed that the timeline was 30-45 business days! She quickly replied ‘yes’. On 5/3 I spoke with Leslie for the first time. She hurriedly went through a bunch of information. Clearly being in a very big hurry and not wanting to spend a lot of time on the phone. She tried to sneak in the new information that they are now 2-4 weeks behind schedule! I stopped her and asked if this was new information. Her tone became very aggressive at this time and stated no – they have been behind. I asked why Katelyn would have told me that they 30-45 days was still in effect? She stated in a very dismissive manor that she would make sure that everyone was on the same page. I was understandably upset and portrayed my disappointment for the company lying to me. This is textbook deceptive business! Nonetheless I sent and email almost immediately afterwards apologizing to her as I wanted to make sure that we did not suffer from the conversation. She replied stating a thanks for the apology and to not worry about it… Since that time, it has been a struggle to get any information. We send emails basically begging for an update or construction timelines. Leslie will respond in a sarcastic tone, stating how many days it has been, how no construction timelines are every perfect and it is very clear now that they have our money they do not care or worry about the people who are investing a significant amount of money into her company. We have literally begged Leslie to be better at communication. An email or phone call just simply checking in... giving us an update would go a long way. The only exception to this is when my wife started to panic about the pool being put up so late in the year and wanted to know about adding a pool heater – Leslie was quick to respond to that one! Only to tell us they are 6-9 week out. We then contacted several other companies who stated that they have them in stock now? We will not voluntarily give this company any extra money. To sum this up. This company is very good at telling you exactly what you want to hear until they get your money and commitment. Then all communication will cease, and you will feel as though you are truly bothering them at every attempt for an update. The customer service with this company is horrible and I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND NOT UTILIZING THEIR SERVICE. I unfortunately must stick it out as they informed me if I did back out, I would lose my down payment. Which is exactly WHY they do not care to communicate and be cordial. Surely it is not too much to ask for an update occasionally. Kayak clearly overpromises and under delivers. As my Kayak Pools experience evolves, I will update this review. Good Luck! You will see a generic, condescending response making excuses for the delays. Remember this complaint IS NOT ABOUT THE DELAYS. It is about the lack of communication, extremely poor customer service and deceptive business practices.

Worst experience I have ever had when purchasing an expensive Item. They did not complete the install last year and promised that they would finish and open it for me spring of 2021. I started calling to schedule completion and opening in March. Was told they would contact me in April. No Call in April. I called again the beginning of May and was told I would get a call. Again No call! called again May 13th. Was told it would be sent to a supervisor and someone would call by the May 18th or 19th. Its May 19 at 4:11 pm and NO Call. I could not be more disappointed with having pick them to replace my old pool. The worst experience ever and I would never recommend this company to do anything. What kind of company take a lot of your money and does not complete or honor the work promises you, and paid them for. Kayak pools Midwest is that company!!!!

We know you need your filter hooked up, however, we are behind on service because of the weather at this point. We did have service requests that were placed before yours and we offer all of our customers the same courtesy that we address them in the order they are request. We know you want to use your pool and have this taken care of as soon as possible. We want the exact same thing, we very much wish we had some control over the weather but unfortunately we don’t. Typically we can start completing service and installation anywhere between March and the beginning of June. This year we weren’t able to start as early as we hoped and have been on a stop and go basis because of the amount of rain we’ve been getting. Please let us know what we can do to try and resolve this. We very much have tried explaining that we are trying to get this completed for you but have no control over the weather.

Kayak pools Midwest built our pool this summer. We paid for the backfill service which was our only complaint. It was delayed and when it was done, it was done by a contractor who had not done this service before and left incomplete (more than the typical settling of dirt which would be expected). We tried working with kayak pools for two months before we disputed the charge for this service. Kayak eventually went above and beyond and gave us the option of having them complete the project or to refund us a portion of the backfill fee as the job had been left incomplete. We decided to take the partial refund as we had already worked on completing the backfill ourselves . Pool is fine and we enjoyed swimming in it but I would recommend doing backfill on your own or getting a reputable landscape company

We purchased a 16 x 32 above ground Kayak pool with a deep end and deck, signed our contract in June. After signing the contract and paying the down payment most everything we were told prior changed and we were informed of multiple extra expenses that we were not told about prior to purchase. When we spoke with the salesman, we made it abundantly clear we were purchasing the pool to use this summer. We were assured that would not be a problem, he told us that the pool would be installed 7 -14 days after they received payment, he stated that the contract would say 7 -21 days but it would be about 14. That did not happen, we went from 7 -21 days to 21-28 business days then an additional 2 weeks tacked on. Our pool is still not installed and we are well passed the timeframes we were given. We discussed the location of the pool with the salesman which we chose because we have an outbuilding with electricity, he and my husband discussed the voltage and we were told that would not be a problem, we could run an extension cord if need be as long as it was buried. Only to find out later that is not the case, our warranty would be voided and we had to have a electrician install a different plug and bond the wiring to the pool before we backfilled. The backfill we were told we had to purchase treated plywood, required that we coordinate water being hauled with the installation of the pool. The list of surprises goes on and on. Our pool was finally delivered on August 19, I emailed Tammy to let her know it was delivered and clarified with her that we should hear from the installer within 72hrs, and she assured me that we would. We didn't hear from him until 5 days later, after I emailed Tammy and told her he had not called. We finally got an install date of Sunday August 30th between 8-9A, reminded me we needed to have the water there between 5-6p we arranged that and of course the completion payment.. However, the installer did not show up, didn't call, didn't answer his phone, nothing from Kayak. After noon on Sunday, he texted me to let me know he had a health issue and another installer was assigned to our pool, stated that he thought Kayak had called us. I sent 2 emails to Tammy, one letting her know I had not heard from the installer and then one after I heard from him. No one reached out to us on Monday ( Aug 31) I emailed them to find out what was going on, I was told that the installer and a few of his crew were ill, they were working on getting another installer, Tues I was told another installer had my work order and he would be calling me to set an install date, Wed I was assured that he would be calling me, today is Thurs and I I still haven't heard from anyone about when my pool will be installed. In full transparency, Tammy did say she was adding $200.00 in Kayak Cash to our account for future purchases due to being out of timeframe and Kayak offered to waive the $1000.00 completion pay for the " hiccups and delays" with the stipulation that I write a positive review and send them a screenshot, I declined that offer. Our pool was finally installed on 9/10/2020. However, in order for that to happen we had to for go part of our vacation and our order was not complete, we are still waiting for our solar cover reel. John and his installation team were amazing and I could not be happier with the work they completed. Unfortunately, that's the only positive experience with this company.

Well the weather was not our friend in 2019 ,a pool install for early summer turned into late summer with all the rain, But the pool was a beautiful above ground pool with a deep end and my Grandkids just love it, communication between the company ,installers, coordinators and all involved needs help, but the Pool itself is a beautiful and quite easy pool to take care of. Everybody just love to come over to our house to swim.
