I had 4 companies provide estimates to reside one end of our house. Although all estimates were roughly in the same ballpark, Hostetter was the best price, and most thorough quote. Both crews (siding and paint) were very professional, happy to answer questions, and left the site clean. The complete job was 4 days - 2 siding, 2 paint. I was able to observe the work throughout the process, and was pleased with the quality of work and attention to detail. Great experience - I'd highly recommend for fiber cement siding and/or paint.

After calling numerous companies and not getting any call backs, I finally called J D Hostetter and Associates. They returned my call promptly. After agreeing to stop by to look at the work to be done, Jeff Hostetter came back with a professional proposal with pricing. The follow up was prompt and they adhered to their agreed upon schedule. The workman were professional, no nonsense men who knew their trade. I am happy with the work and would refer others to them without hesitation.

Painters were courteous, hard working, and thorough. My misinterpretation of the estimate was resolved quickly to my satisfaction.

We love the new guttering, very much superior to the plastic guttering we purchased and installed ourselves several years ago. The guys were in and out, removing all old guttering. The end product looks great, coming with a 10 year clog free warranty. The Hostetter's were easy and pleasurable to work with and the price was right. The cost was less a $200.00 Angie's List coupon. I would definitely recommend them.

Wonderful group of men who were at our house every day for approximately two weeks. Did a very professional job on all aspects of this project and did a great job cleaning up after project was completed.

Our older home had some siding that was pulling away from the house. This was located mostly on the 2nd floor of our home. In researching options, we knew we wanted to repair/replace and make improvements to the exterior of the home by replacing siding. We had also identified 2 older windows that needed to be replaced - and were wanting to ensure that the replacement windows matched our existing, original double pane windows. A representative from JD Hostetter came out to look at the house. He took a lot of time to walk around and assess the current situation with the home - especially the siding and the 2 windows for replacement - but also pointed out where overall improvements could be made to make the job, and the finished product, complete. We discussed painting the exterior of the house and replacing the gutters and adding gutter guards due to the mature trees on our property. While it increased the scope of the project, it greatly increased the value of the work completed. The work was completed over a 2 month period (a little longer than planned due to very wet spring) and each set of contractors - the siding, the widow, the painters and the gutter crew - all worked efficiently and together to ensure the work was complete. Every evening the entire property was cleaned up and picked up - even if they were returning the next morning to complete work. When issues arose, they were handled quickly and fairly by Jeff Hostetter - which made the process run smoothly. We are very pleased with the work done and know that the value of our home - and the warranties provided on the work - went to directly increasing the value of our home - and the curb appeal. We would without hesitation recommend JD Hostetter for your siding and exterior home work.

I want to begin by saying it is highly unlikely that I will ever use or even recommend JD Hostetter & Associates to anyone. My experience with their company was very disappointing. Their work crew would show up unannounced without a courteous call letting me know they would be at my home working. They did a terrible job of following through with the agreed upon scope of work in the contract. I had to continually call the company after each time the crew was out to express my frustration of them not delivering as the contract was written and the sketchy work that was performed. In one instance, I myself had to get out my ladder and climb on my roof to take pictures so that the owner could see the issues I was dealing with just so I could get them corrected. There were various areas that the workers attempted to cut corners, damaged my lawn and did not clean up after themselves after completing work as stated in the contract. I found numerous nails, screws, and other debris in my yard after the work was completed. There was one day the crew came out to fix the issues I identified and I asked them why they tried to cut corners and the crew lead said it was ?because [they] didn?t have all the materials with them that day?. To me this was unacceptable. I didn?t agree to pay thousands of dollars to have poor quality of work done on my house. Throughout this whole experience I never received a call from the corporate office to apologize for all the issues or come out for themselves to see firsthand the poor quality of work their crews did which is just the opposite of what they claim they do on their website and in their YouTube video. I ask anyone considering using JD Hostetter & Associates for home contractor work heed with caution. Everything went very smoothly. There was no hard sell for the more expensive products, but we got a lot of good information about our options, and any questions were answered promptly and politely. The team working here went over and above to make sure everything was done carefully, and included us in any decisions that had to be made along the way, including a design change which worked out really well. There is a lot of skill and precision involved in a good siding job, so I'm glad we worked with wan established company which obviously hires qualified people.

From the first meeting with Mike Young, it was a pleasant experience throughout the whole process. There was never any high pressure sales, the estimate was emailed to me a few days after first visit, allowing us time to review it and ask questions. We had a couple of issues as with any remodeling job but Jeff and Tony were on them immediately and the issues were corrected within a day. We had an unexpected illness in the family and had to delay some of the project, Jeff was very understanding and patient and I greatly appreciate his kindness. I would recommend this company to anyone.

I typically do all of my own home repairs mainly because I am very particular. The one or two things I have contracted out have not been done to my satisfaction, so I just do as much as I can myself. I needed the exterior of my home painted, but just didn't have the time due to work. I had 4 Angie's List contractors meet with me and give me quotes. I decided to chose JD Hostetter. I am here to say they were not only extremely professional from giving me the quote to completing the job, but the work they did was absolutely impeccable. David and his painting crew did an amazing job. They prepped, caulked and painted my trim, doors, eves, gutters, downspouts and soffits in 2 days and did a great job. I would highly recommend JD Hostetter and they have me as a customer for life.

The bedrooms were problematic because the tapes connecting the walls and ceilings were pulling away. These were corrected perfectly. A crack in a ceiling was fixed perfectly. Two coats of Sherwin-Williams were applied carefully without staining carpets or windows. The outside of the house was power-washed the evening before painting. The next morning, 8 painters showed up and began caulking and scraping. Rotting boards were replaced. Wrought iron around windows, doors, and lights was scraped down to bare metal. Two coats of Sherwin-Williams were applied to the house and glossy black paint to the wrought iron. The work was carefully done, completed in one day, and the workers cleaned up nicely upon completion.

I had used Hostetter in the past to install windows in my home so I knew the quality of work would meet or exceed my expectations. Communication was good from the start; I got an estimate without having to meet the estimator and it was very competitive with other contractors who bid on the work. I got a repeat customer discount, which helps! Installation was not on the date agreed upon in the contract, but heavy rains in the early summer delayed the installation squad so I was OK with that. It did take me multiple attempts to contact before I could get a rescheduled date, but once that was set, the installation went very well (1 day and regular communication via text from the installer). Office staff, management, and installers are friendly and knowledgeable. Gutters look good and perform very well. I will use JD Hostetter again with confidence.

Jeff and Brenda Hostetter run a first rate professional company. I'm glad I picked them. They showed up on the promised date and on time. Crew was very hard working and very good at their craft. Tony the crew chief kept me up to date on all aspects of the project. We made a few changes as we went but they were minor and the team was very easy to work with. I was impressed with the quality and cleanliness of the crew. At the end of the project everything was policed and picked up thoroughly. The workmanship was very good. David ran the paint crew. Their work was impeccable. I felt comfortable having them do this work and would be happy to use them again in the future! Thx Jeff and company!

They were really professional and quick to do the estimate. I'm just perplexed by the price. I got quotes from three A-rated Angie's list painting companies that each have many reviews. I asked them all for the exact same work. The other two had quotes that were very similar. JD Hostetter's quote was more than twice the next highest quote and they had the least availability to start the work. I'm honestly not sure how to interpret that, but I couldn't justify more than 2X the price.

Both gentleman, estimator and installer, were very nice and competent. Any on-site issues were handled quickly. Communication from main office , such as start date , company office was only issue

JD Hostetter did a tremendous job with our siding. Shortly after, they transitioned to painting and the gutters. They did a good job fighting weather issues to get our job at the earliest convenience. The staff remained in constant contact with us and were pleased with their availability. We are very happy with the job that was done and would recommend them to anyone looking to have work done on their house.

I have never worked with a contractor who was so devoted to customer satisfaction.

JD Hostetter came with high marks from Angie's List customers so we had them out for an estimate. We were happy with their proposal to fix a number of exterior problems (drainage/gutters, siding damage, minor leaks), including suggesting we DID NOT need a new roof (honesty which I appreciated and will remember when we do need one). The job was quoted and completed in three parts, all done within 30 days with attention to detail and quality. They matched our siding perfectly! Chad was excellent with his communication and very attentive to our happiness with the work. We've had some heavy rains since the work was completed and everything is so much better. We would highly recommend them for roofing, gutters, siding and we will use them again when our next project comes up.

As the former president and CEO of the Central Indiana Better Business Bureau, I do know a little about customer service and you could not ask for better customer service than JD Hostetter provided. The on-site crew went above and beyond to make sure that we received complete satisfaction. As with any job of this magnitude, there were a couple minor snafus but these were quickly, eagerly, and professionally remedied. Obviously with a product and service that is designed to last for many years, it is too early to know the long-term results but I have no doubt that if a problem does arise, it will be resolved.

Promised a little & delivered a lot.

JD Hostetter was great! We got our estimate/quote and it was right on! The crew came in on Monday ~ washed the siding, sanded and primed all areas. On Tuesday, the crew came back and started painting early! What was nice ~ theh crew leader waited until I was home from work to go over some of the painting details with me. They finished the job in 1 day ~ that's a lot with a 2 story house and as much as there was to paint. I will definitely use them again!

Working with JD Hostetter was great. Their quote for services came in under many others. Usually that means the quality and service may not be up to par with the others. After reading through all of the excellent reviews, I decided to go with JD Hostetter. They did not let me down. Three different crews came out to perform the three different jobs and all was complete within two weeks and by the date I was promised. All three crews were very professional, did an excellent job and cleaned up after themselves. The finished product was great and have received many complements from neighbors. I can not find one negative thing to say. Thank You JD Hostetter, I appreciate working with a business that provides the quality service that should be expected!

Flawless, tore off old roof, replaced with new roof, cleaned up great and was punctual. Would definitely hire again and recommend.
