We originally asked the organization for a painting estimate. We thought the painting estimate seemed fair so decided to see if they would also give us quotes for windows and garage. We thought the garage would cost much more to fix than we were quoted, so were very pleased with the estimate. They conducted all of the work within a reasonable time frame. The windows and garage all look great!

Very professional, followed up by mail and telephone. Very helpful when he gave the estimate and we were very impressed. We definitely would have hired them if we had decided not to do it ourselves.

Met with Jeff Hostetter to receive one of three quotes to paint the newly installed Hardi-plank fiber cement siding. Jeff was very personable and professional. I had a lot of questions and Jeff went out of his way to make sure I got all the answers I needed to make the best decision possible. Jeff's willingness to go the 'extra mile' and his commitment to customer satisfaction was probably the most important factor in our decision to go with him. The initial crew Jeff sent out would not show up as promised on several occasions and the work was not getting completed. Jeff rectified the situation by firing that sub-contractor and sent in another crew who worked diligently until the work was completed to my satisfaction. Jeff was very interested in his sub-contractors maintaining his high standard of professionalism and integrity. While I was not pleased with the delays, I was happy with the way in which he dealt with a less-than-ideal situation. I would highly recommend Jeff.

Firm was very responsive and professional. The roofing price was the highest we received but it was just a little over the insurance estimate (due to general contractor (GC) 20% markup). We would have chosen this contractor had they had any positive roofing reports. While the company is a GC, each division of their company has a separate estimator so I had to meet (3) separate times with different people. This was a bit of pain but no different than meeting with individual roofing/siding/painting companies and I appreciated meeting with a qualified estimator in each work area. I was working with a deadline and Jeff took the time to speak with me after hours. If I hadn't been up against a deadline, I would have checked some of their recent roofing work. Alas, I had to make a quick decision and so went with a contractor with more reviews. They followed up with me after I informed them I was choosing another contractor(s) - a nice touch.

Prep work and washing was poorly done. I called office requesting that a supervisor look at the job before primer coat went on, but was brushed off. Crew primed over hanging shreds of old paint, only scraping (through wet paint) the places I could point out from the ground. Painter didn't have color sample book in truck and chose "by eye" a trim color of much lighter value and wrong hue. Instead of emptying the wrong color into a container, he emptied his paint sprayer into the underbrush outside my front door (I live in a wooded area which now has a big patch of baby blue poison ivy.) There are also patches of baby blue gravel in the driveway from paint drips, and I have been picking white chips and paint pieces from the power washing out of the bushes. The whole job showed a lack of respect and a need for drop cloths.

Jeff is very helpful, cooperative and friendly. They made every effort to accomodate our needs and budget. Work done well and efficiently.

I don't think that I have ever worked with a more quality group of people. We had just had the siding replaced on our house and wanted the trim painted to match the siding, which was a beige color. When the primer was applied it was a bright yellow. I contacted Hostetter and Associates and unfortunately Ken who does the scheduling was out sick. Jeff Hostetter contacted me and assured me that they would do what it took to make the color right. Jeff and Tony, the head of the crew painting our house, worked together and within a couple of hours had the siding matched perfectly. Tony and his crew worked incredibly hard and had the job completed in a day. It was great to see a company that truly cares about their customers and truly wants to make sure that they are happy with the finished project. I would highly recommend JD Hostetter and Associates to anyone wanting quality workmanship done by high quality people.

The whole experience was painless from beginning to end and the job looks great. I would hire this company in a minute to do anything, they say they can do.

It took awhile to reach them, they came out to give an estimate. They were polite and professional. We decided to hire them, they called and said they would be out the following day to start. The crew came early in the morning. They told me it would take about one to two days. They completed the job in one day but I feel they rushed through the job at times. I don't feel the quality was the best, especially around the window frames. I called them and they responded well and came right out.

Overall experience was wonderful! The group that painted our home worked quickly without sacrificing quality. We had some issues with paint color that were resolved very much to our liking. The deck stain did not adhere evenly when the first coat was applied (it rained shortly thereafter). When the painters returned to take care of some touch-up work, they put a second coat of stain on the deck, and it now looks fantastic as well. We felt like we were treated very well throughout the entire process and that our satisfaction with the job was important to Ken and the group of painters. Their lead person, Antonio, was great! Job well done! We would not hesitate to recommend and use again when the time comes.

They showed up unannounced! No call ahead, no warning. They didn't know what we wanted estimates on even though I had told their office. They were MUCH more expensive then other companies. On top of this inflated estimate they wrote themselves in a 20% profit to top it off. When he left he said that they won't call and bother me it was up to me to make the decision. A week later he calls. Not at all impressed with this company.

My overall experience was good, but I was a little concerned with the mess they left when they were finished. Overall is was a good experience, but I am uncertain if I will use them again due to the fact of the mess they left.

We are very pleased with the final result. However, this followed a couple of disappointments. During the powerwashing, four screens were damaged. Second, our estimate stated that rotten wood/trim would be replaced as necessary. Yet a rotten frame board around the garage door was painted over after filling a large hole with caulk rather than replacing the wood. The paint cracked and yellowed immediately in this area. We called the office and representatives returned to replace the wood and repainted. The company has a website lising the order of jobs, which allows the customer to estimate when their work will be done. However, the order of jobs seemed to be arbitrary. The only advance notice that the crew was coming was a phone call that they were on their way. Overall, the job was completed to our expectations, it just took a follow up phone call and an extra visit.

They said they needed to come by to give me an estimate. They never called when they came to assess the damage. I then received an estimate in the mail for $7,000. I am not sure what they looked at, but another company did the work I needed for $125. I was so shocked by the estimate, and the fact that they had never called me back to explain.

The job was completed quickly and professionally, according to the schedule promised.

All the crews were phenomenal. The new fiber cement siding looks fantastic. The exterior painting that they did really sets the Hardi-Plank siding off. The neighbors love it.
