HE WAS VERY PLEASANT, SEEMED TO KNOW WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT AND LOOKED PROFESSIONAL, BUT EVERYTHING THAT WE SAID WE WANTED DONE HE SAID THAT THE WORK WOULD BE TOO EXPENSIVE. AS WE WERE EXPLAINING WHAT WE WANTED DONE, HE WAS DOUBTFUL ABOUT THE ENCLOSURE, HE THOUGHT THAT THEY WOULD HAVE TO TAKE ALL OF THE CONCRETE PATIO OUT. HE TOLD US THAT WE COULD NOT HAVE A CATHEDRAL CEILING THAT WE WANTED BECAUSE OF THE SHAPE OF OUR ROOF. HE SAID THAT THIS WOULD BE TOO EXPENSIVE. HE ALSO TOLD US THAT HE WOULD HAVE TO TAKE A PORTION OF OUR FENCE OUT WHICH WOULD HAVE DESTROYED OUR LANDSCAPING. I DID HEAR FROM THEM AFTER THAT INITIAL MEETING AND I TOLD THEM AT THAT TIME THAT WE HAD ALREADY MET WITH ANOTHER COMPANY AND WE WOULD NOT BE NEEDING THEIR SERVICES.

We were very pleased with the paint job. What a difference! We were also impressed with the presentation of what they would do. They are extremely thorough and detailed. The only thing we were a little disappointed with is that we had hoped our siding would have been a little cleaner after the power washing but overall we are very pleased.

They came out the same day I called. He took time to come over for a free estimate. I'm still considering hiring them. He left me a nice packet of material and a certificate of insurance to have while I was considering them. He also gave me BBB info and showed me that he had an Angie's List award. The cost also included painting the wrought iron railing, and re-doing the steps to my deck.

I met with Jeff at our home and then at his business to check out the siding samples. Many options were given and Jeff had paint mixed to match the two siding colors we were considering so we could see how it would look on the house. We were not in any hurry to do this project, but Jeff and Mike contacted us and kept us in the loop with our siding and trim orders. Calls and/or e-mail queries were answered quickly. The siding work was very professionally handled and the painting team was very careful and covered all areas not to be painted. The painting team were very thorough in cleaning up after the project and Antonio came back the following day to check on any touch-ups needed.

Mike Young was very responsive and kept me informed on each step of the way. They gave me fast turnaround on the estimate and were able to meet my deadline. He checked after each step to make sure I was happy and the crew did a good, quick job and cleaned up after themselves.

A gutter crew came in, removed the previous gutters. Put up the new gutters. They absolutely knew what they were doing. They were polite, very hard-working (half the time they were running). The new gutters look great!

Power washed and caulked afternoon first day, painted trim second day, Painted flat paint third day.

Company and sales representatives were pleasant to work with and very responsive to questions. They adjusted the quote after discussing the work we sought. Ended up going with another company, as Hostetter's quote was a higher than similar rated company. I would have them bid on future work.

Working with the company was always made easy because of their personality and dedication. Got the job done a week in advance of the quoted time. It's a family business and it shows through their quality of service. Did an excellent job at quality assurance with the gutter replacement.

Spoke with Brenda who informed me that someone would be out in the next few days to do estimate (I did not need to be home). I never received a call back.

They kept delaying the estimate because the job was small. I felt like I got pushed to the bottom of the pile. I wish they would have told me they weren't interested in a small job so I could move on to another company.

We went them because of their professionalism. A couple of the windows were painted shut and they came back immediately to take care of it. We were pleased with them.

I'm very happy with the work they provided. Turn around time was about two weeks from the time I accepted the proposal until the work was completed. I simply went to a paint store, picked my colors, and included the paint selections with my contract. Paul was very good at communicating with me and even started the project a couple days early. They worked around a rainy week and still able to get completed ahead of schedule. I changed the color of the shutters/front exterior door half way through the project and they were quick to respond to the change in scope. I'm going to repaint my bathroom in a couple months and they will be the company I call.

They were very professional. They were on time! They just did a very good job. I'd recommend them.

They had a good price and did a good job, but they were a little slow because they were backlogged.

Jeff gave us a thorough estimate in a reasonable time. Price was not the cheapest, but we were very impressed with his approach and knowledge. He even helped us in identifying some areas the siding company needed to repair prior to painting. His crew, led by David, was friendly and thorough. They even installed shutters for us at no additional cost after painting. The team responded quickly to all questions and phone calls and was always professional.

Pin them down on a time because it got stretched out for us (this could have been because we had a smaller job).

I contacted three contractors. Hostetter's bid was the highest, but I chose them based on reputation and because they alerted me to some signs of deterioration along the bottom edge of the siding. Originally I was scheduled to be 8 weeks out, but I was bumped up and it only took about 2 weeks from the time I contracted to painting. They started to powerwash on Tuesday, but had problems getting their power washer working, so they caulked. The caulking was very thorough. Every crack that should be caulked was. They also fixed some trim that had come loose. Wednesday they began painting. On Thursday they were finishing up and asked me to inspect the painting. I noticed they had not painted the bottom edge of the siding thoroughly. The next day they came back, painted the bottom edge and gave an entire third coat to the siding. I then noticed they had not painted under the windows where the window closes on the sill. Someone came back the following Tuesday and finished the work.

I choose JD Hostetter via Angie's List and was very excited to use them based on the excellent write ups from others. Their quote was very professional and middle of the road price-wise among the 3 bids I got for the job. Based on all the glowing reviews, I had very high expectations about their work. Perhaps too high, frankly. I was a bit displeased with the amount of prep scraping they felt was acceptable for my windows, so I ended up scraping some of it myself. But other than that, the job was done well, so I shouldn't complain too much. I probably would hire them again, but would be more exact about my expectations up front before the job began. Communication is obviously key.

Very careful workmanship, painting was very precise. They were pleasant to deal with, even took care of a broken window. I would use them again.

JD was prompt in responding to the bid request. While we were too late to have the work done last fall, he ensured we would be high on the list for spring. A supervisor helped in paint selection and set up the days and times for work. The crews arrived promptly, were courteous and left things as they were when they arrived (closing windows and locking doors.) The job took two full days. We were very pleased with the end result and the clean up afterward. The supervisor followed up to make sure we were satisfied. We were happy with the wy JD handled the painted gates. There was never an issue. He assumed full responsibility. We would gladly use this company again.

Still waiting. It's been too long in my opinion. I don't like to beg for info.

We really enjoy the windows. The contact I had was Dave Wilson and did a very good job. The installers did a very good job and the product is of high quality. I received 6 quotes and Hostetter had more options of products and everything was outstanding! Mark Collins was exceptional! He was very good, timely, had an eye for detail and wasn t satisfied until the product was as good as he d like it in his own home. He took the cabinet doors to his shop, and he ended up re-doing a door 3 times until he was satisfied! Both of my experiences with this company have been exceptional, they really strive for great customer service and go the extra mile. I definitely plan to use them in the future!

JD Hostetter was great to work with. I mostly spoke with Jeff, and he was VERY kind and patient with me. The crew that was sent (led by Tony and Luis Torres) was extremely nice and thorough. I had very specific desires as to where I wanted the trim, and they listened well and carried through just how I wanted it. The house looks gorgeous - like a different house. It went from very blah to very beautiful! Also, several weeks later I discovered that all of our windows were sealed shut from the paint. Jeff sent Tony back out and they opened all of our windows. We were extremely pleased with the outcome, and have already recommended JD Hostetter to our friends and family. Thanks Jeff!!

Sorry for this late report (job done last summer)! Anyway, interestingly, despite numerous phone calls and promises, siding man never did come out for $11,000+ job; however, painters (after a long delay) finally did come out for $2500 job. Once they got there, they did a very good job, were very professional and courteous, and cleaned up well after themselves. Was not happy with their lack of responsiveness (especially for the siding), but overall was quite pleased with the finished work. Would probably give them one more try.
