From start to finish, Irish Air provided top notch service and attention. Their owners as well as their service technicians are knowledgable and genuinely care about their customers. I will use no one else from here on out.

We first contacted Irish Air at our old house. The air had gone out and the last company told us we'd need to replace the unit. Not only did it turn out we didn't need a new unit, but the A/C worked better than it had in YEARS after just a few hours and a couple new parts. Irish Air saved us thousands. Now that we're in our "new to us" house, we've had to have the guys out twice for maintenance and a repair. They are honest about what we need to do, and what we don't, and I'd trust them over any other HVAC company we've done business with in our 14 years as homeowners. I'm pretty sure they know us by name now. LOL. Hopefully now that we're up and running, we're down to seeing them just twice a year, because I already paid for my maintenance plan for 2017. They have a customer for life here.

******* Nomination for Super Service Award ******* Jim Snyder of Irish Air Heating and Cooling- Indianapolis Story: My wife and I purchased a new air conditioning unit from Jim Snyder of Irish Air Heating and Cooling in April of this year and were impressed with his knowledge and his willingness to compare and contrast various company’s offerings to the models within his featured line. We decided to purchase a very good unit and shopped several dealers for the same brand and models. Irish Air Heating and Cooling was the best price and value of the 5 competitive bids we got. He got the job and we are happy customers. Fast forward to one very hot July afternoon when my 25 year old daughter who is a first time home buyer calls me and says her air conditioner is out. She lives quite a distance from the Indianapolis area so I told her to find a local HVAC company to check it out. As I suspected, her very old unit was junk and needed to be replaced. The HVAC system was probably 20+ years old and was on its last legs. The local HVAC gave her an estimate that exceeded $11,000.00 to replace and install a new system. Understandably upset by the price of a new system, she called me to ask advice. I called Jim Snyder at Irish Air Heating & Cooling and asked if he knew of a reputable dealer in her area she could call for a comparative price and not be taken advantage of because she is a young single woman who, until now knew nothing about heating and air conditioning systems. My daughter lives more than 1.5 hours away Jim said that he was going to be passing through the area on the way to a meeting the following day and could stop by her house, evaluate her system and tell her if repair or replacement would be the best course. Jim did just that, he was able to get her system up and limping along just enough to put some cooling into the house but told her that the existing system was toast. In keeping with his patient approach to teaching people the best way to size and purchase a system he explained the equipment options to my daughter. When done she purchased a 96+ efficiency furnace, a mid-level air conditioner and, a Wi-Fi programmable thermostat for less than half of the other quote. She decided to purchase the system late Saturday afternoon and called Jim; He was there with his installers Monday morning and completed the job by mid-afternoon. My daughter is overjoyed and dad and Irish Heating and Air look like heroes. I send my sincere gratitude to Jim and his organization for going WAY beyond what was expected. His great pricing and service far exceeded our expectations. My father in law just told me that his furnace needs to be replaced too. Company rep promptly arrived and provided a service estimate, which I accepted. Irish Air completed the requested services to my satisfaction in a timely fashion. The cost was reasonable, I will definitely use them again for future Heating and Cooling services.

After calling another service and receiving no answer, I called Irish Air. The office staff were very polite and took contact info all the details of the problem. They said a service technician would contact me soon with an estimated arrival time. A technician, Jim, was in my area. He called me with 30 minutes to let me know he was on his way. He arrived and quickly diagnosed the problem. He explained it do me along with the estimated costs. He had the parts so once I approved, he went right to work replacing the starter on the outside unit. He had it back up and running within a hour. I was very happy with Jim's speed and professionalism. I will certainly call Irish Air with any future HVAC needs!

After 6 years using the company that installed our system we now know that was a huge mistake. Over charging and misdiagnosis from unqualified techs I beleive have been the issue the entire time. For this specific repair on our outdoor heatpump we had 4 techs onsite for diagnostics and went 5 days with no AC. End the end they advised we change the reversing valve, which had been replaced two years prior at a cost of $1234. The quote this time was $1436. So for the good news. I submitted an online request for Irish Air to provide a second opinion at 7:30pm on a Tuesday evening. I received a call about 5 minutes later from Jim at Irish Air. He offered to perform a diagnostic the following day by 12pm, no charge for the second opinion. Arriving on time, within about an hour I received a txt from Jim with Irish to call back. His diagnostics had already resolved the issue with the heatpump. Not only had the previous company diagnosed the issue incorrectly, their attempt had damaged more parts from incorrect wiring. The final verdict, Irish Air had the unit running in an hour, it did not require a reversing valve, for only $380. I cannot say more about their honesty, professionalism and technical expertise. Thanks again Irish Air.

I had three other quotes from other local companies, one of was almost 50% more than what Irish Air offered! It was a relief to speak with a sales person that not only had technical expertise, but genuinely wanted to get the right equipment for your needs at the best price. Others were clearly trying to pad out their numbers or ridiculously mark-up their prices. Installation went great. There were some delays regarding getting the equipment, its understandable considering I booked the installation the day before. It would have been good to have the delays communicated, but honestly the professional service and great work by the employees overshadowed any delays or little lapses in communication. I'd recommend them to others easily.

Before we closed on our property we contacted several HVAC companies for quote for the cost to replace a dead heat pump. Jim from Irish Air was the most responsive, and most trustful. He was able to meet with us on specific time at the property. After checking the heat pump unit and furnace and considering our needs, he discussed different options with us, and within one day emailed us the written quote for the option we chose. He was able to send his crew to install the heat pump unit as soon as we closed on the property. The installation job was done very professionally. We have been very happy with the new heat pump, and with Irish Air.

We have used Irish Air for years and recommend Jim to everyone we know. His service is A+!!! He is responsive to a fault and unlike other companies, looks for solutions that will save you money rather than immediately suggesting you purchase a new system. He is honorable, knowledgeable and incredibly trustworthy. He runs a debt free company, with 6 or so trucks, and teaches his employees to service their clients in the same respectable way that he does. Jim has become more than an HVAC guy to our family - he is a friend.

The friendly overly chatty technician first suggested he'd need to reroute all the lines even though they'd worked for twenty years. He then sprayed detritus all over the room when he forced air through the line to clear it. The biggest disappointment was that he left water leaking from beneath the furnace for two days that had not been an issue before. I called him and he did return and admit that he'd left a section loose causing a leak. When water persisted for another day, I contacted him but he would not respond and has yet to do so. He stated that he is "very proud of my work ethic" and "my boss wishes he had two of me". I was extremely disappointed with the service.

It went better than I could ever dream. The crew was punctual and very professional. Their work superb and they did a fabulous job cleaning up. I have never had a better experience using an outside contractor.

Prompt, courteous, professional through entire process. Very experienced with new technology, information, and has installed over 60 of the high efficient "communicating" Carrier high efficiency systems. They know what they are doing. Very clean install which was very important to me. System is exceptionally quiet and exceptionally capable. 99% ofthe time I do not even know it is running without looking at the thermostat. Thermostat Programming is easy, and love the features of seeing therm usage, energy cost, and operating details of system, as well as single touch 5 day weather forecast. Most of the time it strolls along at 40%. Love variable speed fan, and modulating gas features. Helped me with registration of equipment and rebate submission. Looking forward to gas savings and electric savings from the features/benefits of the system. Installed high quality ac at same time and realized savings. The new ac is a work of art. I am a very particular homeowner, and it is rare that I am this pleased with a purchase. This company has reasonable overhead, tons of experience and qualifications, which allow them to provide very high quality systems at what I consider to be very fair and reasonable prices. This is my perspective from having spent decades in sales and marketing. I just really could not be happier. My suggestion is to get several estimates with high quality brands, and, make sure that Irish Air is in the mix.

I first called them in November because of ongoing problems with my existing heating system. Jim and Tim evaluated the existing system and after a temporary fix, and a reasonable quote (compared to others) I decided to have them replace it. Matt was the primary person doing the installation, he arrived on time and with minimum disruptions completed the job in about six hours.

After quickly diagnosing the issue with the flame sensors, gas valve, and fan motor, the technician was able to replace the necessary parts. The technician was very polite, professional, and got our furnance running in a timely manner. Please Note: This is the third time we have worked with Irish Air; and, they have kept our current equipment running without having to purchase a whole new furnace and heat pump!!! Irish Air has once again proven they are very trustworthy, reliable, and dependable! Given my current HVAC system is 15+ years old, we are looking into the Carrier Infinity (Greenspeed) System based on the Irish Air Angie's List reviews. While researching the best HVAC systems to purchase, Carrier equipment rates at the top of several manufacturers. We are pleased that Irish Air is a factory authorized dealer of Carrier equipment.

Irish was a pleasure to work with...Jim Snyder is very conscientious, professional and accommodating. Jim and his crew returned to our home on several occasions after the install to make certain everything was working as specified. Matt (Jim's technician) was wonderful, friendly, and extremely thorough. I would highly recommend Irish Air.

OUTSTANDING!! My husband and I had a wonderful experience while working with Mr. Snyder from Irish Air! Mr. Snyder did a great job of communicating his knowledge down to our level and making us feel very comfortable with methods for saving money and using our new thermostat with its wifi capabilities. My install went very well. They called me 10 minutes before they were to arrive and immediately got to work. All the installers were very friendly and courteous. I embarrassingly had some old fencing and a dog kennel too close to their work space outside, and he moved it without any complaints because I couldn't. I was very impressed with how fast it got done as well, I thought they would be here all day, and it took them under six hours to get it all done, and the old system and water heater hauled away and they looked around and made sure that they didn't leave any trash laying around. Jim also ordered us extra filters so we wouldn't have to buy any for over a year. He made this experience of having to replace an expensive item in my home as painless as possible! Absolutely would send my friends and family to see him!

I decided to shop Carrier Heating and Air Conditioning Systems because they received top ratings from Consumer Reports. I'm a smart shopper, so I decided to call every single Authorized Carrier Dealer. I started with "0" knowledge regarding A/C and cooling systems and I didn't even know what SEERS meant. I found out the higher the Seers number the higher the efficiency. I talked to only the Owners and Managers from different Carrier Dealers and was getting prices from. I would not speak to sales people for this information. It was all very complicated until I spoke with Jim Snyder from Irish Air. He narrowed it all down for me to One Particular Model that he highly recommended and wanted to sell to my mother. It was the top of line and very efficient Carrier Infinity Series. He mentioned that he put two of these units in a doctors home (same model) just recently. I was thinking in my head that my mother is on a very limited income and elderly and I wasn't sure why he was recommending such an extravagant and top of the line Carrier unit for my mother. Now, almost one year later, I truly understand why Mr. Snyder recommended this Top of the line Carrier Unit for my mother. I am so thankful of his knowledge and expertise and his smart decision and helping my mother to make this happen so she could afford to have such a nice and high efficient unit. My mom's unit is the Infinity Series, 16 SEERS, 3 Ton - 2 Stage Electrical Heat Pump with 3 Ton Variable Speed Furnace (air handler). The best feature about this system is that it's a computer controlled thermostat, not a programmable thermostat. The smart computerized thermostat is communicating with the outside heat pump and furnace in the basement. The computer relays messages to the heat pump and furnace when there is no need to run at full capacity. This means that we can save more money on our electric bill. My mom is very money conscious, as she tries to save every penny she can. Last year she only would use the A/C unit when it was over 90 degrees. She probably used it approximately 5-6 times per month in July and August when the weather was above 90. The unit was so powerful, even though she had the thermostat set at 80 degrees, it was still comfortable inside. If the thermostat is set to 79 degrees, shockingly, icy cold air is coming out of the register and inside is cool and very comfortable. I've never seen any A/C unit do that in my life. Also, it was a shock to receive the electric bill when I didn't see much of a change in the amount. By contrast, this past winter time when it was negative 0 degrees, my mother had the thermostat set no higher than 64-65 degrees. Even then the temperature was still comfortable inside the house. I truly thank Jim Snyder. He installed the equipment in the beginning of July 2013 and he stuck around until the end of the month to make sure my mother?s unit was working properly. The reason he wanted to make sure it was running correctly was due to my mother?s duct work and return air supply being weak. The unit was very powerful and because my mom's duct work and return air was so weak, the unit could not run at full capacity. We needed to overcome the narrow duct work and increase air flow, we have two choices in order to increase the return air flow. We were going to have to enlarge the return air filter system. The Air filter system was 16"x20" and it should be increased to 20"x20" x 4" or more. He stated I had two choices in order to increase the return air filter system. The first was having the duct work moved to the right or the furnace moved to the left. So that way the filter system could be wider. When we moved the duct work, we would have to cut at an angle and connect another panel (technical term is called transitional), and that's the easy way to do it. With this method comes some sacrifice of the return air because of the panel being connected at an angle. The second way, which is the hardest way, but also the best way and most time consuming, was to tear down the furnace (air handler), which was sold previously and re-install the unit and recharge the Freon. Irish air has 2 choices and they are going the extra mile to help my mom increase the air flow problem. They wanted to do everything right so they chose the hard way at no cost. It took a full day to install it, just like when they first installed it in the beginning of July 2013. In order to overcome narrow duct, work he went the extra mile to enlarge the air filter system and relocate the furnace (air handler) and recharge the Freon. When they installed in the beginning of July they were here early in the morning until around 6pm. It was the same when they did the second repair. In order to improve air flow inside the house, they enlarged two return air vents and also cut a hole in the kitchen and installed another register. They also put a few dampers in the unit to control air flow on top of everything else they did! They did whatever they could to improve the return air flow in my mother?s house and we are very grateful for their time and efforts to ensure everything was working correctly. Mr. Snyder's prices were very reasonable and he didn't play the "game" like others did. I had shopped around and his prices were extremely reasonable. I want to thank him every day for his smart decision for installing and recommending this unit for my mother. I can judge people, even on the phone, and I wasn't impressed with the other authorized dealers and felt they were not very trustworthy. I did not feel this way about Mr. Snyder or his company. I was frustrated about the air flow, even though it wasn't his fault and sometimes was even a little nasty with him. Even then he was very polite and tolerated my bad behavior. I later apologized and felt bad. I love this company because it is a family operated business. All of his family members were very kind and nice. I highly recommend this company to anyone who is shopping for an air conditioning system/service. I also recommend the Carrier Infinity Series. It is a great investment that you can enjoy for many years.

The original diagnosis was done by the owner of the company. He ran out of time to fix it so he called one of his technicians to come and complete the repair. I was very pleased with the w work and the fact that the owner went out of his way to make sure we had it repaired that day. This year I had the same problem and called Irish Air again and the lady who answered the phone was extremely rude. She sounded as if she was very irritated that I was calling. When she answered the phone she did not acknowledge that it was a business I was calling and sounded as if I was bothering her. When I identified my reason for calling she informed me that they were very busy and she was not going to go out of her way to get a message to the owner. I ended the call and called someone else.

I received bids from Bryant, Carrier and Tempstar. Irish Air offered me the best price for the optimum configuration. They beat the same like system from Bryant by $2,777! The bid process and install went very well. The Irish Air team was great to work with, fast, and did a marvelous job. The house is noticeably more comfortable. And our electric and propane bills will drop by a great deal. I highly recommend Irish Air.

I have always been very happy with their service! I was unhappy with the service I received in November and Jim promply refunded my payment. I will use them again with no reservation.

Follow up on inquiries, questions, details was really outstanding. More reasonable on price and very conscientious on installation. I definitely would consider using them again. I bid 3, the 2 other were quality businesses. I trusted this one and they did a very good job getting right hvac system installed. I like that they are an integrated family business. With other companies in past, I never knew who, and how qualified, when someone showed up.

After a short period of usage, the device started leaking water everywhere. We called Irish out to repair it, but it started leaking again after a couple weeks. Eventually we had it uninstalled.
