Indiana Dog Fence

Bob Swarm, general manager, gave the estimate. He offered suggestions and how best to contain our animal. The estimate was given and explained in a timely and highly professional manner. All aspects of the system were explained throughly to include the placement of wire, receiver, transmitter, collar and training program plus batteries. Actual start date had to be changed a couple of times, but it was due to the weather conditions. Once the fence was installed, training was scheduled and we were off and running. The fence has contained my dog and given me the free time I needed. Remember when you think about an invisible fence, there is a company out there named invisible fence, but others are also in the arena, such as Per Stop who did an excellent job.

I first met with Bob Swarm in May, 2007 and he provided me with a written estimate. Due to various delays on our end (we didn't move in to the home until late August, 2007), I did not get back with Bob until the first week in October, 2007. They installed the system within 5 days from my call (those 5 days included a weekend) and it was handled professionally, efficiently and without mess or hassle. The installer, Brian, was very pleasant and did a very nice job. Even with the passage of so much time since the estimate was written the price quoted was honored. Bob came out as scheduled a few days after installation and spent time with the dog and me fine tuning training. Our dog is safely contained (on a very busy street) and now can run and play without being on a leash. We are all very pleased and highly recommend Pet Stop!

Unlike another company that I had consulted, Pet Stop recommended one service call, rather than two, to mark the wire and move the fence, saving me $50. The technician arrived on time and worked efficiently.

They were very punctual and experts at working with and teaching the animals. They used a very small amount of electricity at first and taught us and the animals how to look for the beeps at first to avoid a shock. They are very reasonably priced. They wanted the pets to learn safely and securely so they wouldn't get hurt.

They gave us a couple of free batteries for the box. They came out and made adjustments when the dog was still getting out. It works real good!

Had to wait an inordinate amount of time to get fence installed. Granted there was snow on the ground, but the snow had been gone and the temperature had warmed up for over two weeks. My neighbor called me and told me she called her electric fence company and they would install my fence in two days. I called Pet Stop and told them this, and I finally got my fence installed in 5 days. The gentlemen misplaced my electric fence and gave a smaller area than could have been given, as per Bob Swarm. The installer, never said he was giving the first lesson for the dogs and me. I had to take my dogs to the vet for an appointment that I had. I was told that I would call and come out for the 1st of 2 lessons. No one called. I finally called, and Bob came out. Said there was a miscommunication. We only got 1 visit instead of the two in the contract. The installer did NOT cover the cut in the driveway for the cable used to make the loop. After two phone calls, it still isn't repaid.

Great. They came out as soon as the ground thawed and the installed the fence. Training went well.

They did a good job for me, and their prices and work was better than everyone else's.

Overall, we like our underground pet fence. It is more attractive than a chain link fence, and there is no maintenance (unlike a wood fence). I'd say the chance of your dog getting out with an underground fence is about the same as your dog getting over or under an above-ground fence. FYI -our beagle insists on being carried over the border when we want to walk her out of the yard even when she isn't wearing her collar. I'm not sure how you'd deal with that issue with a larger dog.

It went very well. These guys know there stuff. They came to my house and explained to me the differences in collars and fencing, as well as explaining to me about the concerns I had with weather, etc. They were very knowledgeable about what they are doing. Installation was very good. They helped train my dog and got me going. My dog went through the barrier once during training and never again. He hears that beep and backs away.

They were responsive and had a great service. I'm very satisfied.

Good product, easy to deal with. Sales and installation appointment were both on time. Follow up (training) appointment was over 1 hour late. After 35 minutes, I called and the rep did not know what was going on, and promised to have the tech call me. Call came after another 20 minutes saying they were on their way.

Super guy. He worked with me well. I lived in Anderson and worked in Indy. He did a really great job. He was very punctual.

She was great, and the price was reasonable, but we decided to go with a wooden fence instead.

Their estimate was higher than another estimate I received. Their guarantee wasn't as good either.

We got quotes form this company and Invisible fence. Like this one better, since it was about the same cost and had more options to change in the setup if my dog figures out ways to escape the system.

Came for an estimate. The presentation was excellent and I was going to go with them. Called and left message saying so, but did not get return call so after 4 days I called Invisible fence and went with them as they basically matched the offer from Pet Stop and I bought more professional training for the dog. Can't imagine why someone goes to trouble of a one hour presentation and then does not return a phone call.

PRICE WAS FOR LAST SERVICE. THEY'RE ALWAYS QUICK TO COME OUT WHEN THE FENCE ISN'T WORKING.

VERY GOOD. THE WORK WAS DONE TO MY SATISFACTION IN A VERY SHORT TIME AND WITH A MINIMUM OF DISRUPTION. SALES REPRESENTATIVE AND INSTALLER WERE BOTH VERY RESPECTFUL OF ME, MY PET, AND MY HOME. WORK COMPLETED IN A TIMELY MANNER.

THE INSTALLER WAS ON TIME, PERFORMED THE CONTRACTED WORK AND, PROVIDED COMPLETE INSTRUCTIONS AND TRAINING TO MY COMPLETE SATISFACTION.

I MADE ONE PHONE CALL TO REPORT THE LINE CUT AND THE REST WAS TAKEN CARE OF AS PART OF MY PURCHASE. THEY HONOR THEIR COMMITMENTS.
