I know they have a good rating but I wasn’t that pleased with them. They did not clean the drains to my satisfaction. I thought the price was a bit much for what I got.

He really took his time to check everything, was very thorough and fixed everything very well.

Bob took one look at the problem and knew right away what it was, and fixed it quickly (a part of the pipe was too short, and when a lot of water was dumped out, such as from a dishpan, it dropped the pipe enough to cause it to leak). I then asked if he could take a look at one of the bathroom sinks, which was stopped up, and he took care of that in about 5-10 minutes. The bathroom sink is something where most other companies pull out their snakes, and reel out feet and feet; Bob realized it was just a plug of hair, and got it out right away. It was very refreshing how quickly he diagnosed and took care of things! They will be our plumber of choice from now on.

I learned about Hope Plumbing after receiving an email offer for a humidifier install. They installed a new whole-house humidifier, along with performing annual maintenance on my gas furnace. I could not be more impressed with the overall experience - the tech was very courteous, did a fantastic job with the humidifier installation, and the furnace servicing was top-notch. I am extremely happy with the new humidifier - no more dry air and static electricity! The tech did a tremendous job performing annual maintenance on the furnace as well. I highly recommend Hope Plumbing, and will call on them for all of my future HVAC needs.

They did a great job. The guy lives in my neighborhood. He came in for me after school and worked with my schedule.

Larry even arrived the same day as called which was earlier than expected. Hope Plumbing took my Bie Deal coupon even though I had not made advance appointment. Larry the technician was very pleasent and did not leave any mess to clean up. I will definitely use them again.

This is the worst experience I had on Angie's List in the many years that I have been a member, which is the reason I have put this evaluation off so long. After purchasing a "Big Deal", with Hope Plumbing, I scheduled an appointment. Two days later, a staff member called to see if I could change my date because he wanted another worker to check the water softener. His rational was that "Charlie" was better at water softners. I rescheduled the appointment. Second appointment--Hope Plumbing did not show or did not received a call. I tlephoned to inqurie about the "no show" and was told it must have been a mix up. Finally, Charlie showed up on the third appointment, 9-16-11. I was left a sheet indicated the water softner was working. Also, the sheet read that I needed to flush the water heater or buy a new one. They could flush it for an "additional $209." I had not asked for the water heater to be checked. I decided to get a second opinion. Thanks to Cameron's Plumbing and Aqua Systems for a second opinion and revive my confidence in a company's professionalism. My water softener needed a valve which Aqua Systems explained to me how to remove the top unit so I could save some money. Acqua Systems replaced valve: I replaced unit. Savings: $150. Cameron Plumbing checked my water heater which was only a year old. It checked out perfectly--nothing wrong with it and did not need flushed or new one. Savings: $209 or more if I purchased a new one. When I requested a refund from Hope Plumbing indicating the lack of service and inaccurate assessment, the response was anger and condescension. In all my years, I have never been treated or talked to in such a manner by a company staff member. While trying to explain the lack of a working softner, he tried to convince me that it was working and that I could not recognize whether it was working or not. The conversation did not go well. When I asked questions, he became argumentative and confrontive. I was told "well, sometimes we have to bring it down to a persons' level". When I asked if it was because I was a women that he was talking to me in this manner, he became more rude, if that was possible. Honestly, I could not believe a business who was rated highly on Angies List was this so incompent and antagonistic. This conversation was with a manager, not a worker. The support staff was very kind. After reflection, I am skeptical of the motives of this company and their treatment of customers. I cannot recommend this company on any level. Honestly, it wasn't the money of $39 that I paid, but tit became the principle of business ethics. ****After reading the response from "Jack Hope", I was completely appalled. I must have been talking with someone else at this company, because the response comments were if I were talking with someone else. The answers were not accurate. I did not become upset until he stated, :"sometimes we have to bring it down on people's level". His tone had been and continued to be condescending and he did not say "we have to explain in a very basic way for our customers". That is a complete fabrication. At no time did I say that the water softener had been working and stopped. Charlie said this comment, not me. Aqua Systems made their diagnosis on the phone after I told them what was wrong. They were professional and responded with knowledge and solutions. Sarcastic was the tone of the owner, not the customer during this converstion. As witnesses, I was in my office at the time, on speaker phone, if we want to determine accuracies. I also have written documentation from "Charlie". At no time did I ever said "mean man". I did call back and thank the receptionist for being professional. As I stated in my first report, I have been with Angie's List for a long time. Never have I had such an experience with any of the other vendors. I am disappointed at the level of distorted content in the response. I notice there was no response or explaination to the first appointment cancellation, the second appointment as a "no show". It is no surprise me that "they had a good laugh" after the conversation at the expense of a customer. I am glad they found some humor in this situation. I believe the last comment of Mr. Hope's response solidifies my comments and experience with this company. Sarcasm at its best.

The fellow that did it didn't realize that he was doing it wrong. He actually hooked up the battery incorrectly. I read the instructions the next day, called him back and told him to do it. I thought he knew what he was doing but he didn't. He came back and made it right.

Responsive / On time / Friendly / Efficient and I thought gave a fair price - Will use and recommend again

I bought the special deal and so it saved me quite a bit in terms of price. The overall service was good. The gentleman that came here was very courteous and well groomed. He wasn’t trashy looking or anything. He was very nice and very accommodating. He was on time and he did a good job. I will probably use their services again in the future.

We have used Hope plumbing at least 4 different times for various projects (leaking sink, refitting piping and installing the sink after new countertops installed, shower drain issue, etc.) and every time they have been extremely professional, punctual, affordable, and great to work with. We will continue to use Hope for our plumbing problems and I always recommend them to friends.

called them two different times, person on phone stated she would have him to call me back to set up appointment. as of 11-l8-11 I haven't heard back from them. They should not be paid the 39.00 dollars I paid. bad first time experience on Angie's list.new member as of 9-14-11.

No call and no show for scheduled appt.

We discovered our water heater died in the afternoon, then called for an estimate. The call was returned quickly, we texted a picture of the broken water heater. Shortly later we got a call back with several options and costs. The next day they arrived on time and installed the new water heater. Installation went quickly and smoothly. Everything looks great and the hot water has returned.

They spent a lot of time with me helping me decide what the best products would be to meet my needs. They explained everything and over all did a good job. I will use them in the future.

Everything went fine. The water line for the fridge wasn't at first done exactly how we needed, but on a return trip, they made good on getting that revised for no additional charge. Overall a great experience and similar to the time we used Hope before to install a replacement sump pump. Company is very responsive and professional. For these visits I worked with Jack Hope over the phone, initially providing information and quotes. Then Tim Alexander came to perform all of the work. Great experience overall.

It went well. They did a fine job. They were quick and efficient. The guy who came out was cute.

They did a good job. However they could have been a little more careful with how they performed the repair, because there was minimal damage to our fixtures in our bathroom.

Technician, Brad, arrived at the home and was prompt and very professional. Service was performed very efficiently and the softener has made a world of difference. My husband was home at the time of the install and I had reminded him that we did not want the drinking water nor the outside water softened. We previously obtained an estimate of $1620 from service master a.k.a Village plumbing, who informed that our outside water lines and the kitchen were on different valves, and would therefore not be affected by a water softener. Somehow with this install we now have soft water in the kitchen, Brad informed that this could be fixed for an additional cost which I am not thrilled about.
