He is great. He helped to give us an estimate and we have an appointment at their showroom soon. I just liked him and I thought he was very nice. His equipment is all up to date. He showed us pictures on his ipad.

It was fine. They gave a reasonable estimate, and the services seems to be good. Just did not use them.

They came out and they kind of assessed my mom’s house for supports like old-age supports horizontal and vertical stabilizer and also some ideas on better access to that. They came out and did that, gave us an estimate and we thought that it was good. It was a pressed time frame but they came out installed the stability bars and re-fixed the bathroom door so that it had a wider opening. The work was done very well. They were quick in and out. There were no problems with getting it scheduled. We were just very very pleased with the work that they did. They did timely scheduling of work and did high quality work. It was time of Christmas when he came out to do the estimate and he had brought his children with him at that time which I thought was very nice. So he worked around our schedule to do work for us. They came out to us and brought the materials as it is unique type of materials and so we didn’t have to go to the shop or anywhere.

Kent was wonderful to work with. He has lots of experience with child-proofing homes and helping elderly people and those with disabilities make their homes more safe. We have a child with a disability, and needed handrails installed in a variety of places, but were not sure what would work the best. Kent spent a lot of time going over the options with us until we felt very comfortable. He installed the gate himself and a contractor installed the handrails. All the work was done very well, on-time and everything was cleaned up. We are very pleased with how the handrails look and best of all how they help our daughter be more independent. I would definitely recommend Home Safe Homes.

Kent installed a stair lift on our basement stairs. He responded promptly to our initial call, came out and explained the device and left us with color booklet. We chose to go with him because of good report on Angie's List & recommendation from a family member who knew him & his business. It took approximately 1 week for the stair lift to arrive (just as he'd told us). Kent and his associate, Scott came out and did the installation. Although he ran into a few difficulties, he stuck with it and made it right. He gave us a demonstration & made sure we knew how to use the lift before he left. We have been using it without any difficulty- sure makes taking the laundry up and down the stairs easier! We found Kent (and Scott) to be very pleasant and professional.

The price was great because it was what we needed done and we didn't have the ability to do it so it was fair. The job was great and I would recommend him. He was working for himself and did a great job. He was easy to contact. I think he has grown since I used him.

They kept good contact with me. They were pleasant people they cleaned up there work well. Their workmanship has held up.

Our grand-daughter is 19 months old and we needed some additional safety around our backyard swimming pool. I found Kent online through the manufacturer of the pool fencing we were looking for. My girlfriend in Florida has used this same fencing around swimming pools and suggested that I find a local distributor. Kent responded immediately to an email I sent him, set up an appointment to come over and did so in a very timely manner. We liked his product and his suggestions and placed the order. He installed the fence exactly as he had described and it is perfect for what we wanted. He also installed 2 "Magna Locks" on our pool gates. He was very professional and reliable. We would use him again if we have a need!

It went excellent. HSH did a great job and we feel that our baby is protected.

The home inspection was wonderful. Kathy went through every room and made suggestions for specific changes we could make or for products which would make the room safer. The rest of the process didn't go so well. Kent recommended many products which he could sell to us. He uses Kidco products. I found most of the products cheaper on the internet and at local stores. However, we went ahead and ordered some of the products from him and made arrangements to have them installed due to our own time constraints. The original installer didn't know how to install several gates and a cabinet lock. It took Kent and the installer 4 trips to install everything. One of the gates that was recommended & ordered we decided to change because we didn't want to drill into the wall. When the lazy susan lock was installed the wood was split inside the cabinet. I think Kent knows his products and childproofing very well. However, if you have the time and some handyman abilities it would be much cheaper to do it yourself. The $50 we spent on the initial visit was credited to our final bill. I would highly recommend that part of the service for new parents even if you don't order anything else. Kent did adjust the bill for the problems we had.

They were very accommodating about coming on short notice on the weekend. It was certainly a fine job but, not quite as in-depth as a child proofer we had in another state who was very detail-oriented and over-the-top in his thoroughness. There was some confusion when they stated they weren't familiar with and didn't carry a product which was featured on their website, then later stated they could order it. The quote for installation seemed high, so I bought products from them and installed them myself. They are a great resource, especially when Babies R Us doesn't have what you need, although their prices are not inexpensive. Overall, it is worth it to keep your children safe!

Excellent, punctual and friendly. Mr. McCool came out our home to do all of the services. Everything was done in a timely manner. There was a problem with some of the latches after a few weeks and he came out to switch them to different latches at no charge. My 15 month old twins are much safer in our home thanks to his services.

This is the second time Kent has been to my home. He is punctual, friendly, and I've been very pleased with the quality of his work. I would recommend him without reservation.

I was disappointed with my experience. Although Kent was very pleasant, I felt that for the money spent, the job could have been more thorough and professional. Maybe he was just having a bad day, but after he left, we found loose screws in drawers (along with sawdust) that hadn't been put in to the locks. We found a switchplate screw on the living room floor where our baby plays. One of the gates isn't mounted correctly and as a result doesn't work well. Again, with what I was charged (I could have bought the materials at Babies R Us or online for less than I paid item-for-item). I wish I had hired my handyman to install equipment that I had purchased online. I think it would have been cheaper and a better quality job. I really don't like giving bad reports (especially when someone seems like a nice person), but I felt that because it is something as important as childproofing, others should know of my experience.

HOME SAFE HOMES DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. THE OWNER, KENT MCCOOL, IS CLEARLY PASSIONATE ABOUT CHILDPROOFING. HE WAS ON TIME AND DID THE WORK QUICKLY AND EFFICIENTLY. HE ALSO RECOMMENDED SOME OTHER SAFETY AND CHILDPROOFING DEVICES AS WELL AS CHILD SAFE CLEANING PRODUCTS. I DID SOME PRICE COMPARISONS OF THE PRODUCT AND FOUND HOME SAFE HOMES PRICE TO BE VERY COMPETITIVE.

VERY POSITIVE AND DID A THOROUGH ANALYSIS OF AREAS IN THE HOME THAT COULD BENEFIT FROM CHILDPROOFING WITHOUT PRESSURING ME TO BUY ITEMS.

VERY NICE YOUNG GENTLEMAN THAT IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT WHAT HE DOES.

I WAS VERY PLEASED! HE HAS A VARIETY OF LATCHES & LOCKS TO WORK WITH MANY TYPES OF CABINETS & DRAWERS.

KENT IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE IN THE AREA OF CHILDPROOFING. HE CAN LOOK AROUND A ROOM AND VERY QUICKLY NAME SEVERAL THINGS THAT ARE A HAZARD. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HAVING HIM COME OUT AND AT LEAST CONSULT ON WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE TO CHILDPROOF A HOME. HE IS ALSO VERY FAST AT INSTALLING. HE WAS IN AND OUT IN LESS THAN 30 MINUTES AND THAT EVEN INCLUDED SHOWING ME HOW TO TAKE THE GATE ON AND OFF THE WALL.

I HAVE SEEN EXACT PRODUCTS THAT HE SOLD US AT ONLINE STORES AND AT RETAIL STORES AND HIS PRICING HAS BEEN CONSISTENTLY THE SAME OR MANY TIMES, LESS. VERY PROFESSIONAL AND TRUSTWORTHY. (FORMER SCHOOL TEACHER AND HAS 4 CHILDREN OF HIS OWN) HIGHLY RECOMMEND AND WOULD USE AGAIN.
