Description of Work: We bought a dishwasher from HH Gregg, and it took the company five separate occasions [and two months] to install the dishwasher correctly. I am still awaiting communication regarding the damage in my kitchen due to the faulty installation process.

We had bought a washer and dryer from them several months ago and had the same positive experience. What kept us coming back is an incident that happened a year ago May. My husband and I moved from an apartment to a house in the morning and my sister and her husband from Montana were coming to visit that afternoon. We had bought a twin mattress and box springs from HH Gregg but when my husband picked it up he didn't really check size and when he got it to the house it was a full size. I called the store and told them what happened and when they checked the records we had paid for a twin and got a full. The manager apologized and said they would deliver a twin and pick up the full. They did that before my sister and brother-in-law arrived. I had just finished putting the sheets on the new twin when they arrived. Sometimes it is the small things that win us over.
Description of Work: I gave the salesman my budget for all new kitchen appliances. He showed me a refrigerator that was too expensive. He told me to look around and he would do some figuring. In 3 minutes he had picked out 4 matching appliances very close to my budget, including a package discount, and with every function I need for them to perform. Thanks, Ed. Two separate deliveries were scheduled for the next day. All four installation men were pleasant, professional and fast; two for the refrigerator and stove and two for the dishwasher and microwave.

I thought H H Gregg would be the ones to come to my home to repair the TV. I didn't find out that they subcontracted their work to Tops Electronics until I was routed to them by phone. I stayed home an entire day waiting for someone to come fix the TV and no one ever called or came. After I was routed to Tops by telephone from H H Gregg, I caught them in 3 lies with excuses. They tried telling me that there was a snow emergency all over Indianapolis, when it was a few select counties up north and she also tried telling me she called, but it didn't show up on my caller ID and I was home all day. The bottom line is that they never called or showed up at my home so I really don't trust companies that H H Gregg subcontracts for repairs. I've been buying appliances from H H Gregg since 1983 but will think twice about that after this experience with Tops Electronics. H H Gregg needs to start using trustworthy, reliable people for their appliance repairs.

Two guys came out to deliver my range. They showed me how to operate it. They were very nice. They called twice once to let me know they were 3 hours away and once to let me know they were on their way. Jason Grider was the salesperson.

On my first visit I was just looking around and he didn't put any pressure on me, then told me if I wanted the best deal I would come back during the New Years Sale. Appliances were delivered the next day, but the washer was not installed correctly. Hot and cold water supply lines were switched and it was not balanced correctly. They sent out a service tech the following day and took care of it. Problem with such large companies is that the odds of running into untrained people is pretty good due to their high turnover. Remember your salesperson's name in case you run into any problems.
