Very good, the young man that supervised the work was on time and professional, I left him a key to my house because I work and everything went very well, the installers did a great job keeping the inside and outside of my home clean, windows were all washed and cleaned before they left, I will be having them back this summer to bid on the remaining windows in my house. he also told about turning the windows in on my taxes with the energy saving info on the window, which I would have not know about, and it was able to give me a deduction on my taxes, it was greatly appreciated.

They did a good job. It was a quality installation. It was just an excellent job. They have the best price.

Rich was very good to work with; answered emails promptly. He communicated well. And he showed up a few times to gauge work.

The entire job went very well. There was a crew of five people who worked diligently and in a day and a half they had removed the old roof, replaced any wooden decking that required it, and put on the new shingles. They cleaned everything up very well and the next day a truck towed away the dumpster which held the old shingles.

They did replace the roof but they did not replace any of the rotted wood. When I brought this to their attention they did come back out to try and replace it but they had to do it from the inside and it is a botched job. There also is still some rotted wood left and some of the work was not done correctly. I also feel they overcharged me for the work they did do. They also had very poor communication as they never let me know when they were coming out to the property. I was very disappointed with their work and would not use them again.

We have this company clean our gutters once or twice a year, and we never need to do it ourselves. They are very punctual and professional. Once I felt they did not do as good a job as they had in the past and I let them know. They immediately came back out and cleaned the gutters again. I am very pleased with this company.

I had previously used their services for the replacement of new gutters. I had also asked them for an estimate on new roof, but they were honest and said how it was not ready to be replaced yet. When we had the hail damage, we contracted them for work. They started with the roofing, then the siding, and finished with the trim. The job was completed in about three to four weeks. Clean-up was fine. Nick Heldman was my contact with the company. He was very responsive. I had purchased the paint with the trim and I tried to color match the siding. He was honest and told me that I wouldn’t like the result as it did not match well. Nick was able to find a color match from his own paint supplier. He was attentive and helpful. Everything worked out very well. I would use their services again.

They started job on 2-6-2015. The 2 people that did the job were brother and sister. The man's name was Robert and I didn't ever get his sisters name. They both were professional and pleasant to be around. Robert has been with the company 25yrs and his sister has been with them 10yrs I think. They went out of there way to make sure things were done right. During first day of job we had a little problem with what they were suppose to cover on garage but I talked to the foreman and everything was settled without no problem. This company goes out of their way to please the customer. I really liked that. At the end of Friday they were done for the day and came back Monday. They finished on Wednesday 2-11-15. It took a little longer than I was told but the weather wasn't the best either, but it was no big deal. Overall the work was very good and I would hire them back or refer them to anyone. I had gotten 3 other offers and they had the best offer. With this company you don.t pay for the name like most your paying for the quality of work they do.

He has done roofing, windows, and siding. They are friendly and offer good quality work with a good price.

I will start by saying I?ve only recently become a member of Angie?s List so this is my first experience? and not a good one at that. I ended up with damage to my siding after the last hail storm on Wednesday, April 10th. I started calling companies for estimates on the morning of Thursday, April 11th. I believe I ended up leaving messages for 4 different companies, three of which I found on Angie's List (with referral from a coworker for Heldman's) and 1 that was recommendation from a friend. Both Heldman and the other company had good ratings. I spoke to Rick Heldman who gave me a quote ($150 service fee & $15 per siding panel - est. 5/6 panels, they'd fix the hole for free) for the work just based off my conversation with him. I told Rick I was getting other quotes and would let him know if I wanted them to do the job. In the mean time I spoke with another company that went out the same day and left a quote in my mailbox. The other companies either did not return my call or called after I had committed the job to Heldman (on Monday 4/15) which I chose partly because their quote was less than the other company. My understanding from Nick Heldman was someone would get out to do the work that week. Communication is definitely not their strong suit... On 4/18 I received a call from Rick telling me the distribution center they use for siding does not have mine in stock and it will cost an additional $75 to have the siding shipped so my cost has now gone from $240 to $310 or $360 depending on whether or not I wanted extra siding to store. Well, this put the cost within a few dollars of the quote I got from the other company. I think he said it would take a week or more for the siding to be shipped which now put me going on week #4 with damaged siding (1 piece hanging down and flapping & a hole). At this point because of the lack of communication and the additional cost I decided to call the other company and see if they had the siding in stock. They did and were able to complete the repair on 4/29. Heldman had taken about a 1 foot section of my "GOOD" siding from the front side of my garage to match the color. I spoke to Nick on 4/22 and asked that they bring it back and put it in place. Monday came and went... Tuesday came and went... you get the picture, right and on top of this no follow-up call from anyone. Friday afternoon I called and had to leave a message for Nick... I also called the office to talk to Rick but he was unavailable so I left a message with the woman who answered the phone. At 7:15 pm Friday night I get a call from Rick telling me they do not have the piece of siding any more, they threw it away because it was damaged. This really p***** me off because it was NOT damaged, it was in good shape. He asked me who I was using and I told him who it was. He was supposed to call them and let them know they would pay for 1 piece of siding, which I have not confirmed yet. Overall this was not a good experience for me and I doubt I will look into using them in the future. UPDATE: After I submitted this review, I contacted the company that did the work to find out if Rick Heldman had contacted them about paying for the siding. According to the Division Manager, no calls have been received from Rick Heldman or Heldman Exteriors. In the scheme of things $15 is not a big deal but its the principle of the matter that bother me here. I did not ask Rick to pay for the siding they threw away by mistake, he offered. I called to talk to Rick yesterday afternoon, but of course he was not available and has not returned my call. Definitely not using this company in the future!

Nick came out handled the estimate, insurance loopholes and navigation, and job from start to finish. Heldman does great work, is reliable and honest, and is very expedient. Thank you for a job well done. We are very happy with the outcome.

The other 2 companies I had come out, gave me estimates for full roof replacement, even though the roof didn't really need replaced yet. I thought Heldman Exteriors' honesty was impressive and their workmanship was good. ***UPDATE: Following an April, 2013 hailstorm, I contacted Heldman Exteriors to come back to my home to assess the storm damage. They performed a complete tear-off and re-roof, replaced siding and repainted trim. Nick Heldman worked with the insurance adjuster to determine the scope of our damage and our required repairs. Just as the year prior, they were prompt, professional and willing to help in all aspects of the job. I would totally hire them again.

They were very responsive to everything. They were really quick to get the job fixed and were really good about answering the questions that we had. Their price was really competitive and fair, which is why we ended up using them. Our home insurance covered the cost which ended up being $7000. We will definitely use their services again in the future if we need to.

Overall the project was delayed due to bad weather. Also, communication was a struggle. I felt we communicated well in the beginning with Rck Heldman. But his crew was confused about what they were suppose to do. I attempted to help them by sharing what was suppose to be done - especially the painting. Everyone waited for clarity from Rick. I am not happy with the painting that was done and shared this with Rick. The team used sprayers, the coat was thin in many areas, and some of the brick and windows were sprayed. I requested brush painting with another coat to be applied. Also, my windows were painted shut after they requested me to leave them unlocked. I plan to paint in Spring 2012. Everything else that was completed met our expectations.

Initial work was done fairly well, did have to bring back crew to fix painting they had neglected. However, as problems developed later were completely unhelpful. Found out later they had sided over my dryer vent, took them almost a month to go look and then said it wasn't there fault. Paint started peeling off windows less than two years after work, again a month and multiple phone calls later and they came out and again claimed not their fault, first said they hadn't done some of the painting (I had the paint cans they left behind) and then also claimed some of the boards were rotten causing the paint to peel and I hadn't requested that be fixed (who paints over rotten boards). Had other minor problems including one of the boards they had replaced falling off house, but I'm not willing to deal with them anymore to hear their excuses. If you expect any kind of warranty on their work to be recognized don't use.

Did a good job both on the siding and the gutter shingles.

Nick was an awesome guy. He was very thorough. He was extremely prompt and came out right away. He was very knowledgeable and gave me lots of tips and advice. He was a joy to work with. He was so helpful. There was a gap under my door that was letting air in and I told him I was thinking of replacing it, even though that had nothing to do with the work he came to do he took out his tools and fixed the issue for me. I am very happy that I found Heldman Exteriors.

They quoted me about $4500 to $5000. I also had other work that needed to be done which they said that they would address while doing the siding. I didn?t have much interaction with them. It wasn?t a negative experience at all. They were friendly and helpful when I did talk to them. They came out to do the quote when they said they were going to and I got the quote in a timely manner. I would probably call them again for another quote in the future.
