Very professional and thorough. This was service on a see-through gas fireplace insert (between two rooms / glass on both sides) that is 15-20 years old.We had never had this fireplace serviced, but the on/off switch was becoming intermittent, so we decided to have it checked. Godby has a service whereby they would check all components and thoroughly clean for a flat rate, so we decided to use them. Rick was awesome. He spent over 2 1/2 hours disassembling an reassembling the system. Discovered a loose wire and a melted burn knob, but most importantly, HE DISCOVERED A GAS LEAK at the gas shutoff valve that was fairly significant, and had gone undetected for possibly quite some time. He advised that he is not licensed to manipulate gas lines, and offered the contact information for a plumber who has worked with Godby. Rick was very thorough and cleaned the area afterwards better than he had found it. We discussed the purpose of of the firescreen drapes inside the glass on the fireplace (decorative only) and removed them for us, leaving a cleaner looking view. After cleaning, the flame is nicer as well. I could not be happier and am so glad that we had this done.

I received two follow-up e-mails confirming my estimate time as well as two follow-up phone calls. Mr. Adams arrived on time and gave me an estimate for the cost of replacing my burner assembly for my gas fireplace. He also talked with me about other options to get the fireplace in working order, including converting it to a wood burning fireplace. He spent a good half hour for the estimate and it cost me nothing. Very knowledgeable and professional.

Added a new wood burning insert to our existing basement fireplace. They added a new 6" flue(?) which was around 35' long successfully. Install of the wood burning insert will take place in a few weeks after the tile is setup - we had a more modern tile installed over the top of the existing brick inside. The installer supervisor, Sean, was very clear in communicating what he needed, so it made it easy for me to communicate those to the other trades (electrician and tilers). We bought the $500 coupon for $99 deal and applied it to the purchase. It does not combine with other promotions. Officially, the install is to take place in a few weeks. I do not foresee any issues, but feel confident they can figure it out it issues arise.

Came right in time the day after Christmas and quickly diagnosed and solved the problem in under 30 minutes.

They were wonderful. He took a lot of time to explain things to me and answered all of my questions. He was very professional. The work was fine. There wasn't anything wrong with the fireplace. They just did a tune-up. My interactions with the provider were great.

I stopped in to their showroom to see what it would take to convert my wood burning fireplace to gas. The man that helped me was very knowledgable. He explained it to me in a way I could understand. He showed me all the options and made sure I understood what I would need to do. I purchased the log set while I was there. Then we set up an install date. I called a few days later to request a can of paint to paint my existing door. When the guy came to install the logs he was very professional and personable. He went right to work and as we talked he helped me decide I would be better off with some new doors. He suggested using the paint to paint the back of the fireplace. It has really made a nice difference. Once he was done installing the logs he made sure I knew how to use them. When I got ready to paint the fireplace I turned the pilot light off so it wouldn't catch the paint on fire. When I tried to relight it I had trouble but I called them and they were able to talk me through getting it relit. I was very satisfied with the service and quality of the logs. I graded the price a B only because I am a cheap skate and I thought it was a lot of money for logs. But really did not have anything to compare it to.

Excellent. The company thoroughly checked out the fireplace. I was not having any problems but the fireplace was almost 7 years old and due for a cleaning. The person who worked on the fireplace explained everything in great detail to be sure I understood what was involved in the cleaning, how to maintain, how often to inspect, and use the fireplace correctly. The company was helpful and did everything it said it would do. I am very pleased with this company and the work they performed.

They responded in a timely manner, made the necessary adjustment and did quality work.

I was trying to replace my fireplace doors and wanted a quote or rough estimate for replacement doors over the phone. They would not provide me any estimate, not even a ballpark estimate with dimensions provided by me. I gave up and painted my brass doors black and it worked out perfectly. Frustrating experience. They were polite but did not answer my question.

From beginning to end, they were wonderful and professional to work with. Would recommend to anyone.

The guy who performed the service put protective footwear on and used a towel and shop vac, so there was no mess. He patiently explained how the fireplace works and what various pieces do. After disassembling the glass, logs, and embers, he tested for electrical voltage and gas leakage.

The job went very well overall. They were all very polite and cordial. They arrived on time when they said that they were going to be. They cleaned up and cleared out all the debris and everything so that there was not any mess or anything to do after they left. They were personable and easy to work with. There were no problems with the scheduling and they met their dates when they said that they were going to be here. They were also very flexible. Their price was expensive and it was more than what I wanted it to be but it was the same as the price elsewhere. You would always want to find something cheaper but that is just the nature of the beast.

They were great. They were very helpful in answering all the questions. By looking, they were very detailed and it looks better when they left. They did things that I didn't realize they would do.

They had to order the part for us. We were very happy with the installation. They were very professional and did a great job. We're totally satisfied with the work.

We dealt with Bryan. He was prompt, polite, knowledgeable about his craft, and honest. He was wonderful. We will absolutely call them when it is time for maintenance and if any additional issues arise.

Service tech very knowledgeable, comprehensive job done; took time to call manufacturer for me to check on an issue; Owner also came out to quote me and was very knowledgeable and gave me options versus pushing a particular higher margin product. Excellent establishment and employees.

They did a fantastic job! The Godby employee (don't remember his name, unfortunately) was punctual, even on a very snowy day! He was extremely professional and took the time to set everything up right and walk us through each step. We ill call upon them again should the need arise. I would highly recommend their service!

The Service Dept was great - gave me a service date and then follow up call before hand. The tech was 10 minutes early than prescribed time and he did call 1 hour ahead. The tech was very friendly and explained everything he was doing and he even put some additional embers in the fireplace and placed the logs where it looks great.

The work was scheduled for the second week in December. They came in and cleaned up everything. They found that the valve was faulty and they could not fix that at that time. They did not charge me for that visit at that time. They rescheduled when they got the valve two weeks later, unfortunately that valve did not work and they did not charge for that visit. They re-ordered the valve and when that valve came in it did work and they only charged me for that visit.

They were very good. The guys who came out were very professional and informative. They told us about the problem and showed us. They did what they said they would do.

Looks better than it ever has. Very professional and neat.

It turned out very well. They were on time and did what they needed to do. They cleaned up after themselves.

Installer was great. The piece didn't fit as planned but Sean had it modified to beautifully fit our space. Now it looks like a custom piece.
