They did a great job and I would hire them again. I would recommend them as well.

We did purchase a new fireplace screen. Technician came out and made a template of the opening. The actual screen fit perfectly.

Fortunately Rick was able to clean and grease the part, bringing it back to life and avoiding replacement. He also checked connections, verified no leaks, cleaned glass and freshened up the embers. Only negative was that it took 3 weeks to get someone out here. Price seemed a bit high for work performed, but I had nothing with which to compare it.

Excellent - while the price is high compared to big box stores, the quality is well worth it. No comparison to cheap fireplace doors

Very well! Goos selection in their showroom, knowledgable sales people, good inspection and cooperation with my home remodelers, and a very good installation job. The fireplace works great, and ewe use it a lot. Kicks out the heat!

The installation was done perfectly, cleanly, and professionally. We LOVE the fireplace. After a year, we were having some trouble with the fire lighting. Godby sent out great crews until the problem was fixed. GREAT!!! The Godby employees were the best!

they too forever to respond and then said they won't service fireplaces they didn't install. not good.

It went very well. I think they were very timely. We paid for the service which was $700. We paid for the shower door. They quoted us.

Everything was good. There was somebody who came out to do an estimate and then, there was somebody who came out to do the install itself. So probably at any one point in time, there were no more than two people here. The installation went smoothly. The workers were good. We purchased the Deal and then, it was an item that they had to special order. So I do believe that the actual completion happened like the first week of November.

Godby came out to service our gas log fireplace which wasn't working correctly. I was prepared to have a hefty repair on our hands, but it turns out it was just really dirty. Their price for a service call is definitely higher than some of the competition, but at least they return calls, schedule appointments, and show up when they are supposed to. I appreciate that professionalism and thought the worker who came out to my home did a great job. He was polite, respectful, and kept his work area neat and tidy.

Everything went well from start to finish. We were pleased with the experience from the showroom to the install.

I bought a $99 certificate for $500 toward a direct vent gas fireplace insert. Good deal. I felt like Godby's prices seemed a little high, but the quality was good. The big surprise was the labor cost to install. Almost $900! After the cost of the other accessories were added, the $1900 insert was now up to $4500. I was not happy, but still decided to go ahead. However, the chimney has some issues, and needed a "special" cap installed. I understood that and was expecting a little higher cost. It was $500 more! The salesman tried to explain that it had to be custom made, etc, and they could have charged even more labor. Not a good thing to say. I reminded him they were already getting $900 for that. I contacted my brother-in law who is a union sheet metal worker for 30+ years. I told him what they were doing, and he almost choked when he heard what they wanted to charge. He told me how the piece is fabricated and the cost of the sheet metal. That's when I finally decided I did not want to do business like that. I don't mind paying for quality, especially when it comes to professional installers, but their is a limit. Went to Duncan's and am very happy, and have a few more dollars still in my pocket

It went extremely well. The technician was prompt, professional, knowledgeable and conscientious about keeping the cleaning tidy. It was well worth the money for the repair and maintenance.

Our fireplace logs were turning off by themselves, and then it reached the point where they would not even come back on. We've used Godbey's for a few years because they've been so prompt and professional. This time was no different. They came out when they said and gave us the annual cleaning. After that, the unit worked well for a while, but then started quitting again. They were quick to come back out, and replace one part. The unit worked again for a while and then quit again. They came out very quickly after the next call to do further tests. They replaced another part and the unit has been working great ever since, better in fact than when we moved in 7 years ago. They did not charge us for the follow up service calls, only for the parts that they replaced, and even then they were apologetic for not catching the problems on the first visit. As I mentioned, we've used them for the past few years and will continue. Their a great company: reliable, courteous, professional, responsible, punctual.

The installation was done expertly. The door was defective and didn't close properly. The techs drove back to their shop about 45 minutes each direction and brought me another one the same day. Awesome. the product is excellent.

I called to do a follow-up on installation. After talking with my contact, he recommended that I could do the installation myself and not incur any charges from them. I appreciated their willingness to help and provide direction on what to do without charging me.

Godby personnel did a great job of providing me with details regarding different types of fireplaces, efficiencies, and pros and cons, and costs. They came out and installed the fireplace and unfortunately I was not happy with the appearance. We worked together and they changed the looks. I was extremely grateful for their willingness to make sure I was happy with the end product. Everyone was very knowledgable and professional. Now I really love our fireplace and it actually heats up the room, unlike our old fireplace.
