Description of Work: Installed a vented fireplace unit for us. When they delivered it, the front wasn't the one we had picked out. That one had been discontinued and no one told us. I wasn't too happy with the change so they told me I could choose whatever I wanted. I did, they ordered, came out and installed it and all was good. And I LOVE my new fireplace.

Description of Work: Cleaned my gas fireplace so it will start working again. Didn't need repaired which I was so happy about. Just spider and dust and small particles keeping it from working properly. |It wouldn't stay lit and after cleaning works great! Didn't take long either.

Description of Work: We went into Godby looking for an estimate on repairing or replacing our glass shower enclosure. There was only one person in the showroom that day and he seemed completely uninterested in being there or helping customers. When we asked questions he seemed very put out and was also very argumentative. He told us that he would have to send someone out to give us an estimate and that with the holidays it would be a week or so before anyone got in touch with us. To this date (several months later) we still have not heard back from them. I got the impression that unless you walked in ready to spend $10,000 or more that you are going to be viewed as a waste of their time. We will definitely not be contacting them for any of our projects.

Description of Work: Our gas fireplace stopped working so I called Godby for service. They responded quickly to my request, showed up on time, and performed cleaning on our fireplace and glass front. It looks so clean and amazing and the fireplace works great! I will definitely use them for any of our fireplace needs!

Description of Work: Moved into a new home with a gas fireplace and a remote start system. Fireplace would work sometimes, other times not. Called Godby's service and one of their employees walked me through finding the IR sensor in the fireplace and replacing the battery. He spent about 20 minutes on the phone with me and fixed the problem. He never tried to sell me service, just helped me. I subsequently had Godby's come and clean and service the fireplace and they did a terrific job. Highly recommend!

Description of Work: We were having issues with our gas fireplace and I contacted Godby by email then talked to the owner several times by phone to pin point the problem. We scheduled a convient time for our service call and the Technician was right on time. Even more than that though,I was late to the call and he very politely offered to stay until I could get there. The Tech went through the whole process with me will he was there, carefully dismantling the mechanisms and getting everyrhing back together. To date, the service was excellent and the fireplace is working fine. I would recommend this company to anyone that utilizes Angie's List or friends that ask. Sincerly, Eric Hungate
