Jerry Gilpin is a very pleasant person that provided an estimate over the phone, came onsite for actual measurements, and the estimate remained the same. Fantastic service and communication when coming onsite to perform the actual replacement.

Jerry is an older gentlemen and a very nice man. I called Jerry to replace the broken and failed window panes in my vacant house. Jerry came out and when he called me with the estimate, he told me that he figured the price for all the window panes to be replaced for $1900. I wasn't figuring in replacing all 36 window panes--just the broken or really bad ones fogged up. When I asked him how much just for those...he said he didn't have individual prices just for total replacement of all but would have to come back and look again. I wasn't really planning on replacing all the panes since we are replacing all the windows in a few years time. Jerry came back out and gave me the price of $840 to replace just the 13 panes I selected as really bad. I said we could always do the rest later since they weren't cracked and you could still see through them. I really didn't understand how replacing all 36 panes was $1900 but doing 13 was $840 but I was okay with that. I called the next day and left 2 messages with his answering service to place the order but he never called me back. At this point, I'm not sure if Jerry placed my order or not. Jerry does not have a regular phone...just an answering service you get when you call him. He doesn't provide written estimates which might make it a bit easier to understand his lump sum quotes too. I like Jerry so I'm hoping he's replacing my windows but I'm just not sure. I wish he'd call people back one way or another.

He's excellent on price. He's excellent on service and excellent on communication.

From the first call for a quote to the end of the job, all was done as we expected. The owner was very responsive to any of our concerns and worked with us on the installation date. The workers arrived on time and completed the job earlier than we expected. We are more than happy with the services provided by this company and would not hesitate to recommend.

They did a good job. I don’t remember how much they charged me for their services. They did a quality job. I will use them again in the future.

Called at 4:30pm on 1/26. He called back shortly after, but I was not available to answer. I called back at 8:30am on 1/27. I drove over there after getting off the phone and arrived about 9am. It took about 5 minutes for him to finish cutting the glass and another 2 minutes to pay/get change. Very quick and easy.

They initially came out and gave us an estimate to replace the broken window glass. They then made the appointment and came back when they said they would. They installed the window glass within a half hour.

They were very good. They were very prompt and courteous, and they did good work. I would highly recommend them and would definitely use them again in the future.

On Saturday December 17 at 11:30pm someone felt compelled to throw a baseball sized rock through our 2nd floor bedroom window. Fortunately my wife & I weren't in bed yet or the rock would have landed on her. We taped up a cardboard box over the window and put some plastic sheeting over it the next day. I reviewed Angie's List and saw that Gilpin Glass Service had dealt with broken windows and had good reviews so I decided to try them. I called on Sunday and spoke with Jerry Gilpin's answering service who said he would call me soon. Jerry called and arranged to come to our house on Monday to take measurements and order the glass. He gave a verbal estimate that was virtually identical to the final cost. Jerry came and took his measurements Monday morning and said the window should be ready for installation on Thursday. We were anticipating that he would come on Thursday and when he didn't call I called him Thursday evening and Jerry said he would be out Friday morning. He removed the broken window and was careful to pick up any glass that had fallen and installed a new window. He applied some caulking on another window at no additional cost. If we need glass or window service again we will contact Gilpin Glass service

I asked for a quote from several glass companies. Jerry was the most competitve. The glass was ordered and Jerry gave me an option on the types of grids to match the existing windows. Replacement was done. Very nice on the phone and easy to work with.

Jerry was very prompt in giving us an estimate to replace four windows that had broken seals with moisture in between the panes. As a result, they were quite cloudy. Jerry was the first to respond and was also the lowest of all companies we considered. He ordered the glass and within one week he was at my house and preparing for installation. His people were on time, professional, and very friendly. I had curtains that needed to be taken down in order to remove the glass, and they did so with no complaint...and re installed them once the glass was in place. In a little over an hour they were finished and the windows look fabulous. They cleaned them to a crystal clear shine and cleaned up any residue that may have been left behind from their work. I couldn't be more pleased with Gilpin Glass. They offer an excellent value, a great product (with a warranty) and friendly staff. I will use again when needed.

He was true to his estimate. I left a key for him to enter my home during the day and he replaced the glass while I was at work. He did the estimate from the outside, so he only needed inside access for the actual work. His estimate came in at $90. The other quotes I received from two highly rated glass companies were $135 and $170. I saved almost 50% by going with him. The job wasn't very difficult so I don't how skilled he is with more extensive projects, but for this small job, it turned our great and saved me TONS of money!

We moved into a new house with many windows with moisure in between the glass panes. They came out and gave us a very fair estimate, the glass was ordered and installed.

They were very professional & follow through on their word. Me and my husband were very pleased with their work.

The professionalism with which the call was answered was great and the initial response from Mr Gilpin the next day was good, however that is where the service ended, because there was no further followup on their behalf to visit our residence or prepare a quotation for replacing the window system we wanted them to quote on. Made a second inquiring the week of 7/11 no response. Very dissapointed since they had high marks on Angies List. I would not recommend them for window replacement project.

Jerry Gilpin came out within one day to give me an estimate. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He gave me an estimate and said he could get the glass within a week and then install right away. I did have to call after one week, but he responded right away and the glass had arrived. They came the next day to install it. They were much more responsive then other places I called and their price was lower as well. I would recommend him to anyone! Thanks foe the great service!!

Jerry responded promptly to my call for an estimate in middle of May 2011. Gilpin glass was doing the labor only, because I was getting the glass under warranty replacement for free. Once I received the glass in middle of June 2011, I called Jerry to schedule the work. I tried calling and leaving messages several times but no response for several days. I was able to finally get a hold of him on the fourth try. Jerry explained to me that he had a death in the family, one of his guys was on vacation, and business had picked up since the original estimate. Jerry apologized for not being prompt in returning my call. I could totally understand his situation with it being a small business, being backed up with weather, and the increase in business. Jerry was honest and upfront with me, he stated that he could get the work done in middle July. I was willing to wait for the work to be done by Jerry. I had spoken to several people that had recommended me to Gilpin glass and they were very satisfied with his work. Overall, I was pleased with the quality of the work, price, and the honesty of the company. I would definitely recommend Gilpin glass service to my family and friends.

Jerry was very responsive to my initial call for an estimate. Came out quickly and gave me a price. He was much lower than buying completely new windows and frames from the usual suspect of window companies. Jerry ordered the glass, which he received in about two weeks, called and scheduled a time in the next couple of days for he and his crews to do the work. Jerry and his guys were terrific. Showed up on time and installed the windows quickly and efficiently. The windows look great and allowed us to keep the original wood trim to match other windows and our 40-year old custom built home. We will definitely call Jerry again as other of our old windows begin to lose their seals.

I had called for an exstimate. Within a week, they came out and provided. After I approved, they ordered the glass, and came back a week after that to replace.

The windows came in on Thursday and they were here on Friday to install them. They were early and did a really good job. They even cleaned up all the shattered glass.

Jerry called a half hour prior to the guys arrival. They arrived on time and I told him that they had to be finished by Noon because I had an appointment at 1 PM. They arrived promptly when they said they would and were gone by 11:45 AM. We did a walk through to ensure that I was satisifed before they left. I have used Gilpin's Glass in the past and will use them again to finish the rest of the windows when they get worse.
