Gilpin Glass Service

Rating Gilpin Glass Service FIVE STARS. I had them replace 2 insulated glass panes in a 25" X 25" vinyl sash that had gotten broken out. I took the sash to them. I had been quoted $200 and ten days by their competitors. I did not mention this to Gilpin. They did the repair/replacement of the 2 panes for $120.00 including tax and they did it in the exact 7 business days that was quoted. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I highly recommend them for your glass needs.

Excellent company to work with. Office staff was responsive and proactive. Their installer, Jim, had a great attitude and obviously cares about the quality of his work. I would highly recommend them and I plan on using them again when I have a need for their services.

good except a little slow on turn around.

Worked with company to have three window-shopping panes replaced as part of house sale agreement. Ordered parts and had check cut for new owner. Service did occur I believe.

Seal broken on picture window in a house we were selling. Gilpin's could get to us before some of the other companies we called. They were very business-like from the office ladies, the gentleman who came out and measured and the installers. Price was good, service was very good. Would definitely hire again. Very pleased.

They were busy so it took a couple weeks until they could make it to my house. But otherwise everything went well.

Apparently they replaced my window with safety glass. I was never told they would be safety glass in the window frame. As a result, the frame is too big and will not fit into the window. They refuse to fix it unless I bring it back to them. They told me they told me they were putting safety glass into the frame. I was never told that. Ever. When the guy came to look at the window, he took the frame out. I asked if he could take it to the shop to fix and he said that he would take it and have the shop call me with the price. That was Thursday. I called and left a message on Saturday and on Monday I called them to get price. They finally called me back and said they were short staffed and that's why it took so long. She told me the price and I said that was fine. I offered to pick it up to save money. When I got home, I discovered the frame did not fit. When I called back the guy told me that I was told safety glass would be installed. I NEVER authorized that. I became upset and said that was a lie. He said if he came back out, he'd have to charge me for it. Terrible serivce. I paid $64.24 for a window that I can't even use. Now I have to call someone else to fix it. I found them on Angie's List.

Great! Prompt contacts/call backs and service. Kept me informed at all phases of the job. Pricing was very reasonable. This is the second time I have had them do work for me. Very satisfied - would definitely hire again.

It took them over a week to call back with a quote and over two weeks to come out and do the replacement. They cancelled on the day of the appointment twice and then did not come out near the end of the appointment window as requested. Did not offer a discount for the inconvenience.

They moved a piece of plate glass. It was 116 inches long and about 48 inches wide. They moved it very skillfully and kept in one piece from one house to another. Movers won't move glass. I graded their pricing a "C" because it was only four miles from one house to the other.

The owner canceled the repair order without notice because he had a personal issue. I waited the entire day on Gilpin Glass to repair 2 security doors only to find out that the order was cancelled and it was to late in the day to find another repair company.

They replaced the broken window. They were good. I didn't have a problem with them. They did what they said they were gonna do. Reasonable price. It was just an overall good experience, I do remember that. Sure, I'll use them again.

Great. Old window removed and new one installed in about 20 minutes. Quick and efficient.

Friendly customer service, great price!

Very professional. Good estimate, close to actual even though estimator did not have access to special glass cost. Different guys came out right on schedule to replace glass. I did not have to be away from work for more than 1 hour. One on exterior ladder, one on interior ladder, replaced the glass quickly and so quietly I could work at the computer 6 feet away while they did their business, with it cold and raining outside no less. They did not want payment right then, and sent a bill. Unfortunately the bill, although sent only a week after the work was completed, languished at the post office during the Christmas holidays. I paid it just today, the 3rd, so I hope that is timely enough for them. Would highly recommend them for any needed window glass repairs.

IT WAS NOT THEIR FAULT BUT 3 TIMES GLASS CAME IN WAS NOT USABLE 4 TIME IT WOIRKED

The estimator arrived on time and was in and out in no time. I got a call back with the estimate which was less than original quote over the phone. On the day of installation two technicians arrived and had the old window out and replaced in less than 1/2 hour. Great job!

Provider came out and fixed a broken window pane. Did not try to upsell me by getting me to replace the entire window (one other place did). Came out promptly and completed the work. It did take a little longer than I expected but was all reasonable.

It couldn't have been easier. They came out to check out the problem (I didn't have to be home) and promptly called me with an estimate. It was lower than the other one I received and included some repairs that the other company had not mentioned. The man doing the work was prompt and efficient. It was done in no time and without leaving a mess. I also had good experiences with the office staff who made sure to accommodate my schedule. I will use them again.

We are pleased with Gilpin's work. It took a bit longer than expected, but our windows were not standard and access from outside is tricky for a couple of the windows.

Installers were personable and highly professional, completing work in under a hour.
