Gilpin Glass Service

They had problems getting the old glass out and slightly damaged the interior wood which we can repair with stain.

I called at 7:30 p.m. expecting to leave a message. But they answered the phone right away! How unusual and wonderful is that? Jerry came out the next morning to measure and discuss my needs. Within thirty minutes I had my price quote and description of the work. That same afternoon Mike came out about 4 p.m. He removed the broken glass in 2 windows and replaced it with laminated glass. He cleaned up very well when he was finished. This was amazing service at an affordable price.

It went fine. My only complaint was that they left to go to the hardware store and left me waiting for them. Other than that they were professional, quick and did good work.

The service has not been done just yet. One of their workers is sick and they have not been able to come out. They have been out for measurements on the windows so far. One technician came out to do that. They had great pricing and did not make me pay up front to order the windows. They do not take charge cards.

From the time I first contacted Gilpin Window Service, Tracey was prompt in returning all messages. They worked with my schedule to have someone give me an estimate and then the date was set for the installation of the glass. I was so impressed by the responsiveness of the company and the technician was the best. He was very knowledgeable and detail oriented. I will use this company for all my future glass issues. They were the best in customer service on all levels.

Mike did a great job re-glazing the windows. The windows are original to the house, which was built in 1925. Some of the glass is original. Mike was very careful with the glass. Mike was also careful when he removed the windows to work on them and when he replaced them. The B grade for punctuality is due to scheduling issues. Because a previous job took much longer than expected, Mike arrived rather late to my job. He was only able to complete one window and I had to reschedule to have the second window done. I thought I was clear about the type of windows and the number of panes in each window, so I was disappointed that the scheduling did not go better. The office was responsive and did work with me on rescheduling a time to meet my schedule.

They were great! On Time, honest, great price, great follow through and service. The way it all worked out, the work had to be done by the seller and they used a company that they had history with. I will use Gilpin the next time I need window repairs or replacement. Give them a call!

The 44x22 inch glass was completely shattered. They replaced the old piece with a new pain that was up to code. They also sealed around the edges of the glass

I am not satisfied with the quality of the glass they replaced. They seemed to take a while to complete the service. The crew who came out were okay and scheduling was fine.

We had a crack in our single pane window in the bedroom on the second floor of our home. I had gotten other quotes that were from $200 to $315. I found Gilpin on Angie's List and I'm so glad I did!. They came out and replaced the glass and cleaned up after they were done. They only charged $123! We are going to take some of our storm windows to their shop to get a quote.

I sent e-mail on a Sat. night since they showed 24 hour emergency service and then called on a Sunday to see if I could get a repair on Monday afternoon. I was told I could. Monday got a response to my e-mail that said maybe but I replied that I had been told I could and was told it would happen between 12 and 4. When I called at 3:30 to be sure they were still coming, I was told they were but running a little late. They showed up at 4:10 but called to say they'd have to reschedule since there were trucks in my driveway. (I hadn't known I would have tree work done that day.) I said I would get the trucks to move - really wanted the repair done. I felt they should not have been so ready to dismiss my job. Anyhow, the tree trucks did move and the glass guys came in the driveway and did get the job done, completing the commitment that had been made by their office, despite the fact that I think they would have normally quit at 4:00. I was relieved to get it fixed since I wasn't sure if it was vandalism or wind and since I was leaving town the next day. I had wanted someone to get it done that day and they were the most responsive to my inquiry.

Gilpin Glass went out of their way to special order my window, completing the order in a few days - and replaced cracked vinyl strips. Measurements and installation was performed on time with calls letting me know they were on the way -Exact cost was quoted on the initial phone call. Bravo! thank you, very much.

They were excellent! They were timely fixing the problem. The cost was reasonable.

Jerry and did the initial estimate within a day of the request. He discussed a couple of options including one that was cheaper than what we were looking at. He was very professional and friendly. Likewise, the team that came to do the install was equally courteous. All and all a fantastic experience.

I cant say enough good things about Gilpin Glass! Our home was broken into and the next day we called Gilpin for them to come out and take a look at the damage. They were at our home by noon and had the glass replaced and re-installed by 3pm. I never thought I would have a my service completed in one day with no extra fees. They have a great team and have the best prices around! We will be using them for any of our glass needs in the future.

They did a great job. They had to make a second trip to the shop to get the right piece of glass but they still finished within the hour.
