About us

Gilpin Glass Service was started in 1973, and is still owned and operated by Jerry himself. We have seven employees, most of them being family. We do both commercial and residential work all over Indianapolis and surrounding areas. One thing that sets us apart from our competition is that we have and will always give FREE estimates! Our pricing is very competitive and we take pride in customer satisfaction.

Description of Work: They left large pieces of debris (screws, hardware, etc) from the old windows on my rooftop, they damaged my walls where they took out old windows, they left nasty dirty fingerprints all over the wood and walls, they didn't caulk or clean up the windows once installed. I had to call them twice to come out and clean up their damage. I didnt find the hardware left on my roof until months later, but they were pieces left from the windows. It just wasn't worth it. I called other window places to see how they would've done the job, and all three said the mess they left behind was totally unacceptable.

Description of Work: Replaced two glass windows (one from my house onto my back porch, and one from the back porch into the yard). They were great to work with. Very nice people. I chose them because they had a great reputation on Angie's List. I was not able to be at my home during the estimate or when the actual work was performed due to my job, but I trusted their reputation to allow them at my home without me there, and I returned home with glass so clean I almost thought it wasn't there! no leftover mess, and my house was safe and locked up. I would definitely use these guys again.

Description of Work: The process started back in May and was finished in November. The issue was with a warranty window and took a long time for the warranty company to identify the replacement. Gilpin came out several times to identify the replacement number as well as an attempt to install a window that was the wrong size. They stuck with us through a long process and eventually got the replacement window that fit. The price was high for the work that was actually done, as I did all the followup investigation work myself, but in light of the aggravation of it all, I suppose warranted.

Description of Work: I had a half moon shaped window replaced in the entry way to my home. Gilpin was half the cost of the other company I contacted. They came out and gave me an estimate right away but the order took almost 6 weeks to come in before the window was actually replaced.
