Gilpin Glass Service

I spent about $300 on that service. I have known them for years and they have always done a good job.

I was trying to get my wife's attention inside the house from outside on our deck, so I tapped on the window. The glass was very cold and the outer pane shattered. Mr. Gilpin had replaced a bottle rocket damaged window of the same size in previous years, so I called on him again. He is always pleasant and his people do the work quickly when they arrive.

His two employees arrived on time, installed the glass. They were very friendly & nice. wiped their feet off before entering the house. Price was exactly as quoted. The entire job took less than 45 minutes. Their work has a 5 year warranty. I would certainly use them again. I am very well satisfied.

They were very, very reasonable and the guy was nice enough. The two down sides were that he had to accept payment in cash and he wanted a down payment up front. At the time the glass came the quality was fair. If you're looking for something cheap I'd use them, but I don't know if I'd use them again. If I made a recommendation to others I'd probably tell them to look elsewhere, but to me the price was the most important thing.

Mr. Gilpin retuned my call quickly, made an inspection of my project as soon as he was able to (within a couple of days), and then coordinated a time with me to have the glass replaced. Due to our schedules the whole process took a couple of weeks, but I was very pleased with his response and quality of his work.

I contacted Jerry about 9:00 am for an estimate to repair 2 broken windows. Keep in mind that we are not in the greatest neighborhood and getting our glass fixed was crucial to maintaining the safety of our facility. Jerry understood my urgency and told me that someone would be out within 1.5 hours or he would come himself. Within an hour, Jerry was at our door to check the windows. Once he checked the windows, he gave me a reasonable quote to repair with our own replacement glass and said he could have it done within the day. An hour later one of his guys came out and fixed the windows within 45 minutes. Start to finish it took me less than 3 hours to get my windows repaired. Jerry and his team were consummate professionals and I would definitely recommend their services.

Someone tried to break into my house through the back door this morning. The glass was shattered. I called several companies who said they couldn't come today--maybe tomorrow or Monday. When I reached Mr. Gilpin he was on another job but called me back and came as soon as that job was finished. He looked at the window, gave an estimate, and left to get the glass. Within an hour he was back with the glass. It was all done within three hours of the time I first talked to him. Mr. Gilpin was very efficient and professional. The window looks great and actually is an upgrade on what was there before. The price was very reasonable. I strongly recommend him.

The price they quoted me was about $2200. They were polite, came out quickly and seemed like they were willing to do the job.

I called & told him I wanted the mirror replaced, because I had not done anything he suggested. I just wanted a new mirror mounted on the hinge. He did exactly what I wanted, and it cost less than what he originally quoted! He returned the little "screw holders" that were in my old mirror too. I was quite pleased, and will use him again because I know I can trust Mr. Gilpin to do the job right at a fair price.

Excellent! I used him before and I trust him. I did not even meet him this time. He knows the demensions of the windows and installed them without my presence. I sent him the check afterwards. Price was fair.

We have never had a problem since he fixed the windows. He is a perfectionist. I am a Realtor and I always recommend him to all of my clients and so far all of my clients have been very pleased as well.

Things turned out just fine. They were professional, came when they were suppose to, and did what needed to be done.

Jerry was incredibly prompt and literally was over an hour or so after we called him to give us a quote. He was able to do the job straight away and did so quickly, cleanly and professionally. I would absolutely call him again for any glass repair and recommend him to others.

Came into house to find it ransacked and exterior storm kitchen window completely busted out and one glass frame from interior window shattered. Called Jerry immediately as I have used him in the past with great success. He came out that day, took the window meausrements and the next day it was all repaired. He is the most trust worthy contractor I have ever known. And I work in the construction industry..... He is also the most resonably priced glass installer in the city.

He came out and helped look at all my windows to assess what needed to be done before winter. Then ordered the glass. A little more than two weeks later the glass came in and he scheduled the time with me. I left a key for him and his crew and they arrived as planned. There were a couple windows that he didn't put down and I called to have him come back out. He did and everything got squared away. I'm happy. I do think the price was a bit high for 3 windows, but I really needed the work done. That's why I graded a "C" on price. I am also having him come out and replace three window panes with safety glass in my front door for $96, which I thought was a better price.

He was neither the cheapest nor the most expensive one. However, he seemed to know what he was doing. He was very thorough when he came out and did the measurements. I had windows that had apparently leaked and there was moisture in between the glasses. I spent about $950 for the job. I?ll definitely use him again, if required.

We called Gilpin in June and Jerry came out and gave us an estimate on costs. He was very responsive and always returned our phone calls in a timely manner. We had to put the project on hold until October and he still honored the original price he gave us in June. The crew came when they said they would and worked very fast. They cleaned up after themselves and were very nice to work with. I was very impressed with their service. The price was right and the service was professional. Thank you.

I have a window above the garage that was broken by the neighborhood kids. I got several estimates for window replacement and glass replacement. When I called Gilpin Glass, they came to measure the window the very next day while I was at work and they called me with the estimate. They had the best price and I was impressed with the response time. They had to order the glass and called me as soon as it came in. Great experience!
