Description of Work: Repaired, resized, refurbished loose setting, and cleaned a 1952 wedding ring and engagement ring set that had been cut off for surgery; repaired, resized, refurbished loose setting, and cleaned a 1895 family heirloom engagement ring that had been cut off for surgery; refurbished loose setting and cleaned a 1976 wedding ring and engagement ring set. It was a treat to visit this charming place of business with its friendly, attentive, professional staff. The work was top quality, and we appreciate the care they took to preserve the original engraving, fabric and detail of these items of great sentimental value to us.

Description of Work: I stopped in the store late in the afternoon to see if I could get a battery replaced in my watch. A very nice lady said she would do it while I waited. It took her about 5 minutes and when I asked what I owed her she said nothing - it was a courtesy. This kind of generous service causes me to want to go back there some time and shop for jewelry, which by the way is beautiful there. I also am aware of all the contributions that Thrapp makes to charitable silent auctions in the community. They are truly civic minded.

Description of Work: I called up to get a cost estimate for appraisal and cleaning of my grandmother's engagement ring. Ryan, the person I talked to, was great and said if I was just looking for a simple clean and shine, he could do it for free- just bring the ring in and appraisal was only $35 -- after I mentioned we were planning on getting engaged with it, he told me to come in whenever I could and they would take good care of me. Based on this experience, I plan to have them clean and appraise the ring and I think they just got our wedding band business. Great service!

 + -1 moreHad a very good experience with customer service, and they did a very good job at re-sizing and cleaning my ring. My ring was dull prior to taking it to the jewelers and afterward, it really sparkled and captured the light. We were able to pick it up within a week. Since then, I have received many compliments from my friends and co-workers and requests to see my ring. Thrapp's also took the time to show me how to clean the ring and provided a jar of cleaning solution, which I really appreciated.

 + -1 moreThe piece was my grandmothers and I wanted to use it in my wedding bouquet. It was missing a few stones and pearls. David was great about everything. He even had them rush it through so I could have it back in time for the wedding. The piece was beautiful. I could not believe how fantastic it looked and the service was great too. Even though it was a small job, they always made me feel like I was the most important customer they had.

 + -1 moreThe staff is very cordial and seems knowledgeable. Repair work on antique rings is perhaps not their strong point...too many major changes would have altered the character of the ring. It appeared the repair shop wasn't too interested in the project, as it took a considerable amount of time for them to come back with an estimate.
Description of Work: I brought in two items for repair. The one was an antique baby rattle, and the work was very well done. The other was an antique Victorian ring. The repair work was complicated, and they proposed such extensive changes to it, to make it safe to wear (at substantial cost) that I declined to have the work done.
