Description of Work: Upholstered a couch and love seat. The material did not have the same look and feel of the swatch I picked out. The upholstery itself has challenges. The corners are not crisp, the overlaps are clumsy, the couch seat is stuffed in such a way that it has deep wrinkles all across the seat. One of the safety attachments was not connected. | |And, very importantly, the delivery men took the plastic wrap off the furniture when they loaded it into their dirty van. As a result the furniture was sitting on a dirty floor matt and was drug across the dirty floor steps as it pulled from the van. The delivery men didn't seem to make the connection of why the furniture was wrapped. It had to be called out to them and they had to be asked to put the wrapping down on the elevator floor to move the furniture to my condo from the truck. | |I probably will not use this company again.

Description of Work: The re-upholstered a chair. Even came to the home with ideas and several books to look over fabrics. They have really good decorating advice and we have used them in the past to re-upholster a couch 13 years ago and they did a fantastic job then and have done the same if not better with the chair!

Description of Work: Reupholstered 6 teak dining room chairs and made new matching cushions for 2 window seats. It took a little longer than promised to get the work completed. Wood "plugs" were not added to cover screws in teak chairs but extra cushioning was added and the chairs are much more comfortable than before - a big improvement. One seat cushion was stuffed a little too much so the fit is not quite as precise as I'd hoped but the piping and sewing is well done and attractive. They are nice people to deal with. I would work with them again if the need arose.

Description of Work: They made new cushions for a glider rocker. They had a wide selection of fabric to chose from . The fabric was not organized well, but the staff did know where everything was located.

Description of Work: They brought over a wide variety of upholstery fabrics from which we chose a pattern from. They upholstered two wingback chairs for us. We have used them in the past as well. They are true craftsmen. The reason we were willing to pay $1000.00 for upholstering the two chairs: The quality of the chairs was exceptional and so it would have been more expensive to buy new chairs of comparable construction than to have them recovered.

Description of Work: Frost Upholstery completely redid two 1950's armchairs from the foundation up. The chairs were family heirlooms which had become quite musty from being in storage. They replaced the foam padding, touched up little scuffs on the wooden legs, and used the upholstery fabric I provided. They came to my house to estimate the job, and accurately estimated the fabric amount needed for both chairs. With the little bit left over, they surprised me having made a small accent pillow for each chair. Frost has a large selection of fabrics from which to choose - I just happened to find fabric which was almost identical to the original, and wanted to keep chairs the same. I enjoy sewing, and was very impressed with their attention to detail- razor sharp piping and evenly spaced decorative tacks. Fabric pattern required no matching. Pick up and delivery is included in estimate, but I dropped off and picked up the chairs myself only because I was excited to get them as soon as they were done. I got two additional estimates which were close in price, but chose Frost because they could start the job right away, and had high Angie's List reviews. I highly recommend Frost Upholstery.

Description of Work: Repaired the custom-made leather easy chair in my office by replacing the buttons on the cushion and replacing (and matching perfectly) the leather on the arms and repairing some of the edges on the bottom from the wear of traffic. The set of chair and sofa are 31 years old. They picked up the chair, delivered it, and carried the replacement I had brought up from a basement room back to the basement.

Description of Work: Took an old chair and chaise, and reupholstered and replaced cushioning on both of them. Also repair a leather back to a recliner. They picked up all furniture and then delivered them back once done. The chaise took a little longer because of the fabric we chose. Very easy and very professional. Their prices and workmanship was excellent.
