Frost Upholstery

Frost Upholstery turned our sad looking couches into beautiful pieces of furniture. Jeff was helpful every step of the way. Reasonable cost, amount of fabric needed, pick up and delivery. Two week turn around and we are so happy with results. We would highly recommend Frost Upholstery. (So happy they are now in possession of a worn out Laz-Z-Boy recliner to work their magic).

I was prepared to have them do the work, but then I found a company much closer to home, so the pickup and delivery charges were much lower. When I explained to the people at Frost, they were very professional and even assured me that the methods used at this other company are "best practices," so my furniture would be in good hands. Although I didn't have Frost do the work, based on their professionalism and generous attitude, I recommend them.

fabric $200, labor $400 removed 2 old fabrics and reupholstered arm chair. provided arm and head covers and even a little pillow. gave me leftover fabric. touched up wood trim. He came out with many, many samples and helped me select. It is beautiful now! Very happy with their work and price. My only wish is that care instructions had been included for the time to come when it needs to be cleaned. Waited about 10 days for them to pick up my chair, and then about 7 days for them to deliver it back to me all beautiful.

I went on Angie's List to find Frost Upholstery. We were pleased with the work they did, from start to finish. After the initial call, the representative came out to the house to see the chairs and he brought sample fabrics. He ordered the fabric I selected, and when it came in in about a week, he called to arrange the pickup of the chairs. In four days, I had my chairs back with beautiful new seats. They even polished the wood portion of the chairs. The price was reasonable, and included a $50 price reduction for Angie's List. Very happy with the whole experience.

Was very impressed with the quality work they did. I dropped off two cushions and some fabric that I had already purchased. The cushions were done a few days later and looked amazing.

Very well. Representative respected that I wanted to use fabric as close to the original era as possible. Also when I chose a print for the two chairs that would have not been suitable, the rep. made some suggestions for me that ended up working well.

The Frost staff helped me find a suitable covering, ordered it, picked up the chairs, finished the upholstery, and delivered them back to me by the day I needed them! They look great and I have already received several compliments on them. I have used Frost many times and will continue to do so. They have always been very reliable and easy to work with.

The estimate was twice what I had quoted from several estimates. I guess you get what you pay for so I decided just to buy a new chair.

Frost Upholstery are Great! They re-covered 6 kitchen chair seats and they look awesome! They added better seat padding and a welt around the bottom. The 2 bench cushions look amazing too. They picked up my chairs and delivered them finished in a weeks time. Very impressed with their work!

They called and worked around our schedule because my husband was having knee surgery and we were trying to be without the cushions for the least amount of time possible. They were very flexible and even made a special pick up the day before the surgery and delivered the cushions 72 hours later in time for my husband's release from the hospital. The cushions are wonderful, they make the sofa and love seat like new. They also replaced a button on a bench which also looks great.

I had and antique chair that needed lots of work. Frost Upholstery put in new springs, fabric and even made a pillow! The chair looks wonderful and will last for many years to come.

Wonderful, A+++++, Amazing! Took 2 loveseat bottom cushions and backs to be recovered and had some toss pillows made to match. Very professional, super nice, wonderful to work with! I was greeted by a nice gentleman when I dropped off the items to their shop, and he helped me bring in the pieces to be recovered. The shop is very busy, but I was able to get my items back within a very reasonable amount of time. All employees I encountered were so nice and professional. Crystal helped me over the phone and then when I got to the shop. She is so helpful, accommodating and professional! The work they did is absolutely beautiful! They dropped off the finished cushions and pillows to my home after they were done. I am so, so happy and am having them recover another piece of furniture for me. Would highly recommend their services!!

We are delighted with our new, old furniture. All three of the pieces look magnificent. We are happy that we reupholstered them rather than buy new ones. I appreciated all the help we received from staff. We had the opportunity to visit the shop on Michigan to see their work and to get help finding just the right fabrics. A great group with which to work!

How did it go? It went absolutely fantastic. The service, turnaround time, reasonable pricing, friendliness and professionalism were all refreshing for sure. Here?s what happened: after attempting to reupholster one of the dining room chair seats myself and having a difficult time, we went looking for someone to turn the task over to and found Frost Upholstery an Angies list company with excellent ratings. There were very few negative reviews and the positive way outweighed the negative so we decided to give them a try. We are so, so, so glad we did. After speaking with the lady via phone I decided to drop off our 6 chair seats on 9/9/2015 along with the fabric we had already purchased. The gentleman that assisted me that morning was fantastic. He was friendly, informational and helpful; he insisted in carrying the seats from my vehicle and into the store for me (I wish I had gotten his name). We were going to forgo the piping around the bottom of the seats as I imagine almost everyone that reupholsters their own chairs does due to the difficulty of the task but at his encouragement we purchased a little more material (1 yard) so they could add the piping. We are really happy we took his advice; the seats look great (even better than they did when they were new) the piping adds so much class to the look. To our amazement our seats were completed in only 5 calendar days which included a weekend, wow we didn't expect that. By the way, the same gentlemen insisted on carrying the seats out and loading them into my car for me when I picked them up. Frost Upholstery is a family owned and operated business that provides great service at very reasonable and affordable prices and I hear that they offer free estimates in the home as well as pick-up and delivery which is automatically included in their quotes. How many companies do that today?? We will be recommending them to our friends at every chance. Thank you Frost Upholstery for the prompt and fantastic service, we love the new look of our dining room chairs.

The company is a family owned business. They had an excellent phone person that answered our initial questions and scheduled one of the owners to come to our home to discuss the project. He arrived promptly as scheduled with fabric samples. He answered our questions but left the decision making as to which fabric we liked to us. He presented a quote. Labor was $900, the rest was fabric and tax. We gave a $200. deposit. The workers came a few days later and picked up the couch. They had our couch for about one month. When the couch was returned, we were not satisfied with the way the cushions looked . They were too overstuffed to suit us. There were actually a couple of issues we were not satisfied with. So following a phone call, they returned the next day and took the couch back to change what we did not like. The couch was returned within 2 days. They also at our request, made material with velcro that we can attach to the back corners of the couch to keep our cats claws from damaging. They listened to our concerns and responded as best they could. I now believe that reupholstering this type of couch is a difficult project thus expensive. I personally in retrospect would not do it again. But would shop for a replacement. I chose recovering because so many new couches are too large for our need.

I am very pleased. Every part of the transaction went well. In my initial phone call ,I gave them an idea of the fabric types I wanted. The samples were brought to me. There were plenty to choose from, and I had time to think about my choices. All appointments were on time, and the work was done promptly.All contact persons were pleasant and helpful.The workmanship is excellent, beautiful. Wish I had done this sooner!

I contacted them on Tuesday, February 3 to get an estimate on reupholstering 6 chairs. After deciding their price was more than fair and included pick up and delivery, I asked them when they could pick them up. They picked the chairs up the next day and delivered them back to me completed beautifully in TWO DAYS!!!! I was blown away! They were prompt, REALLY FAST, and their work was better than new, CAN't rave enough about this company! A+++. Other companies were as much as twice their price and were estimating 6-8 weeks to complete. I am smiling!

They were wonderful. They picked up the chairs. They finished before they said they would. They were really professional. They brought a lot of fabric swatches for me to choose from. I would definitely use them again.

Frost was great. I have referred them to other friends of mine, and they've used them. Scheduling appointments with Frost was great. He did a beautiful job. The owner of Frost at the time dealt with me. It has since switched ownership. They came out and they brought samples. We talked. He did exactly what I wanted. The quote matched up the actual price; it was perfect. They took the sofas to their shop. Then they brought the sofas back in good condition.

We bought our own fabric over at Callico so the price above is just for the work. We had a 18 yr old Ethan Allen sofa that we loved but the linen fabric had worn badly over time. The chair and a half was still structurally sound but the cushions had softened quite a bit and we were tired of the fabric. Frost basically tore both pieces down to the hw, and rebuiilt from the ground up, replacing springs, adding stuffing and reupholstered both pieces. Both pieces turned out nice enough. A few couple issues we could complain about. They understuffed the arms of the chair and a half and you can feel the wood support on the ends of the arms. Thats probably our biggest gripe. Also, the work on the ottoman was just ok. It looks uneven, with it looking like they didnt quite have enough fabric and it got pulled so tight in places it pulled the edge seems up in spots. Its not horrible but it is pretty noticeable. To be honest, not sure what to expect for this type of work as we've never had a piece re-done. Frost has one of the best reputationsin the area, and was recommended by the people at EA. Overall we're reasonably happy, the sofa looks terrific. our main complaint was with the stuffing in the chair arms and the ottoman. Not deal breakers but far from perfect. If it was just the sofa, i'd give them an A overall, but the chair is just ok. Greg was easy to work with and helpful though his fabric selections were limited, the guys picking up and delivering were awesome. The staff we spoke to were courteous and receptive. Would we use Frost again. Probably. Though i think i'd at least interview another company and go see some of their work at their place of business. Because what i dont know, is if this is the best work you can generally expect, and quality goes down hill from this point, or if Frost just had a bad day with our chair. I'd say my B grade overall is abundantly fair. a very solid A for the sofa. looks showroom new. the chair i'd say is about a C+. One other thing, we had them create 3 pillows for us from forms and fabric we provided. they have these white streaks on them that we aren't sure if its some sort of thing they used to mark the fabric and we can spot clean them off, or if in the process of making them, something scraped the fabric leaving the white patches. one of them is about an inch wide and 6 inches long, another is just an L shaped mark right in the middle of one of the pillows.
