Franco was up front about their contract, payment schedule and kept us updated on when our work would begin and how long it would take to finish. Because we had to go before the zoning board to get permission to build on an empty utility easement, we ended up on the back end of the installation schedule. For that reason, we chose to have the hardscape, lighting and landscape done on the back and side of the house and to have the rest of the work done next spring. The crews were very professional, showed up on time to start their work every day and worked until the end of the day. We were amazed at their progress every afternoon when we would come home and see what they had accomplished. We couldn't be happier with the finished project. Jeff helped us to choose paver colors that complimented our home and the install crews carried out his design just as it looked on paper. We would recommend Franco Landscaping with no hesitation to all of our friends and neighbors and look forward to working with them this spring to add the landscape lighting and new beds to the front and remaining side of our home. They really did give us the exact plan that we wanted at a price point that we were comfortable with.

The provider was easy to work with. We bought the service through an Angie's List Big Deal and had it quickly scheduled. The work was performed as advertised and on time. Would definitely use their service again!

It was great. They took care of my yard. I was very pleased with their service. If I have a complaint, they call me back and take care of it. The promptness was very good. I would give A on everything.

It was good. They're very cooperative and they're very fine. They make sure everything is done the way I want it done.

It turned out to be a good experience. Scheduling was easy, they showed on time, and they did a satisfactory job with the yard.

Plan was developed in April and approved. Work was scheduled for early July to be compatible with our schedule. Workers arrived early in the day and completed the project the same day. Workers were professional and polite. The results exceeded our expectations.

1) On-Going maintenance service request was almost immediately answered with a phone call and a visit by an extremely capable and professional person, Micah. I received a quote within a week, which included a contract to sign before services would start. I do not like having to sign a contract for yard services, nor the need to pay a 3% fee for use of a credit card, or potential upcharges for travel but would definitely recommend them professionally. 2) Landscape Design was requested before we would potentially start any lawn maintenance; they lost my initial request and didn't follow up until I called back a week or so later. After a couple weeks I got a hand drawn design but I really wanted a color one which detailed the recommended plants. At that point, they couldn't continue until a design fee payment was made (which I did within a day). Once they processed my design fee, they were quite responsive whenever I called. I had to ask them to look more closely at their fees and they re-worked the numbers but in the end, although I started looking for the work in early Spring and was ready to commit/pay then, Franco wouldn't have been able to do the work till mid July which was just too late....and there was still the contract, service fees, etc point.

They won't start work until later. They had a better plan for the landscaping than some of the others. The person that we had was very good, and their reputation on Angie's List is very high. The price is typical, it isn't a bargain, because they are a premium outfit. Their price is higher than someone else had given, but we chose to go with them.

They were on time, professional, knowledgeable in their field. The quality of work was good.

Opted not to use them, but had them quote for clearing landscaped beds and removing ground cover. They were prompt for coming out and giving quotes. Cost seemed a bit high. Wanted ground cover removed, but was told they would have to spray it to kill it for a few weeks first and would do that whenever in the area. Not sure I liked that as we were able to remove groundcover ourselves previously without having to spray. Also didn't like the "when we're in the area" part as it's in a gated and locked area.

They ran into some difficulties and it took them about twice as long. They never charged my any more. They cleaned up after themselves and the wall looks great. I highly recommend them.

I had an old wood retaining wall and Franco removed it and built a stone wall. They kept me appraised of the starting date which had to be adjusted do to weather. When they were finished I wanted part of the wall 2 feet longer and there was no problem they came and fixed it to my satisfaction. They cleaned up daily and did not leave a mess. My drive was clean every night. The wall looks great and finished on time and on budget.

Kevin and Jeff did a great job in the landscape design. They were prompt in answering all questions. We did hire Franco for the landscape design, but chose another company who was able to deliver the design at a much cheaper cost

I was happy that they were able to come out so quickly given the recent weather that we had had. It was nice to be able to actually drive into my driveway.

It was fine. they did a good job. I actually had the "Big Deal" for a while and it expired but they still used it, so they were kind to do that. I would use them again. They were just nice and they worked with me and what I needed.

Clean out garden, trim shrubs by the driveway and road, weed rock bed, removed small tree, weeded much bed and added black dyed hardwood mulch. I used Angie List Big Deal 99.00 Coupon.

During the design phase, Jeff and Kevin came out and asked questions and made recommendations based on my interests (birds, butterflies), colors of my home, adding privacy, protecting my view of others' landscaping, how much maintenance I would be willing to do, what types of activities I want to do in the backyard, etc. Initially I had not considered adding a paver patio off my existing patio, but based on their suggestion I decided to do it. It has increased my satisfaction of the project 10-fold! Everyone I have had contact with at Franco has been professional, friendly and customer focused. During the installation they reached out to me several times to see if I had questions or would like to change anything. The worksite was cleaned up before they left each day. Overall, my yard looks amazing! I am extremely pleased with Franco!

Workmen came and tore down my old wall and dumped the old blocks in a dumpster which was promply hauled away after it was filled. The workers put up the new wall, graded the surrounding area, and spread grass seed and straw. The new wall looks great! What an improvement over what I had! I am very pleased with how smoothly things went.

My yard--including grass and flower beds--was overgrown----some planned plants, a lot of weeds. I signed up for a Big Deal ($99 for $180 worth of Fall Clean Up work). Micah came from their office to walk through my yard about what I wanted done. We agreed on the additional number of hours that they would work. They came when they said they would; they did the agreed upon number of hours; and the overall experience was good. I also appreciate their patience in my paying the bill (it got stuck in a pile). They sent an additional bill, but were not mean about it (even though it was my responsibility for being late). Of course I don't encourage people to be late in paying bills, but it's nice when a company can be deliberate but not nasty about getting paid.

The representative came out to do an estimate. We discussed in some detail the work that I wanted to have done (see description under review of Ponce Patios). The representative said that he would bet back with me in regards to an estimate early the following week. I did not hear back from him when he said he would get the estimate to me. About a week after this he did contact me; however, by that time I already decided to use a different provider.

The designer was very attentive to what I was looking for, without having a huge budget attached to it. They were able to utilize some of the plantings I already had, but recommended others that have totally transformed the appearance of my property. Their installers were quick, efficient, professional, and extremely skilled. After the job was finished, there was no mess - it appeared that they had never been there at all! I am very impressed, and have asked them to do the front in the spring.

I like the fact that they are local. When we called for snow removal they came out and did it even though we did not have a contract with them.

The overall installation looks very good. We are pleased with the appearance the hardscape work. The landscaping looks good except a few small areas where the plantings are smaller than anticipated. For a job of this size we would have anticipated a couple of places for the plant selection to be larger but they will grow over time and it should look fine. We initially got competitive bids for this job. Franco was in line with the other bidders on cost and the overall presentation was good. We liked the landscape design and selected them for the job. The key issue was the demolition work and new concrete that was added around the pool Franco sub-contracted this work out and the work was not done well. There was damage done to conduits, wiring, and the pool skimmers. This caused a delay in the job but more importantly, in the end we were charged and additional $2200 for these "unforeseen" issues. Some of this could have been improved if there was better onsite field supervision of the job especially when the sub-contractor was performing work. There were times where the job supervisor was not responsive and seemed to be mis-leading in his comments. When we got Brian the owner involved, the issues were resolved relatively quickly. There was also damage to our irrigation system that we had corrected when the project was complete and cost us an additional $300. The job was originally quoted at 3 weeks and they moved some other work to assure they could have the project done by our requested completion date. The job ended up taking 5 weeks and was done the day before we were targeting. There were some minor issues with the plant installations and one moderate issue with the hardscape. They responded promptly to these concerns and corrected the issues as requested. I would nor recommend them for a job of this size especially if it involves work in close proximity to a pool
