Did not show up for initial appointment to see what work needed done.

We started this process in July of 2018. The salesman, quite frankly, lied about the company's ability to complete the job in a timely fashion and the conditions under which it could be done. ("We can do it in the fall, temperature above x degrees.") Every workman - and there were several - who came out gave us different conditions under which it could be done and disagreed with what the salesman had said and what the other workmen had said. There was a lot of rain over the winter and they said it could not be done without an ever-changing number of dry days. We had told them the work needed to be done before we put our house on the market in the spring. It went on the market eight months later with the sand work completed but unsealed. We delayed putting it on the market for 2 weeks since our realtor really wanted the sealing done. It had to be re-washed and more sand added, but again, no sealing. Our situation was clearly not a priority for them. They demanded partial payment a couple of months later and we paid them. Then they called in July - fully ONE YEAR later - to ask if we wanted them to finish the job. We have had a lot of rain. I understand that, but in the course of a YEAR, they certainly had time to finish the work. There are ants tunneling through the sand now since it was never sealed. (We were also told that it was "fine" not to complete the sealing.)

Franco does an outstanding job and my yard looks like a golf course when they are done cutting it. Franco has also done a number of hardscape projects for me and these are always done professionally.

The appointment was set quickly. Tom came out and talked with us about our ideas. We walked the property (in the snow!) and he asked some great questions. He delivered a design and estimate for the plants and mulch in about two weeks or so. We paid for the design up front and the plants when they were ordered. The only issue was that the plants and the mulch were not delivered on the same day (Friday). However, Tom delivered the mulch himself first thing on Monday. We planted during the weekend and mulched as soon as it arrived. Our new landscaping looks great.

Tom came to our house and we went over options. Because the area was relatively small and simple, we were not charged an architect's fee which I believe would have gone toward the project anyway. Tom let us borrow a brochure/catalog and even dropped off sample pavers we wanted to use. Tom was very helpful and very responsive to our questions and phone calls. The workers were nice and accommodating. There was an unanticipated problem in not being able to get the compactor behind the gas meter and heat pump. We ended up with a satisfactory workaround by using river rock in those small areas. The finished product was better than my wife and I had hoped. Because of the time of the year, Tom said he put us on the Spring schedule for turf repair which was caused by a Bobcat, etc. during excavation. We are very happy with our experience. I did give them an A on price although we did not get other estimates.

I had written a review earlier stating my dissatisfaction.After meeting with the owner he promised to make it right and he did, he went above and beyond! Brian is a man of his word . I would recommend Fraco landscaping.

it went horrible,,no communication between the owner and the crew that did the work.It took four trips to my house to get the job done and I am not satisfied! I would not recommend this company.

They did a fine job once they got to it. I had started talking to them in the beginning of January, and I kept getting put off. It was busy I know that.

So far so good. I contacted them a liitle late in the season, but they accomodated me without hesitation. They are always on time. Even go the extra mile to cut in between rain if possible. The prices are very fair. Would highly recommend.

I have only had one application thus far, but the offices has been friendly and helpful. After this year, I may add more services.

Great design, clever solutions really worked with us to get a neat plan that was in our budget then the execution went well, and with a job this big there will always be issues and the owner Brian Franco helped us solve each item even two years later.

Arrogant and would only consider replacing the entire wall. Choose a vendor who repaired the wall at a much more reasonable price.

Our experience with Franco Landscaping has been outstanding. Last year, we chose them to design and install a backyard patio hardscape and landscaping, after interviewing handful of other companies. They worked with us on a creative, space efficient design that was within our budget. They managed the installation very professionally (on time, within budget, worked well with 3rd parties (e.g. electrician). They made suggestions and showed flexibility when minor install issues arose ( as they will do on any project), and cleaned up the yard well afterwards. Throughout the project, they communicated very well. We are planning to use them again on a smaller project, and would recommend them for any landscaping project.

They were excellent. We had moved into a new house and our mower was in storage. They always checked with me before performing any services. I would definitely recommend them.

I've used Franco in the past for other clients landscaping projects and lawn care and currently have a contract for snow removal with them. My current client is very happy with the service and I am thrilled with their proactive approach. They will often call to tell me they are heading our way and always arrive at a reasonable time given the snowy conditions. Professional and courtesy and do a good job.

Brian, the owner, was responsive to our requests for an estimate and provided a detailed drawing of our finished project. He had a lot of good ideas and advice that took our general ideas and turned them into a workable plan. Due to previously planned projects, he told us that he wouldn't be able to get to ours until late in the season - Nov/Dec 2014. This allowed us time to prepare the area which did save us some money. His crew was able to start the project in Dec and they worked on it until the weather stopped the project. They returned in early spring and the wall went up quickly. The wall was 2 tiered and looks incredible! They constructed a paver patio with fire ring and a cedar pergola. They worked with us to design a drainage system which reduces some of the issues we had with a low water table and moves the water away from our home. When the hardscape was done, they came back and planted everything that was on the original plan - with some exceptions as they adjusted for the water table in the one area. They recommended a different tree that they felt would be more successful in that area. The plants they recommended were ones that were easy to maintain - a main consideration for those of us without a green thumb! Then when we started to have a problem with one of the plants, again because of too much water, they not only replaced the two that were dying, but also the three others in that area that weren't thriving. Franco Landscaping may not have been the least expensive quote we received, but neither were they the most expensive. Other than items we added and agreed to during the project, their quote matched the final bill. Our backyard was a place I dreaded - weeds, deck to be painted, a deteriorating wood wall. Now it is beautiful, easy to maintain. Brian and his crew did a great job. It took some time to get the project finished, but we knew that going into winter. They were respectful of our neighborhood by cleaning up after themselves. Their staff promptly called me back when we had questions or concerns about the project. We are really enjoying our new back yard!

They were very proffesional and on time when they came to the house. They asked for a $400 deposit to create a landscape design and would be in contact with us in the next 3-4 weeks to follow-up. We never heard back. They cashed the check with no follow-up. I called 4 weeks later to ask when they would be provinding the design. They asked me to give them a due date so they could work towards it. I was not happy that they commited to a date, cash the check and not follow-up They had never started on the design. They put us 4 weeks behind in finding a contractor.. We asked them to refund our money. Which they quickly did.

I am not a customer nor will I ever be a customer. we have witnessed this company clear a neighbors leaves in the fall by blowing them into another neighbors yard. today, they cleared the driveway of 7 inches of snow right onto my sidewalk. He stopped after I started recording him doing it. I would not recommend this company.

The entire project went well. Brian Franco met me and discussed my vision for my patio update, what would work, what wouldn't work. After final plans being drawn up, I provided my downpayment for the project in June 2014 as discussed and was locked in on their busy Summer schedule. Work began Late September/early October 2014 with the pouring of the base for the fireplace. A few days later, the pavers and fireplace was delivered and the work crew showed up the same day and began working. The paver/fireplace installatio was competed in one day. The Cedar Arbors had not been installed. After several days I called Franco to inquire on the project and the fact that the arbors had not yet been installed. Brian quickly had that work scheduled. The arbor install was eventually completed and I received my invoice in the mail. It was missing the Angie's List 5% discount and it was referencing trim work at the top/bottom of the arbors, which did not exist. I called and spoke with Jeff in the office and explained that I had mentioned the 5% Angie's List to Brian upon our initial meeting and Brian had informed me in an email that the 5% would be applied to the final bill. Jeff made the discount adjustment. I inquired to Jeff what the trim work exactly was and after he explained to me what the arbors should look like after completed it was determined that the trim was never installed to the arbors. After adjusting the trim work job request, Jeff scheduled the 3rd party work crew back out to complete the work. Overall, a great experience, professionalism and excellent work quality; Everything you would expect from a business. I would definitely recommend Franco Landscaping. *** Just a note, don't rely on email communications even if that's how the communication is initiated by either party...Always pick up a phone and call them directly. They are very good at returning your call if the call is missed. ***

The designer was the first one (I had met with several companies in the past year) that really listened to what I wanted. The day of install went smoothly. The crew was very pleasant to speak with and worked quickly and neatly. There were a couple plants that didn't seem to take well to the installation, but the designer assured me that it will be taken care of in the springtime if those plants don't come back. The price was a bit more than other companies, but I think it was worth it in the end.
