 + 2 moreWe have worked with them for about 15 years and they are great. They do full landscaping. They did put in new grass and did all of the beds, landscaping, trees and flowers for us last year.
Description of Work: The most recently aerated the yard and they are coming out this week to do a light fall clean up and to replace some shrubs. They also fertilize our lawn all year long.

 + 0 moreOverall - well. Mother nature threw in a couple curve b**** but Franco handled them gracefully.
Description of Work: We invited 5 lanscaping companies to come out and make suggestions and give estimates for a little used, very scruffy area of our back yard, and replace our old, rotted, worn out fence. Our objective was to gain the overgrown, ugly space as additional space to our back yard. Because of the drastic slope that this area had we knew a retaining wall was really our best option. Addtionally, we have four dogs, and so who ever won this bid needed to work very closely with us to ensure that we at least had temporary fencing for the duration of the project to protect our dogs well-being. Brian Franco came out for the original estimate in a pouring rainstorm. He was prompt, courteous, and professional. His bid was accepted and work was scheduled to begin conveniently around our family vacation. The first day of the project, Danny, the hardscape foreman, walked the whole job with me, listened carefully to my concerns and my expectations, and even talked with my neighbors regarding the affect the work on my yard would have on their yards. Thankfully, our neighbors were courteous enough to allow the bob cat to be driven through their yard and on their driveway to enable the close delivery of the HUGE retaining wall blocks. Heavy rain storms hampered the timeline for the project a couple days, but the completion time for the retaining wall was really pretty quick considering having to work around mother nature. All the laborers who showed up for Franco landscaping were courteous and respectful and really a joy to have at our home. I left a cooler out each day with water and gatorade and popsicles because they were working through some incredibly hot and humid days. I would show up in the middle of the day to check on the project and they were always polite and willing to address any questions I had, and were ever vigilent with our four dogs. The wall was finally completed and the back filling and sodding began, and was finished quickly! The ruts from the bob cat in my neighbor's yard were leveled and seeded and straw covered! Then - a HUGE rain! The drainage pattern washed the fresh top soil and seed and straw right down into my neighbors yard and the mud washed out a flower bed of theirs. Brain came out to survey the damage himself and within two days , his crews were back at my house, adding sod and leveling and applying more seed and straw. Then fence job was subbed out to Hittle construction, and those guys were great! The fence was exactly what we asked for, in the perfect spot, with expert construction! Considering the very wet, loose soil, extra care was taken when setting the posts to ensure a sturdy fence. The foreman, Maurice, even helped chase down my two smallest dogs who had become a little mischeivious and headed off on a trek down the street! We couldn't be happier with the end result and the pictures speak for themselves! We will definitely have Franco Landscaping do our next project around our pool. Our thanks go out to Brian Franco for his dilligence, Dan the foreman for his considerations, all the Franco guys for working long and hard in very hot conditions; Maurice for engineering a beautiful fence, and helping bring home our two littlest four-legged children; and the other fence guys for the excellent job they did with our fence.

 + -1 moreI initially met Brian at the Indianapolis Home Show, and scheduled an appointment to get a bid on the hardscape patio we wanted to have done. After meeting him, and also getting bids from 7 other hardscape companies, we decided to go forward with Franco Landscaping. They were not the cheapest bid we received, but they were also no where near the most expensive. More than just the cost, I was impressed with Brian from day 1, and how straight up and honest I felt his answers were to all of our questions. Once the work began, Brian's crew was just as straight up and professional as Brian. They completed the full installation of the patio, firepit, and sidewalk in just a few days. The work and final result was fantastic! My wife and I couldn't have been happier with the work. About two months after the patio was installed, we noticed that water would pool after a heavy rain near the seating wall. I called Brian, and within a few days, his team came back out and created a fix to allow the water to drain. The service and response was top notch, and Brian personally followed up with me to make sure the repair was done to our expectations. My wife and I have very high expectations for anyone we ever hired, and for anyone consdiering hiring Brian Franco and Franco landscaping, I would highly recommend him. We will use him in the future and continue to recommend him to anyone considering a hardscape or landscaping project. We couldn't have been happier with the way our project turned out!

 + -1 moreBrian Franco gave me itemized estimate for purchasing, delivery and installation of the stones. He said I was welcome to purchase and deliver them myself if I wanted to personally pick out the stones. I chose to purchase and deliver the stones myself because I am particular with what goes in my landscaping. We had to reschedule numerous times because of all the rain (I didn't want the bobcat to tear up the yard). Brian was excellent in this matter. He would give me the option of a couple days and I was welcome to choose the day. The night before he was going to install them after several reschedules, it rained again, but we decided to move forward with the installation anyway. His team did a fantastic job installing the stones. They placed plywood down in the yard so the bobcat would not damage the yard. You can't even tell that they used heavy equipment to install the stones. They also did a great job of cleaing up. I worked for my brother's landscaping company for many years when I was in high school and college, and I know good quality landscaping when I see it. I highly recommend Franco Landscaping.

 + -1 moreWe spent about $8,000 on that work and our experience with them went very well. It was really hot weather, but they worked really hard and got work done faster than I thought it would get done. The only thing I did not like was that they were supposed to do a pathway a certain way and they didn?t do it that way but a different way. They were instructed to do it one way, but did it the other way.
Description of Work: We used Franco Landscaping Inc. last Thursday and Friday and they installed a paver patio and moved a bunch of gravel to a different area.

 + 0 moreBrian Franco is very personable and open to suggestions on plantings but also makes recommendations on colors of the landscape plantings in different seasons. He is aware of deer resistant plants. He is easy to work with and also must communicate well with his staff because they went to work right away and knew what to do.
Description of Work: Weeds killed. Ivy pulled out. Grass removed for a new planting bed. Sod placed in one are. Stone wall created to help prevent mulch from draining into the driveway. New plants in front and side of the house. Overgrown yew bushes trimmed back. Mulch place in several areas.

 + -1 moreIt was a good experience. The person who came was very communicative and did a good job. There are still some concerns but I need to wait until spring to correct it. Some places do not look well graded. They should have removed the larger rocks in the area that I am doing now. He was a little expensive but the work was more as well. There were some problems with punctuality but that was due to the weather.
Description of Work: I purchased a lot behind my property. They graded and seeded that land.

 + 1 moreBrian and his team submitted a fabulous plan for our backyard. The final product exceeded our expectations and turned out just beautiful! Brian supervised the product from start to finish and was more than helpful with answering any questions or concerns along the way. The project took longer than anticapated largely due to weather. We did have some problems with the masonary crew but Brian was quick to address the issue and fix the problem. We have a beautiful backyard and would recommend Franco Landscaping for any small or large project.
Description of Work: Franco Landscaping was hired to landscape our backyard. This included a large patio, water feature, an outdoor kitchen with arbor, fire pit and fire place. We also had numerous trees, bushes and mulch added.

 + -1 moreI had a couple of things done by them. I had a tiny leak coming through a basement wall. So, they dug about a foot or so from outside. There was something next to basement part from where the leak was coming through. So, the guy who came to get the job done pulled that out, cleaned it, tarred over it and sealed it back up. He filled it back in, put dirt over it and covered it up. I thought that they were a little high in their price for the amount of time that was spent on the job. I also had a second job done by them at a different residence and that was to bury a gutter line. They brought in a piece of gutter ring and buried it a little bit in the yard. They fixed it up and got the job done. There was another part of the job at the other residence where they filled up dirt around the basement egress window. The guy who came out to get the job done put the dirt down there and I asked him if he was going to pack that dirt or not. So, he told me that it would settle by putting your foot down there and mash it down. That is why I had called him to do, to fill it in. They were very responsive. I would use them again in the future.
Description of Work: I hired Franco Landscaping for my lawn care and maintenance. The last time I used their services was in July.

 + 0 moreBrian runs a very tight ship. He stays in touch and shows up when he says he'll be there. It is obvious from his actions and his word that you can trust him to do what he says. It is important to him that the customer is happy. He has emphasized to me several times that making the customer happy is first on his agenda. The price and days required to do the work were right on. We added some work to the original contract, too. When we found a small problem with water pooling on the sidewalk, Brian sent a team out to inspect the problem. When a quick fix would not solve the problem, Brian arrived with a crew of three, plus a factory rep. In about three hours, they pulled up half the cobblestones, regraded the base, and replaced the stones. The walk no longer has a low spot where water will pool.
Description of Work: Brian's team laid a cobblestone sidewalk from our circle drive to the front porch. His crew was friendly and hardworking. The walk is very attractive and goes well with our farmhouse style home. They also built a retaining wall for an additional $7200 to control water in the sloped back yard. The wall is working well and our erosion problems are solved.

They did put grass seed down and straw to help my lawn. I called to let him know it wasn't working with my four dogs. He asked what it was he could do for me. He came and put in sod. Not only do my pavers look beautiful but my yard looks beautiful too. I was completely satified with his work.

One Forsythia plant and a Serbian Spruce tree didn?t survive and both were replaced promptly. Once again, I am very impressed with quality of work and how Brian Franco stands by his work and provides a quality product. The finished product looks awesome! I should note too, that a different vender installed the concrete landscaping border after Franco Landscaping was complete with the project. Also, during the project the bobcat loader used to install the paver patio accidentally damaged the neighbors landscaping concrete border. There were no excuses given and Brian immediately worked to get it replaced to the satisfaction of my neighbor. We are very satisfied with work ethic and professionalism of Brian Franco and the employees of Franco Landscaping. (2 different projects).

Description of Work: They planted a tree and perennial plants in a backyard corner garden that needed to be "reclaimed", cleaned up the bed, brought in new mulch and offered suggestions for other areas in the yard.
