Fikes Pest Control

Great service. Quick to complete. Removed a hard to reach wasp nest. And went above and beyond- proactively searched my daughters swing set and found and removed a nest found there.

Due to multiple uncontrollable circumstances, the appointment had to be rescheduled 3 times (twice due to rain, once because the worker scheduled to us was ill). The job was originally scheduled for April 27th, but the worker was sick on that day. There was also a disconnect between the front office and the worker in terms of which clients were notified of the worker's illness. As a result, some clients (including myself) were not told that the worker was sick. An hour after our originally scheduled time, we still had not received any contact from anybody associated with the company. The disconnect was only discovered when I called the front office and asked what happened. Once the issue had been discovered, the company rushed to provide us with as much information as they had, and they promptly and professionally rescheduled our appointment. From then on, we had constant communication with the company and the worker, and once the weather cleared, services were provided in a very acceptable manner. I'm of the opinion that the issues we faced are the result of a one-time incident, but I can only grade based on what I observed.

Communication from technician was good, punctuality great, spraying was thorough and efficient. I could tell that he knew what he was doing and was intent on doing a thorough job. We've had zero wasps and spiders since the treatment. The only thing I didn't anticipate was that the treatment would be sprayed so liberally around the eaves that it would drip down the windows and screens in places around the house. Some of the windows are now streaked and need to be cleaned. I'd likely hire Fikes again, though. For the joy of a wasp-less spring and summer, window streaks are worth it to me.

It went well, they were efficient and on time. They also did a follow up call to check on the work.

We had found wasps in our upstairs bathroom. I showed the tech where we found them. He treated outside and said that if they came back within 30 days, he would come back to treat again free of charge. Sure enough, just a few days later, they were back, and in more places. It seemed to me that they were coming in from the attic. I thought perhaps he should at least look in there but he just treated them outside again. They have not been back since so I guess it worked.

Eddie was punctual and explained in detail what he would do to remove the nests. He also inspected the outside fully to ensure that there were not additional nests that were unknown to me. He did find an additional one.

Service technician was very nice over the phone and called promptly to schedule the appointment. Since the service was being performed outdoors, I did not need to be home. When I got home after work nest was gone. Service tech also offered to come back within 30 days if hornets begin rebuilding. Overall very good and easy experience.

Professional, timely and effective

First, several weeks before the service, we weren't sure if we had a toad in the basement... or a rodent. We saw scat down in the basement and these two animals have similar looking droppings. So we called Fikes and explained our situations. They were very honest that it would be best for us to call a critter control to identify the culprit. But they didn't blow us off. They searched for the best, closest company and got us the number so we didn't have to do any leg work. They made no money off of us but still provided great customer service. From there, we called the critter control company. They identified that it was a toad and we were rodent free (thank God). We discussed with that company about spraying for the spiders and few ants that we had in the basement and around the outside of the house. They tried to get something scheduled but, bless their hearts, they were just slammed and never got around to getting back with and scheduling a time to come out. No big deal. So, we called Fikes back and explained our current situation and, less than one hour after speaking with their front office, the tech called us and scheduled an appointment for the NEXT DAY! He was early for his scheduled slot time, but he called to make sure that we were home and being early was ok. Very professional and polite. We had thought he was going to assess and then schedule a repeat visit to actually spray. Nope. He was ready to spray immediately and gave us the option to pay for a one time visit or pay for a treatment plan. There was no pressure at all. He was just providing information. We opted for the treatment plan. He said if we had anymore problems to call them out for another treatment - which I doubt we'll need - and it wouldn't count against our treatment plan. Really nice, really efficient, very thorough, and it's lovely to see all the wolf spiders dying outside. They have customers for life. Or as long as we have wolf spiders in the fall.

They performed the services I asked them to. We still have mosquitoes but in fairness to them, we live on a lake so maybe it's just part of where we live. I can't say it was 100% effective but I can say that post treatment it was better.

We had bothersome carpenter bees. The bees were not guest-friendly. In addition, the bees were boring holes into our porch support beams. Fikes came out and fixed the problem. I waited three months before writing this because I wanted to see if the bees were taken care of. As the tech said, a few bees might show up after the treatment but the residual insecticide would take care of them. He was exactly correct. A couple of bees showed up a few weeks later, but we found them dead on the ground. In other words, Fikes took care of our problem as promised! We have carpenter bee-free all summer long.

They did spray indoors the first time. Our problem still occurred, they came back out at no charge to spray again. That took care of it, they did a great job.

It went very well, they were on time, efficient and effective. They were excellent and I would use them again.

Eddie was very quick to respond and get the appointment set up. Arrived at my house on time, and did a good job. Haven't seen any bees or wasps since he sprayed.

This is the second year we've purchased the mosquito spray from Fikes and it works well for us. Our backyard backs up into the woods so mosquitoes are an issue and we enjoy spending time outdoors in our yard. We've really noticed a difference, especially with all the rain we've had. Lee does a great job in explaining what he will do and the preparations we should take before and following the spray. He's very punctual and responsive in setting up the appointments. It's a great service and we will purchase again in the future.

The technician was professional and responsive. He said he would come back if the bees weren't gone after one treatment. We saw a few more bees, so we did ask for that follow-up. After that second treatment, we have had no bees. Great experience.
