They were listed on Angie's website. They did an excellent job. They came out initially for a repair yesterday and replaced my furnace today. I would highly recommend them. My furnace was a branded one and they were able to give me a switched out. I think they will be my future heating and air company.

Went well. Second guy had to come and install the thermastat, since first guy didnt have the right one on his truck. Appointment took longer than expected. Other than that, appt went well.

They did a really good job. They found the problem which was kind of hard to find. It ended up being fairly inexpensive fix. They could have probably told us we needed a whole new air conditioner.

The technician was very knowledgeable and professional. It was a rainy day and he was careful to cover his shoes as he went in and out of the house to his truck. My furnace is getting towards the end of its life, but he told me that it was still working well and that no repairs were needed. He replaced a very old thermostat as well. He had the thermostat on his truck, so was able to get all the services done in one trip. The price I paid included an annual contract, so it includes the servicing to be done in the spring.

I located this company on Angie's List and they are simply tremendous. I spoke with Matt Moore over the phone about some service that my furnace needed a while back and this time I had them do a tune-up. My girl dealt with him in person and says that he is very personable and a really nice guy. While there he fixed a piece on my water heater which was cost effective. This is why I love Angie's List because what everyone says about them is correct HONEST, PROFESSIONAL, and COST EFFECTIVE. I would recommend them to anyone and now they have a lifetime customer ME. He was helpful. I asked him a question about the filters. He was straightforward in his reply. We also talked a little more about the HVAC in the house and he gave me a tip on keeping the temperature more constant. This is an old house and the returns only return air from the first floor, so the second floor gets colder or hotter than it should. He told me that there is a switch for the fan on the control panel and that I could keep it switched on to run continuously. Doing so will help even out the temperature and make it more comfortable for us. I tried it and it works!

Our A/C went out in July and I didn't get around to calling until early afternoon. The technician was very neat and professional. He gave me tips on easy ways keep it running more smoothly between service calls. It was near 5pm by the time the problem was diagnosed and a new part was needed. Dave managed to convince the part supplier to stay open late and personally delivered it to his technician so they were able to get our unit up and running instead of having to wait until the following day. We live on the far east side so I'm sure this was fairly inconvenient for him. It meant the world to my wife and I who would have had to put two toddlers to sleep in a 90+ degree house (or more likely get a hotel for 6 people for the night $$). And since we were existing customers and the unit was under warranty, he wasn't making a big sale on this one he was just providing quality service. We’ll definitely be staying with this company.

I am very pleased with them. I sign a contract with them in the fall and that takes care of the spring and the fall service. The last time I used them, I did not pay for Freon because I had paid them during last fall. They bought the business from the man, who had been servicing my furnace for years. David is the owner. He has two sons that work with him; one of them is Mark. I am very pleased with their service. They are friendly; they are not pushy. I do not like pushy people. I know when they tell me that I need to replace something. They replaced my furnace several years ago. One of the men who worked for the man, who had sold the business, is still with that company. Last time, I had forgotten to change the filter. David told me that if I got him the filter, he would change it for me. He went ahead and cleaned the air conditioner. He knew that I was getting ready for my vacation. So, he took it outside and cleaned the filter. They are nice people; they are very dependable. I spend about $294 every year, for two services. It covers the cleaning and servicing of my furnace and air conditioner. The contract specifies everything that they do. I am listed as a priority customer and I can have emergency service done by them anytime. They will not charge me for overtime. For one year, primary heating and air conditioning is $129. Each additional air conditioner and heating system is $117. I have two air conditioners. I have dealt with them for years. As compared to another company that I had used many years ago, their prices are good. I will use them in the future.

I was extremely impressed with the thoroughness of the technician. The tech went above and beyond, fixing several items which had never been done correctly in the first place by the original installer. Upon completing the checkup, the tech asked me if I wanted him to show me all of what he had done. I had never been asked this before. I considered this be quite beneficial and it served to further build my confidence in this service company, that they were willing to openly share information with the customer.

I contacted my regular heating & cooling service (where I had been a service contract customer for nearly 10 years) and my call went to an answering machine where I left a message. I remembered that several times in the recent past I had had difficulty getting in touch my regular service company (now my past service company). I signed-on to Angie's list and looked at my past service company's reports and found that they had received many poor grades. I then found Family Heating and Air Conditioning with excellent reports and placed a call to them. While my call did go to voicemail, the owner returned my phone call within the hour. I found him to be very pleasant & responsive and he indicated that service could be onsite within 1-2 hours. I was very pleased with the service personnel and the whole job overall. I was so satisfied that I decided to make a change and carry my annual heating and cooling service contract with Family Heating & Air Conditioning. I signed-up for an annual service contract at a later date on 06/09/11. The first of two checkups included with the annual service contract was performed on my air conditioning on 06/09/11. Once again, I was extremely pleased with the service and very impressed with the thoroughness of the technician.

They installed the furnace in the past, and came and did some minor work on it to get it to work. They are very courteous and prompt.

Family Heating and Air saved us in two ways: money, and sanity. We had another company come out initially, and they told us that our unit would probably go out within 3 month, however, they quoted us at somewhere between $6,500 and $11,000 to replace the whole operating system, inside and out. We called Family Heating and Air after a suggestion from a family member. They were amazing. They took the time to explain what was wrong with it, an were honest with us when we asked questions. They also provided us with 5 different estimates, ranging from $700 to $4600, everything from replacing a part of the outside unit to replacing the entire operating system, and gave their opinion on which of those choices were the safest and why. They didn't push us at all, and we ultimately ended up going with an in-between option that replaced just the outside unit, but not the inside. This is a company we would definitely trust again.

It was awesome! As mentioned, the owner himself arrived on a 95-plus degree, Saturday afternoon in June to attend to our a/c dilemma. He spent over two hours in the heat and sun tracking down the exact cause of the malfunction, and was genuinely happy when he located what needed correcting. He was thorough, extremely polite (HE thanked us profusely upon his departure-and we were the ones benefitting from his help), cleaned up the areas where he worked, and told us to give him a call - no matter the day or time - if we ran into any more problems. The cost was extremely reasonable, especially for an emergency weekend visit. I would not hesitate at all to recommend Family Heating & Air to anyone for any type of heating and cooling need; preventative or emergency.

It was a great company and it is family run. They are very professional, punctual, and I think they are very fair about the price they charge. They are very pleasant to work with. They really kind of back their products.

We have always been pleased with them. We have always been happy with the price and the quality of work has always been good. They will be doing the heating soon. We have an annual contract with them. Sooner or later we will be replacing the air conditioning system and we will probably have them do that.

I highly recommend them. They were prompt and did the work well. Their price was very competitive.

First replaced air conditioner fan on previous visit, then didn't get much cold air, so duct work was done & then later the thermostat was replaced. I must say that we bought our house in 1987 & I don't know exactly when the furnace was put in, so it was probably due for repair.

We called that day and they came out. We got great service. Very professional clean and courteous. They followed good with us. Took their time and explain what they did. They even left the replaced part so my husband could see it was replaced.

(JOB 2) Called the evening before scheduled appointment and an hour prior to arrival. Gary the technician was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain what he was doing and why. Very thorough and conscientious. Have used this company for several years.

The gentleman who came out was really very professional and polite. He took the time to answer all our questions (first time homeowners!) and did a great job. He put in a call to the office since we were also interested in getting our air ducts cleaned, set us up with an appointment for the fall heating unit check and we will probably stay with this company for the coming years.
