Response from Fairchild Property Services
We strive to exceed customer expectations and we were unsuccessful in this situation. When we were contacted, I explained we were committed to several projects and other customer and may not be able to do any repairs for a 2-3 week period. I personally inspected the property within one business day of receiving the phone call and had hoped it would be a project we could do with a limited amount of resources. After inspecting the home, there were was a greater scope of damage that he understood and required additional resources we did not have available. However, I did provide him photos from my inspection and identified other areas that were damaged of which he was unaware. Additionally, I explained that wood pecker damage was the result of insect activity and provided him a local, reliable, competent and reasonable exterminator who could address the cause of his concerns. I explained that until the insects attracting the wood peckers were removed, any repairs would be short lived in that the wood peckers would continue their damage (in pursuit of their food source). We always to try to help and in this instance, we inspected the property, provided the results of our inspection, and referred the customer to an exterminator to address the cause of the wood pecker activity, and committed to getting an estimate to him when our scheduled allowed it. None of that activity was charged. We simply could not respond as quick as the the prospective customer desired. An honest effort was made to help.
